"Why are you looking at like that?" Elena asked, attempting to gauge their reactions.

She then turned to them seriously and added, "Do you think what I did was wrong?"

"No, the way you dealt with them was correct. We are just shocked by how these people acted," Grandpa Caldwell reassured Elena, his voice steady and calm.

Actually, they were genuinely taken aback by Elena’s powerful presence as she confronted those people. Her gentle yet assertive approach to handling the situation was intriguing, and her aura was so overwhelming that it left them in awe.

Seeing them nod in agreent, Elena felt relieved; she valued a team with a unified ideology, believing that if they shared the sa purpose, they could easily understand each other—eliminating doubt and discomfort.

anwhile, Oslo felt distressed by how he had almost believed the three won. He feared that his montary softness from earlier might lead to negative consequences.

"I felt ashad. I almost believed these three won. Their acting skills are so convincing," Oslo said with a heavy sigh, his frustration evident in his tone.

Elena looked at Oslo, feeling bad for his self-reproach. Well, she couldn’t bla him.

These won’s acting skills were truly award-winning. If she hadn’t been aware of this kind of deception from her past life, she might have also believed them.

"You can’t bla yourself; those three won have likely been running this scam for so ti. They probably have many victims, which has made them adept at feigning pitiful," Elena explained.

Then, with a powerful tone, she added, "Rember, we must always be cautious. Never let your guard down, because sotis the most dangerous threats are the ones we least expect."

Everyone nodded in agreent.

Mrs. Ford believed that if she were in Oslo’s position, she would sympathize with these won and want to help them.

However, after witnessing the drama a while ago, she ca to realize that in a disaster, there is no room for pity—only the need to make tough decisions. She vowed to harden her resolve and focus solely on the people within her circle.

"Actually, I think those three won are just pawns used by soone else. Maybe the real mastermind is hiding behind them, watching us covertly," Ethan said.

"They probably used won in their sche because it’s easy to gain sympathy and lower our guard," Grandpa Caldwell added.

Elena agreed with them; working with smart people really made it easy for her.

"And those people gathered around don’t truly understand the situation, yet they act as if they know it all," Uncle Anthony said with disdain.

"Don’t worry about them. Can’t you see the look in their eyes—full of envy? Maybe they see that our situation is good—we have a nice place to stay—while they are living in a makeshift corner. They feel life is unfair and want to bla us." Elena sneered at the thought of those people.

"Even after doing everything—staying low-key—there are still many people like them who will try to find fault with us. Rember, if you can’t handle it gently, then do it the hard way. You must always prioritize safety," Elena added.

’We should listen to wife.’ Ethan thought.

They finally realized that Elena was not a soft persimmon who could be easily bullied but rather a tigress who would fiercely defend herself once provoked.

After their discussion, everyone enjoyed a warm breakfast before preparing to move forward and enter the city.

As they drove, Elena observed that more people were out today—perhaps she hadn’t noticed them last evening. She then glanced at the gloomy sky, wondering why the governnt had no updates or news regarding the weather conditions.

’Did the storm just suddenly appear?’

In her past life, she had been unaware of the news because she was always busy dealing with her Uncle William.

Elena was lost in thought as the RV moved forward and lined up. Many cars were ahead of them, so they patiently waited their turn.

She was interrupted when a military officer announced that their system was finally operational. The gist of the announcent was that they could only confirm individuals who had visited City A in the past, aning those with no record would need to undergo manual checking.

When their turn ca, they quickly exited the RV and lined up one by one.

"Please look at the cara for scanning," a military officer announced.

It took only a minute to verify each person’s information. Elena was the first in line, passed the review, and then walked to an open area to wait for the others

Afterward, everyone successfully entered City A. They quickly returned to the RV, knowing that the journey to Cal Tower would take about an hour, so they settled in and prepared for the drive.

Inside the RV, they didn’t relax, as everyone was preparing to enter the space to complete their tasks. Grandpa Caldwell would feed the animals, Mr. Ford was experinting with the fertile soil to see how well the seeds would grow, Butler Aki was checking the inventory—especially the new goods taken from the gang—and Uncle Anthony was busy fixing the chicken processor.

Mrs. Ford stayed in the RV to cook and prepare als for future use. In addition to being a scientist, she also loved cooking. anwhile, Oslo drove the RV.

With everyone busy with their tasks, Elena and Ethan found themselves alone in the RV’s living area

"I feel bad. They’re so busy while we’re just relaxing and sitting here," Elena said.

"Should we make so aningful use of our ti?" Ethan replied playfully as he sat beside her.

"Be serious. Why are you sitting so close?"

Ethan then hugged her, planting tight kisses on her cheeks and along her neck.

"What are you doing in broad daylight? Have so sha, husband... Nyaa, stop kissing my neck!" Elena giggled at her husband’s antics.

"Wife, let’s take a rest. We’ve been busy these past few days, and I know you’re tired," Ethan said seriously.

"The well water works wonders; my fatigue has lessened slightly," Elena replied, rolling her eyes.

’Are you sure we’re getting rest? Why is my husband so vocal now? In my past life, he was always been cautious around . Did he hold back because he was afraid of ? Now that I keep telling him that he is the person I love the most, his confidence has been boosted, and acts like a wolf at every opportunity. I need to steer him onto the right path; otherwise, I’ll end up in bed, exhausted from his restless energy.’

"Good," Ethan smirked.

"What’s good?" Elena asked, confused.

Ethan then carried her into the main room.

"Grandma Ford, we’re going to Paradise to take a bath. We’ll be back soon," Ethan inford her.

Hearing this, Mrs. Ford nodded.

"Go ahead!" she replied, busy making chicken nuggets, which little Mia liked the most.

They quickly vanished into the RV.
