Chapter 288: The Hunt for Lupine
Lupine witnessed the scene unfold before his eyes.
At this mont, he didn’t even know the extent of his anger.
Their behavior had disappointed him deeply.
No backbone at all!
“Hmph! Spineless things! Back on the Sky Dragon, I should’ve wiped you softies out!”
Lupine seethed with anger, wishing he could throttle these people.
“Hey, you too, what are you doing? Still not surrendering? Do you want to die?”
At that mont, another voice rang out.
It was a mber of the Dawn Guard, seeing Lupine still refusing to drop his weapon, threatening once more.
If Lupine didn’t drop his weapon soon, he would shoot.
Clearly, this person was highly aggressive!
However, right at that mont, Lupine’s eyes suddenly turned dangerously cold.
“You want to die? I think you’re the one looking for death!”
In an instant, Lupine moved.
“What… what are you trying to do?!”
The Dawn Guard mber was taken aback and tried to retaliate quickly.
Unfortunately, the difference in strength was too great; he was no match.
Resolved in an instant.
Only then did the others with him raise their guns, but it was too late.
Lupine struck swiftly, his speed unmatched.
Everyone fell victim to his deadly hands!
…
Soon after, Alex received the ssage.
“Alex, bad news! We’ve found Lupine’s trail. He’s killed several Dawn Guard mbers and escaped in a speedboat!”
Alex paused briefly, then smirked coldly.
“Lupine? Let’s see how you escape this ti.”
“Hurry, tell Lupine’s location!”
Upon receiving the answer, Alex imdiately activated his ability [Fly].
In an instant, he soared into the air, heading straight for the target.
“Wow! Alex is flying!”
“Damn, so cool!”
A chorus of amazed voices erupted around them.
Before long, Alex spotted Lupine’s figure.
At this mont, Lupine was in a speedboat, already escaping a considerable distance.
Under normal circumstances, almost no one could catch up to him.
Unfortunately for him, luck was not on his side.
He encountered Alex!
…
“So far, I should be safe, right? They can’t catch up!”
Lupine felt a sense of relief, as if he had narrowly escaped death.
Glancing back, the closest pursuer was just a small dot, soon to vanish from sight.
It seed impossible for them to kill him!
“Damn it! Alex, I’ll rember this grudge! I won’t rest until I’ve avenged it! One day, I’ll make you pay dearly for this!” Lupine gritted his teeth in frustration.
If given the chance, he would personally tear Alex apart and send him to hell.
But then, in the next mont!
A voice echoed, causing him to shudder involuntarily.
“Lupine, die!”
The voice was thunderous, piercing through layers of space to reach his ears.
Upon hearing it, Lupine’s face turned pale.
It was the last voice he wanted to hear.
Lupine turned in horror.
In the sky above, a figure hovered, mocking him with amusent.
“Flying? No, it can’t be! How can anyone fly?!”
Lupine couldn’t believe his eyes.
Soone could fly in this world!
It was beyond belief!
But Lupine had no ti to ponder.
The next mont, his face turned deathly pale.
Because Alex in the sky had moved.
Diving down towards him like an eagle hunting its prey.
“Die!”
“Die!”
“Die!”
Alex’s voice echoed repeatedly in his ears.
In an instant, it echoed multiple tis.
Soon, Alex descended.
Boom!
Amidst a loud roar, a huge splash erupted on the sea’s surface.
Not only that, but the speedboat Lupine was riding disintegrated instantly under the trendous force unleashed during Alex’s landing.
Boom!
The sounds of their confrontation were terrifying.
It was evident how powerful both of them were.
Soon after, everything settled down.
Alex lifted Lupine’s body from the water.
His expression remained as cold and indifferent as ever, tinged with a hint of disappointnt.
“Such a petty opponent, Lupine. He was never a match for . I thought I might find soone worthy of a true challenge, but it seems I expected too much.”
Afterwards, Alex searched Lupine thoroughly.
With Lupine’s death, this incident was nearly concluded.
…
Two hours later, the Dawn Guard cleaned up so survivors from the Sky Dragon who had tried to escape.
By then, the Sky Dragon had completely sunk.
Alex stood in the command room and ordered, “We can head back now.”
Soon after, the Fla Battleship set sail for ho.
Ten hours later, they finally returned to the Dawn.
The sun rose from the sea.
Warm sunlight spread across every corner of the Dawn.
It had been two days since the Fla Battleship returned.
The Dawn had returned to its rare state of calm life.
However, no one knew how long this peaceful life could last!
The Dawn sailed ahead.
The Fla Battleship accompanied it closely on both sides.
With unlimited diesel support, there was no worry about power issues.
A small team of Dawn Guards piloted speedboats, patrolling nearby.
Their operational area covered over ten nautical miles.
Their main objectives were to prevent enemy reconnaissance and search for supply crates.
“You know, it really gets on my nerves when I see people in the chat channels cursing Alex.”
“Yeah, seriously! It’s like they’re all idiots! I almost had a heart attack just reading so of those comnts—or wait, maybe I did have a stroke!”
“Really, so many dumb comnts! They don’t even know the real story and they keep bashing Alex. It’s ridiculous.”
“I always feel like there’s soone behind all this, stirring up trouble, but I have no idea who!”
“Whatever, let’s just ignore them! In the end, strength rules in this world, and Alex couldn’t care less!”
“Yeah, you’re right. As long as they don’t provoke us, let them say what they want. If they dare to lay a hand on us, they shouldn’t expect any rcy!”
Four Dawn Guard mbers chatted idly.
For them, patrolling was both lengthy and boring.
All they could do was chat and gossip.
…
At that mont, Nathan, with the best eyesight among the four, was scanning the surroundings.
Suddenly, his eyes widened.
“Quick, look over there! What’s that?”
Nathan’s voice was filled with excitent.
“What are you looking at?”
“Damn, we were just talking. Why are you so worked up? Did you find sothing?”
“What is it?”
Nathan’s companions turned their heads to where he was pointing.
In the distance, a supply crate was floating on the surface.
“Damn, it’s actually a supply crate! This is a big score!”
Instantly, the four of them were thrilled.
“Quick, quick, let’s inform Alex about this!”
“Yeah, yeah, hurry and report it! Alex specifically instructed us that if we find a supply crate, we must report it imdiately so he can open it.”
Under normal circumstances, they wouldn’t have the authority to do so.
Otherwise, they might face punishnt.
But a supply crate was such an important find that they were allowed to report it directly.
Recently, Alex had gathered everyone on the Dawn and told them that if they found a supply crate, they should report it imdiately for him to handle.
