Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World Chapter 129: Xie Ziyuan’s Worrying State
Su Yining was taken aback by Zhou Yunhan’s urgent words.
The base is under attack? It just happens when Yuanyuan is unconscious, she thought.
However, Zhou Yunhan’s loud voice seed to be able to rouse Xie Ziyuan from his unconscious state. The silver wolf beastman on the bed abruptly opened his eyes.
They were bloodshot red.
Then, he let out a guttural, beast-like sound from his throat. He was definitely not in his right mind, making Su Yining beco more worried.
She was quick-witted enough to notice Yuanyuan’s wrong state. Usually, when she poked him a lot of tis, he would rub his cheek in annoyance. Yet, the figure on the bed was clearly ignoring the soft breeze on his skin.
He was halfway into becoming a complete silver wolf—a feral one.
A howl escaped from his lips, and fortunately, Zhou Yunhan couldn’t hear it. There was an array covering the whole watchtower, making all the noises inside unable to reach the outside world.
Xie Ziyuan’s room in the watchtower was even more complicated. There was even an array created specifically for defense. If soone forcefully broke in, it could trigger these chanisms.
He didn’t stay awake for long. In a few minutes, Xie Ziyuan’s body, which already had fur covering most of his skin, collapsed to the floor again.
Su Yining was quick enough to catch his chibu figure in ti. She gently put him back on the bed, getting more restless by second.
Outside Yuanyuan’s room, Zhou Yunhan still hadn’t given up. He probably thought that Xie Ziyuan was simply deep in ditation and unaware of his current state.
Unfortunately, the commotion he made also seed to trigger the chanism protecting Xie Ziyuan’s room. Su Yining’s heart nearly leaped out of her chest when she saw countless knives headed toward Zhou Yunhan’s figure.
"Watch out!" She instinctively yelled. Of course, Zhou Yunhan couldn’t hear her, but since he was a black panther, he had an easier ti evading most of the knives.
Still, so of them managed to graze his skin.
Zhou Yunhan stared at the knives which were embedded on the wall and floor in shock. Where had they co from? Even until now, his heart was beating fast. Had he been a second late, his body would have been stabbed by so many knives.
"Master Xie?" He sent a deep look toward Xie Ziyuan’s room.
Soon, his pupils constricted. There was another attack! This ti, his reaction was a little slower, but Su Yining eventually saved him.
There were arrows coming out from another compartnt.
In order to make sure Zhou Yunhan wouldn’t lose his life, Su Yining decided to leave Yuanyuan for a while. She kept on dragging Zhou Yunhan away the mont she saw a chanism was activated.
"Go outside..." Su Yining muttered helplessly. She had no way of directly telling him that, but there was always a way.
"Miss Owner?" Zhou Yunhan was taken aback and called out slowly. Not long after, he could feel a soft breeze pass by and sothing tugged on his sleeve, trying to drag him to go down from the watchtower.
"You want to go down?" He asked, following the direction she wanted.
Su Yining poked his right hand, hoping he would understand it the sa way Fang ilin did. Fortunately, Fang ilin had told him, and as such, he understood what she wanted.
Still feeling rather complicated, he asked as he walked down the stairs. "Is Master Xie alright?"
He didn’t receive any answer.
Su Yining had already returned to Yuanyuan’s chamber. She believed in Zhou Yunhan’s character; he definitely would leave the watchtower as she had told him.
Xie Ziyuan didn’t wake up again. His eyebrows were still deeply furrowed, as if he was plagued by sothing.
He was definitely in a lot of pain, she could tell. Biting her lip, she desperately checked the ga shop again, trying to figure out what was wrong with him.
This ti, she tried to calm herself down and read all the item’s description one by one. Her eyes landed on each pill. Originally, she didn’t dare to take any random pills for him, only the ones he had consud before.
She was worried she might aggravate his illness further. But, this ti, she really wanted him to try so new pills.
Her eyes landed on the detoxification pill. She solemnly read its description and made sure that there was no strong effect. Only then did she dare to stuff it into Yuanyuan’s mouth.
It was expensive but she didn’t care about its price. As long as her Yuanyuan could recover, it was worth it!
"It has no effect?" She mumbled as she stared like a hawk on the little figure on the bed.
He still hadn’t moved, but after so ti passed, his skin wasn’t so red anymore. Su Yining heaved a sigh of relief. It seed that this detoxification pill worked.
But... isn’t this pill for curing poison?
How could Yuanyuan contract poison without her knowing? She furrowed her brows in thought. Was it during their ti in the forest? After all, she wasn’t with them all the ti.
The more she thought about it, the more she found that it made sense.
She thought that his recovery might take a while, so she might as well check on the base’s condition. Just as Zhou Yunhan had said, there were many fierce beasts around the base.
However, they seed to be repelled by so kind of force.
"Master Xie should be the one who had cast this protective asure for the base," Fang ilin muttered as she saw the flickering lights in the sky.
It had enveloped the whole castle, keeping the fierce beasts at bay. As such, no matter how they howled, roared, or clawed, they couldn’t get in.
"But... this protective shield won’t last forever." Fang ilin delivered the last blow that shattered the fantasy in their heads. She glanced at the watchtower worriedly.
As a snake beastman, she could vaguely sense other snake beastn’s state. Xie Ziyuan’s current condition wasn’t positive.
Su Yining bit her lip the mont she saw the sheer force of fierce beasts surrounding the castle. There were rows of various beasts, ranging from carnivore to herbivore.
The presence of birds almost blotted the sky.
On top of that, these fierce beasts still kept on coming.
At this mont, Su Yining suddenly received a notification. The Leng siblings had returned; they put the last few drops of water from the space rings into the moat.
The quest was complete.
Her eyes widened at the kind of reward she received. Her heartbeat quickened.
