Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies Chapter 161: Situation
As soon as Elena entered the unit, she felt the chill in the air. It was clear that no heating equipnt or firewood was being used around.
Given the circumstances, she began to worry about the boy’s mother.
Just then, she saw Erick rushing toward a specific room, urgently calling for her.
"Mom, I’m ho! I brought soone with !" Erick exclaid, gently shaking his mother in an attempt to wake her.
Elena followed him into the room.
Inside, a portable wood-burning stove made the cold bearable, provided one was dressed in thick clothing.
Elena rembered that the woman had secured a significant amount of firewood during her last visit to the shop.
However, after observing the room, she concluded that the woman had used the firewood sparingly, likely trying to make it last through the extre cold.
It was evident that they were struggling.
She quickly spotted a middle-aged woman asleep in bed.
However, as she approached, she realized the woman was unresponsive to Erick’s calls, raising her alarm.
Concerned, Elena knelt beside the bed to assess the woman’s condition.
The woman had a fever, and her breath was shallow and labored—a clear indication that sothing was wrong.
Elena felt for her pulse; it was weak and thready.
"Your mom will be fine, but she needs imdiate care," Elena said, trying to reassure Erick. "Let’s call soone to help us."
Since Aunt Liza was busy, Elena decided to contact Lydia. Lydia had assisted Aunt Liza for so ti and had shown great diligence in learning about dicine.
Elena was confident that Lydia could help assess the situation.
"Is my mom really okay?" Erick asked, his voice trembling with worry.
"Let’s find out," Elena replied, trying to sound confident.
When Lydia arrived, she quickly assessed the woman lying in bed.
After a few tense monts, she turned to Elena with a serious expression, indicating the gravity of the situation.
"Elena, this boy’s mom needs to be admitted soon. She has a severe fever, a weak pulse, and is malnourished and dehydrated," Lydia said, sharing her findings.
She then looked at Elena, awaiting her decision.
Even though Erick didn’t understand what they were saying, he felt that his mom was in danger. He looked scared and began to cry.
"Mom, mom, wake up!" he begged, shaking her gently.
"Stop crying; your mom will be alright," Elena reassured him. "Let’s take her to Paradise Hospital."
"Are you sure about this?" Lydia asked, uncertainty in her voice.
"Yes," Elena confird, deciding to mark the boy and his mother later.
With a wave of her hand, they vanished from the unit and entered the space.
Erick felt confused by the sudden change in his environnt, but seeing his mother and the sisters beside him helped calm him down.
He began to observe the beautiful surroundings, which were a stark contrast to the white, frozen city outside.
Elena swiftly teleported them to Paradise Hospital, where they could provide urgent dical care for Erick’s mother.
Afterwards, Lydia promptly administered dicine and well water to help alleviate her fever.
With nothing else to do and reassured by Lydia that Erick’s mother would be fine, Elena took the boy outside the hospital to get sothing to eat.

anwhile, Ethan finally arrived at the intersection leading to Building A. They wanted to assess the situation first before choosing their new shop location.
As they glided through the area, they encountered a few residents banding together to cut down trees and collect anything that could be used as firewood.
"Let’s observe and see how the residents are moving," Ethan suggested.
"Well, according to the people who bought supplies from us, the residents living in that building are managed by a policeman, so things are still sowhat orderly. However, there are so who could be described as deranged," Dr. Paige inford them.
"Then let’s see if we can talk to them peacefully and set up a shop according to our rules," Ethan replied.
But before they could proceed, a group of thugs unleashed a barrage of improvised projectiles at them, with so having guns.
"Dodge!" Ethan commanded, firing a shot in retaliation.
Bang! Bang!
A sudden gunshot startled the thugs, and the standoff between them began.
Ethan could sense that the thugs were moving in sync, likely because they had been working together for a long ti.
Their coordination was unnerving, but Ethan was determined not to back down.
"Boss, what do we do? They have guns!" one of the thugs shouted, panic creeping into his voice.
"What are you doing? Hide now, or do you want to beco their target?" the leader barked back, his authority wavering as he assessed the situation.
They had noticed Ethan and his companions a while ago, and as usual, they wanted to snatch their equipnt forcefully.
The thugs had established themselves as the leaders of this area, relying on their weapons to intimidate and eliminate anyone who crossed their path.
Their reputation for violence made them a formidable threat. But this ti, they had made a grave miscalculation.
Ethan and Dr. Paige exchanged a quick glance, signaling each other to fire again. They were determined not to be easy targets.
Soon, another round of gunfire erupted, with Ethan and Dr. Paige firing relentlessly as their shots echoed through the tense air.
Caught off guard by the sudden counterattack, the thugs began to falter.
The leader, overwheld and cornered by their precise shooting, realized he was rapidly losing control of the situation. He quickly devised a plan.
"Run for your life!" the leader shouted, sending her subordinates running in different directions to confuse Ethan and the others.
"Don’t let them escape!" Ethan retorted, determined not to let them live any longer.
He knew how dirty these thugs were; they had probably killed many to acquire more supplies and maintain their healthy appearance.
Blood painted the area red as the thugs fell one by one, but so still managed to escape. Ethan did not pursue them, as they had split up and it would be dangerous to follow.
"These thugs probably believe they are kings just because they wield weapons," Daniel said with disdain, his voice dripping with contempt for their arrogance.
Dr. Paige nodded in agreent.
"Alright, let’s move quickly before more of them show up. Let’s go inside Building A to negotiate," Ethan urged, glancing around for any signs of additional threats.
They hurriedly entered the eerie and silent Building A.
