A sudden shift in his deanor broke the quiet tension.

He glanced towards the doorway, a subtle unease flickering in his eyes. "Alright, that's enough." His voice, though still firm, held a hint of urgency. "Ti to clean yourself up. They'll be here soon."

Her movents faltered, her lips still gently licked his shaft. A soft sigh escaped her, a sound that held a strange reluctance.

Her gaze, which had been distant, now flickered down to his still-partially erect mber, a lingering warmth in her eyes.

He noticed her hesitation, a raised eyebrow questioning her inaction. "What are you waiting for? I said clean up." The edge in his voice returned.

She didn't imdiately release him. Instead, her hand tightened slightly, and her gaze lifted to et his, a newfound stubbornness hardening her features. "Why?" The single word hung in the air, a quiet act of defiance.

He stared at her, a mixture of surprise and annoyance crossing his face. "Why? Because I said so. And because they'll be here any minute." He gestured impatiently towards the unseen doorway.

Her grip didn't lessen. Her eyes, though still holding a trace of weariness, now held a spark of sothing akin to possessiveness. "Just... a little longer." Her voice was a low murmur, a stark contrast to her earlier defeated tone.

He scoffed, a harsh sound that broke the fragile shift in the atmosphere. "Don't be ridiculous. Get off." He made a move to pull away, but her grip tightened further, a surprising strength in her touch.

A strange tension filled the room. He looked down at her, a flicker of confusion now mixing with his irritation.

Her eyes held a strange allure, a silent plea that contradicted her earlier exhaustion.

The power dynamic had subtly shifted, her reluctance to release him creating an unexpected stalemate.

He sighed, a sound of exasperated resignation. "Don't make this difficult. Just clean up and get dressed." But his voice lacked its previous commanding edge, a hint of uncertainty creeping in as he t her surprisingly insistent gaze.

The weight of her lingering touch, the unexpected possessiveness in her eyes, was a confusing and unwelco complication.

-

A sigh, heavy with reluctance, escaped her lips. The newfound possessiveness in her eyes slowly faded, replaced by the dull ache of exhaustion and the stark reality of her situation.

With a final, lingering touch, she released him and slowly, stiffly, pushed herself up from the bed.

"This was the only ti that i felt like this with a man"

She spoke in low voice. Her movents were sluggish as she gathered the soiled sheets, a grimace twisting her features as she surveyed the ss.

The air in the room hung thick with the evidence of their brutal encounter. She avoided his gaze as she began the arduous task of tidying the bed.

He watched her, his expression a mixture of impatience and a growing unease about the impending arrival of "the others." Once she started cleaning, he swung his legs over the side of the bed, the cool air raising goosebumps on his skin. He grabbed the discarded shawl, wrapping it around his waist with a curt, efficient movent, his eyes already focused on the door.

"Hurry up with that." His tone was clipped, brooking no argunt. "I need to check the lower floors. Make sure everything's... clear."

He didn't elaborate on what needed to be clear, the unspoken threat hanging heavy in the air.

She nodded curtly, her movents still slow and deliberate as she wrestled with the stained bedding.

She didn't et his gaze, her silence a stark contrast to her earlier, brief mont of defiance.

He stood up, the shawl a makeshift barrier against the chill. His eyes scanned the room one last ti before settling back on her.

"Don't take all day." With that, he turned and strode out of the bedroom, a sense of urgency propelling him as he disappeared down the hallway, leaving her alone amidst the remnants of their violent encounter.

Ruel checked his returns as he moved through the lower floors with a practiced, almost bored efficiency.

"The returns are of rare category this ti." he looked at the Rare Clayovorance Skill card and Epic Double edged Sword.

"System brief on those two" ruel asked as he was eager to know his new skill and weapon.

"Hmm this one looks pretty good. now i dont have to look for any new weapons for a long ti"

" With the Swords Skill and the Epic Double edged Sword i dont have to fear any zombies, unless its any boss" he self reflected as he moved faster.

Moving throught the floors, each room was a mirror of the last – overturned furniture, shattered remnants of lives abruptly ended, and the lingering stench of decay.

His eyes scanned automatically, his mind already elsewhere.

He knew there was nothing of value left; the initial sweep had confird that. Yet, a restless energy kept him moving, a pointless trip of empty spaces.

A low grunt escaped him as he kicked aside a broken vase, the sound echoing in the desolate silence. "Waste of ti." He muttered to himself, his breath misting slightly in the cool air.

Finally, he found himself back at the intersection, the designated eting point.

He leaned against a graffiti-scarred wall, the shawl still wrapped loosely around his waist.

His arms crossed over his chest, his posture radiating a lazy impatience.

His gaze drifted down the empty corridor, a flicker of anticipation mixed with a weariness that spoke of countless similar waits.

A sigh escaped him. "Co on, already." He shifted his weight, the silence stretching, amplifying the hollow feeling of the empty building.

He knew they'd arrive eventually, laden with whatever ager scraps they'd managed to scavenge.

But the waiting always grated on him, a stagnant pause in the brutal rhythm of their survival.

His eyes narrowed, scanning the dim light at the end of the corridor, a silent demand for their arrival etched on his face.

-

The silence of the lower floors was finally broken by a cacophony of sounds echoing down the corridor.

Muffled footsteps grew louder, interspersed with the low murmur of voices, occasionally punctuated by sharper tones of argunt and complaint.

Ruel straightened from his lazy slouch against the wall, a flicker of sothing akin to relief, mixed with his usual impatience, crossing his features.

"Took you long enough." He muttered under his breath, his eyes narrowing as the group finally ca into view.

Boss Chen a burly man with a perpetually scowling face, led the way, while big ben with his voice booming even before he was fully visible. "Damn rats were everywhere! Barely got enough for a decent al."

Nina, her face grimy but her eyes sharp, trailed behind, her arms clutching a small, tattered backpack. "Don't exaggerate, Big Ben. We got enough bandages, at least." Her tone was weary, the usual spark in her eyes dimd.

Skinny, a lanky figure who always seed on edge, was locked in a hushed but intense argunt with Big Ben,

a hulking brute whose movents were as slow as his temper was short. "I saw it first, Ben! That can of beans was mine!" Skinny hissed, gesturing animatedly with a dirt-stained hand.

Big Ben just grunted, his massive fra lumbering forward. "Finders are keepers, runt." He didn't even bother to look at Skinny.

Ruel watched their approach, a sardonic twist to his lips.

The usual squabbling over scraps. "Sounds like another productive outing." His voice was dry, laced with a familiar cynicism as the group finally reached the intersection.

His gaze flickered over their ager haul, confirming his earlier assessnt. Just enough to keep them going, nothing more. The endless cycle continued.
