Chapter 290: Chapter 289: Let Go of That Girl (16) Chapter 290: Chapter 289: Let Go of That Girl (16) Su Shu wondered, “This weird weather, could it actually be planning to rain?”

The Little Snake King was still lazily coiled up on that peach tree, and recently, she had noticed that it seed to love hanging around there. Could it really be that comfortable?

These past few days, as she had been coming in and out, the Little Snake King had gone from initially lifting its body to inspect to now completely ignoring her.

Letting Su Shu bustle in and out beneath the peach tree.

After several hours, Su Shu had checked every visible corner of the space and had not found anything particularly unusual, so she walked up to the peach tree, slightly lifted her chin, and looked up obliquely.

“Hey, wake up!”

The Little Snake King squinted its snake eyes, looking annoyed, “What do you want?”

“Didn’t you say last ti that the space is self-repairing? Is it repaired yet?”

“Look for yourself, why ask ?”

“Haven’t you researched it?”

The Little Snake King reluctantly flicked its tail tip toward the sky, “There, look up. With the sky all dark and gloomy, do you think it’s repaired?”

Su Shu stared up for a while, muttering to herself, “This is really strange, it’s never been like this before.”

“Before? Hmph, before it was a dead object, only now is it starting to co to life.”

Su Shu glanced back at it, “Dead object? A dead object managed to trap you inside, you’re not that impressive either.”

The snake’s tail “whapped” down, lifelessly dangling on the peach tree branch.

“You wouldn’t understand if I told you.”

“Hmm, I guess I don’t really understand.” After gazing up at the sky for a mont, she asked, “Look at this sky, do you think it’s going to rain?”

“Rain?!”

“Not raining?”

“In your dreams, this crappy space of yours is only level what, and you’re hoping for rain.” Not even a fry in the little river, but you’re dreaming big.

Su Shu always felt this damn snake had an infuriating way of speaking. She stood on her tiptoes, reached up, and yanked it down from the tree, nearly provoking it.

“Dare to bite and see what happens,” Su Shu warned coldly.

Grinding its teeth fiercely, in the end, it decided to hold back.

“What the hell, I was perfectly fine up there, and you just had to drag down.”

A twitch flickered across Su Shu’s forehead… Drag you, my foot!

She casually placed the Little Snake King on the stone table in the courtyard, then pointed at a bag of mushrooms beside, “Help figure out which ones are poisonous and which ones aren’t?”

The Little Snake King exclaid in surprise, “You can’t be serious? You dragged down just to have test for poison?”

Su Shu fetched a cup of water from the well, and brought it back along with a little bowl that she set in front of the Little Snake King.

“I’d almost forgotten about this bag of mushrooms, rembered it just now. I picked them after all, it’d be a waste to throw them away, yet I can’t eat them either. Aren’t you the Snake King? Your kind has loads of deadly toxins, this should be a piece of cake for you, right?”

“Which eye of yours saw that this is a piece of cake for ?” the Little Snake King flicked its tongue.

“You can’t even handle this?”

“Reverse psychology won’t work on .”

“Oh, it won’t, huh?”

Turning her head, she slapped a sharp knife onto the table with a smack, “Does this work?”

Ugh!

Wait, our enmity, cold-blooded ones against you primates, don’t even think for a second it’s over!

The Little Snake King coiled itself up, showing little interest, “Don’t people in your safety zone generally avoid eating them? Why do you care if they’re poisonous or not?”

“I can’t be curious?”

Curious is fine, but look at these mushrooms you threw into the space; those chicken brats opposite you don’t even co close to sniff, you should know they’re no good, why bother with them?” That was the main point it was trying to convey.
