Inside the space house, Luo paced around nibbling on his fingers. Unable to bear the worry in its chest, Luo turned to the blue screen hovering in the air.

"It’s been hours since they both lost consciousness, and they look like they are in pain... do sothing about it, what if they don’t wake up?"

The system’s screen remained blank.

Luo turned to Laurel and Ling Xuan who were still unconscious. Luo interlocked its fingers as if it was praying they got up soon.

The yin-yang necklace on Laurel’s neck floated above her chest, and the black and white yin-yang began to rotate in a circular motion.

Two half-circles in the shape of fish, one half white and the other black ford on the ground underneath Ling Xuan and Laurel. The circle expanded, taking up half of the space room.

[Step back.]

Luo imdiately floated away from them, hovering close to the system’s screen.

The room turned darker, reflecting the colour of the yin-yang energy.

"Can you tell now, what is happening to them?" Luo asked without peeling its eyes from them.

[Sigh.]

[They are awakening their abilities.]

The system replied with a bored voice.

"Oh, you could have told , then I wouldn’t worry too much about them," Luo said, breathing out in relief.

Laurel and Ling Xuan’s bodies floated up, hovering midway in a standing position, their heads drooping over their shoulders.

A yin symbol of a white fish-shaped half circle appeared behind Laurel, spinning slowly behind her. While a yang symbol of a black fish-shaped half circle appeared behind Ling Xuan, and it was also spinning slowly behind her.

Then, Ling Xuan and Laurel floated towards each other, closing the space between them. The air around them pulsed with energy, as the symbols behind, slowly rotated around them.

anwhile, beneath them, the black and white symbol continued spinning and the energy was like a cloud of black and white sea.

Laurel and Ling Xuan simultaneously raised their heads, and their eyes opened simultaneously. Laurel’s eyes were completely white and they shone brightly, and Ling Xuan’s eyes were purplish with dark energy oozing around the edges.

Then, slowly a three-petalled lotus mark ford on Laurel’s forehead, its flowers were white with faint golden lines around the edges.

At the sa ti a purplish single-petalled lotus ford upside down on Ling Xuan’s forehead, with a small black dot at the bottom of the flower.

"A huadian?" Luo muttered under its breath. "This is the first ti a soul sync masters gets a huadian... does this an...?"

[Luo]

The system cautioned before Luo could finish its words.

Luo imdiately lowered its head, fidgeting with its hands.

Laurel and Ling Xuan’s bodies folded into a fetal position like a twin facing each other, and yin-yang energy spinning around them slowly turned to a half black and white lotus, its petals gently wrapped around them, covering them completely in its huge flower.

The Lotus flower hovered above the yin-yang energy circling on the ground.

"Does this an they succeeded?" Luo turned to the system.

[70% succeeded.]

...

Outside the system’s space, the loud knocking noise on a door echoed through the silent night.

The hand hovered above the door for a mont, when no one answered, it pondered on the door restlessly again.

"Open the door!" Alexander finally yelled, unable to contain his emotions.

’Could it be she is inside with him, and they are having a good ti together, that is why he didn’t open? No... no, Laurel assured nothing was going on between them....

What if she was lying so I wouldn’t suspect them? Why else would she want to treat his illness if there was nothing between them?’

He let out a frustrated sigh. ’Was he the reason she really asked for a divorce?... Is she cheating on ?’

He ran his fingers through his dark hair, his eyes glaring at the door, as if it had offended him.

His fist hovered against the door, ready to knock again but the door suddenly swung open, and the sudden action almost made him lose his composure.

Before him stood a fair pale man in black robes, his dark hair was wet and shiny, with drops of water clinging to the tip of the curling strands. Water trickled down his face, down to his neck.

When Alexander’s gaze t with Chris’s cold ones, he had to ntally chide himself for almost forgetting the reason for coming. However before he could speak, Chris had already started talking.

"What do I owe this unexpected visit, Mr. Wayne?" Chris’s voice held no amusent.

At his question, Alexander’s gaze darkened. "Where is my wife?"

"Your wife?" Chris muttered under his breath, and the words left a bitter taste in his mouth.

"Why are you asking about her?" Chris said, narrowing his eyes at him.

"Don’t answer my questions with question Mr. Lennox, my patience is already running thin," Alexander said through gritted teeth.

"Oh?" Chris said as if he was amused but his cold gaze said otherwise. "And how is that my business if your patience is running thin?"

At his question, Alexander felt the last bit of restraint was snapping. His fist tightened beside him. "Just answer my goddamn question, is she with you?"

Chris’s brooding gaze fixated on him. Seconds went by and he didn’t utter a word.

Smoke was literally coming out of Alexander’s ears and nose.

But before he could snap, Chris leisurely opened his mouth to speak as if he had all the ti in the world.

"Why would you think she is here with ?" He asked again.

"Don’t play with Mr. Lennox, aren’t you her patient, is she here? Yes or no?!" Alexander’s veins on his throat bulged out as he spoke. He never liked Chris, coupled with the fact that he was close to Laurel, he was on the top list of people he hated the most.

"I’m her patient, but aren’t you her assistant? How could she co here and you aren’t aware of it?" A faint smirk ford on Chris’s lips.
