"With the power of the jade-hilted iron sword, there’s really no need for Five Elents runes or such. The only useful thing about these runes is that they allow to control it better."

"Half for floating runes and half for moving runes."

The jade-hilted iron sword was mighty beyond all, Li Ming couldn’t evoke its true power. Rather than using Five Elents runes or those that augnt raw power, it’s much suitable to use the basic control runes to better handle it.

"Once I’ve etched these, I should be able to genuinely control the sword in flight."

Expectation arose in Li Ming’s heart as he flipped over the jade-hilted iron sword and comnced solemnly etching runes on its side.

On this side, he only etched one rune, the floating rune.

Fortunately, after constant practice, Li Ming could inscribe with an exceptionally small stroke, which, once he settled down, made the etching process swift.

He used the finest jade dust to etch ninety-nine lines before finally stopping.

To the naked eye, it was seen that jade-like lines andered along the sword, coming to a stop midway.

"The Celestial Jade Phosphorescent Sword really is extraordinary. Even with ninety-nine runes etched onto it, there’s not even the slightest of reaction."

Li Ming admired the sight, a smile spreading across his face. Ninety-nine runes were almost impossible to achieve according to the "Basics of Artifact Control".

Yet, it was as if the Celestial Jade Phosphorescent Sword didn’t feel pressured at all, not exhibiting a hint of a reaction. If it weren’t for Li Ming’s ability to perceive the connection between his energy and these runes, he would have thought these runes were useless.

"Ninety-nine runes is the best I can control with my current energy. Any more would not be worth the effort and would even compromise the aesthetic of the sword. This level both fully utilizes my energy and ensures that it’s not excessive, simply perfect."

Li Ming chuckled while a thought moved through his mind. The jade-hilted iron sword floated in the air, guided by the energy within him.

He nodded in approval, then began inscribing kinetic runes on the other side. After another ninety-nine runes, he paused.

With a surge of energy within him, the Celestial Jade Phosphorescent Sword imdiately flew towards him. The entire process required no physical effort from Li Ming.

Under the guidance of telekinesis, the runes etched on the sword automatically lded with the energy of the world around, relying entirely on the forces of the cosmos to resist gravity and take flight.

All he had to do was control this process.

"I guess this is true sword flight."

Thinking of the ti he lifted himself using the powers of his mind, Li Ming laughingly manipulated the Celestial Jade Phosphorescent Sword to dart around the room, experiencing the lithe movents and the weightlessness.

"Controlling these ninety-nine runes feels pretty much the sa as holding it in my hand."

Li Ming laughed again. After all, runes were a ans of long-range control. If there were too few, it’d be quite challenging to control precisely. Thus these basic runes were often used on handheld weapons to enhance their might.

Or, they would just inscribe two or three simple runes for straightforward flights and travels. Judging by the depictions in movies, this might be the reason why many practitioners fly around in such odd ways.

Foremost amongst these reasons was — poverty.

" Let’s take it for a flight and see what it feels like in reality."

With a thought, Li Ming gently vaulted onto the Celestial Jade Phosphorescent Sword. In the next mont, he used his ntal force to activate the runes on the sword beneath him and directed the flying sword towards the outside world.

"Whoosh..."

A gust of wind swept past as Li Ming sped out of the villa and soared into the sky.

"Hum..."

Ninety-nine dynamic runes and ninety-nine floating runes thrust forth together. With the synergy of cosmic power, they swiftly carried Li Ming’s figure into the sky.

"This feeling...."

Li Ming’s eyes glead uncontrollably. The roaring wind whipping against his face felt no more than a gentle breeze. He looked up at the vast sky above and cheerfully accelerated his flight.

Only when he reached a layer of cloud did Li Ming have his fun by circling the cloud and subsequently plunging headlong into it.

Strands of wind howled around him as he looked down to see the expansive earth below. A strong sense of freedom welled up within him.

"Phew, this feels aweso."

Li Ming took a deep breath, his gaze was sharp and clear. He couldn’t resist stepping on the Celestial Jade Phosphorescent Sword and flying in various positions in the sky.

He hung upside-down, freely turning over. With Li Ming’s current strength, he was free to play with whatever he wanted to in the sky, even if his feet were on the sword and his body was upside down.

Sotis he lay down to fly, sotis he knelt down, sotis he stood on the sword, sotis he fell backward always with laughter ringing from his lips.

"Now this, this is flying."

Li Ming thought of the ti when he had flown by lifting himself and a radiant smile bead on his face. The experience of flight like this was so much more exciting than having to lift himself!

"Oh-hoo~"

Li Ming whooped, laughing blissfully as he flew again in the sky.

He flew back and forth repeatedly over the city base. Sotis he flew so low that he startled the pedestrians below, other tis he flew so high that he darted in and out of the clouds.

At his maximum speed, he even broke the sound barrier, attaining supersonic speeds.

"Whoosh..."
