"They trade this kind of stuff at the auction?"

Li Ming, in the VIP room on the third floor, couldn’t help but comnt as his eyes lit up at the sight of a zombie crystal nucleus being displayed for trading.

"Yes, aside from so precious zombie crystal nuclei, other common nuclei will show up in the auction. Ordinary zombie crystal nuclei aren’t worth much money, but a precious crystal nucleus has a very high purchasing power."

Cuicui found it hard to explain, but she made an effort.

"Consuming a zombie crystal nucleus directly, there’s a certain probability of awakening as one with special abilities, but it seems that this probability is extrely low. Apart from so precious zombie crystal nuclei that are worth a gamble, the rest will be put up for trade once enough has been preserved for research. It’s up to whoever is willing to gamble with their lives."

Despite the difficulty, Cuicui patiently explained the situation regarding this item in the base city.

"Oh, then have this one procured for ."

Li Ming tapped her lightly and said smilingly. Cuicui promptly nodded and moved slowly towards the auction table. She lit up a lamp there and then pointed at the trading table nearby, hinting, "You can press on it to indicate how many resources you are willing to use for the trade. Once you press, the indicator light in front of our box will show the number you’ve pressed, which will then be seen by the presenter who will complete the transaction based on the amount."

"So it’s a value comparison, right?"

Li Ming straightened his back. Seeing him do so, Cuicui took a deep breath and nodded. Li Ming lost no ti and, after so thought, pressed the number 100.

"A VIP on the third floor chose to trade. Are there other VIPs who wish to bid?"

The presenter surveyed the room but saw only one indicator light. After calling out three tis and receiving no response, she reluctantly pronounced the deal with a slam of the gavel, and the item was sent to that VIP room.

Soon, Li Ming on the third floor heard a knock on the door. At his invitation of ’co in’, the door was pushed open, and a uniford female staff mber entered smilingly, placing the crystal nucleus on the coffee table before leaving as she saw him busy with sothing else.

Li Ming straightened his back while Cuicui obediently "escorted" him to the coffee table. He picked up the crystal nucleus and looked at it as a piece of information floated again in his mind.

[Mutation factor detected: Comprehensive body enhancent, quality: Inferior. This factor contains chaotic elents. Do you want to purify it?]

Murmuring ’no’ silently, Li Ming smirked and put the crystal nucleus into his backpack.

So much for high probability. When it’s in my hands, it’s a guaranteed success!

Exchanging a hundred pounds of mutated beast at for one, worth it!

"The remaining mutated beast at isn’t much. Good timing, there are plenty of mutated beasts in North City. I’ll go and hunt a couple to replenish."

Li Ming thought to himself and saw that four more flesh-type zombie crystal nuclei had consecutively appeared on the trading table. He imdiately took all of them, each equivalent to a hundred pounds of beast at.

"Counting the seven I had before, now I have twelve crystal nuclei."

Li Ming counted in his mind. Seeing no more crystal nuclei coming up, he decided to stop spending.

After squandering the mutated beast at at ho over these days, coupled with the purchase of these crystals, all that was left was just over a hundred pounds. Barely enough to feed his family for a few days.

Until he gets more mutated beast at, there’s no hurry to buy anything else.

While pondering, Li Ming kept sticking the spear and leisurely watched the ongoing trades on the trade podium.

Following the crystal nuclei, weapons forged from special ability tal were auctioned off. After several items were auctioned, that segnt of the auction stopped.

Finally, it was ti for the grand finale of the auction.

"The final item of this auction — an armored vehicle made from a special ability tal, with defense far superior to normal vehicles..."

"Exchange requires: ten rits!"

"..."

"The final item of this auction — a crossbow made of a special ability tal, achieving effective firing range of kiloter, extrely powerful..."

"Exchange requires: fifteen rits!"

"..."

"The grand finale of this auction- a special ability source crystal!"

In the exhibition hall, a charming beauty in a long dress walked out holding a fist-sized crystal radiating an irresistibly attractive glow under the lights. In an instant, all eyes in the VIP area focused on it.

"This special ability source crystal was left over by Lord Lei Ming. While it’s useless for Lei Ming, it is still a rare opportunity for other special ability users to upgrade their abilities."

"As the saying goes, ’Opportunity knocks but once.’ I hope the mutated zombies and beasts in the base city surroundings are aware of this golden opportunity. By seizing it, you could beco stronger and have a better foothold..."

The presenter treated this last item differently from the previous ones. She made a vigorous pitch to raise the atmosphere before revealing the exchange requirent of this grand finale item.

"To exchange for this power source crystal, you need: fifty rits!"

"The way to calculate rit is one regular mutated zombie / mutated beast equals one rit, a special mutated zombie / powerful mutated beast counts as two rits, and a formidable mutated zombie / formidable mutated beast counts as five rits!"

"As long as you hunt these creatures and bring their carcasses to the trade center for verification, you can earn rits. Once sufficient rits are accumulated, you can exchange any items you desire. However, apart from mutated zombie bodies, we do not recycle mutated beast carcasses!"

"As everyone knows, the bodies of mutated zombies are of use to the research institute. Since they are of no use to us, when calculating rits, mutated zombie bodies will be taken back..."
