The next day, I and Tihana were able to go to the goblin woods, and search for so of them, just like quite a number of other people, so the competition was tough, as everybody wanted to get so crystals.

I equipped my fake daughter with a sword, shield, and so sturdy, but comfortable, leather armor, bought from the device. Then we headed out.

With my abilities, searching for the little green fellows, was easier than for other people, so we got to the first group quite fast, and Tihana had a chance to display her skills.

She was better than I expected, handling the enemies very well, despite their advantage of numbers.

- Let's try sothing else now - I proposed after she turned the last one into black smoke, which evaporated.

- What? - she asked, turning back towards .

There was a bit of sweat on her forehead, but she whipped it with the back of her hand. The sa one she was using to hold the sword.

The usual weather in Arc, and the land around the city, was rather warm. An everlasting sumr, and even in the shadows provided by the trees inside the forest, it was still very hot, so even a little bit of physical activity was enough for the sweat to co out.

If not for my resistance to heat, I probably would also be sweaty, just from walking around, but since I had this ability I was still enjoying being dry.

- I want to boost your strength with a skill of mine, and check how it will work on you - I explained, watching her carefully.

Her breathing was heavier than normal, but she regulated it very quickly. Overall, she seed to be handling the fight well and was ready to continue.

The observation made realize that she was growing to beco a very beautiful young woman. The shadows playing on her face, due to the leaves moving because of the wind, only added more charm to her early beauty.

- What skill? - She asked.

- I want to use Blessing of Vitality and Blessing of Power on you. They are quite powerful, so you should be careful, at first. Give yourself so ti to get used to the change - I explained.

- Ok - she agreed. - The more I can kill, the better - she then added.

So I used the skills on her, and then she checked them out. She swung the sword, first in the air, and slowly, but then she went to try it on the closes tree and used the full force. Blade plowed the air with a whistling sound, and smacked into the trunk, then shattered from all the power she put into that attack.

She reacted by covering her face with the shield, so so of the pieces that went her way hit the wood instead of her.

anwhile, I facepald.

- Didn't I tell you to do it slowly, so you can get used to it? - I asked, forcing a smile on my face.

She didn't reply, just laughed.

- With this much strength, I can just use my fists - she then added.

- That's your only option because you smashed your sword, you dumbass - I nagged her.

She shrugged her shoulders.

- It was cheap crap anyway.

- It was a gift. That's what it was. And yes, maybe not the most expensive, but you still should treat it better - I pointed out.

- It was an accident - she pouted.

This reaction made understand that she was embarrassed because of what happened, and tried to hide it under a burst of anger, but the whole thing started to slip out of her grasp, and now she was worried that I might get angry with her.

- Fine, fine. Accident or your recklessness, let's leave it because, in the end, it doesn't matter. Just next ti be more careful, and now... You will have to use your fists - I said, and then waved at her to follow , as I began walking in a random direction.

At the sa ti, I also started scanning the vicinity for more goblins. It took a mont, but I found another group, not too far away, and then started leading us toward them.

Tihana stayed silent, embarrassed - now properly - because of what happened and because of how I scolded her. Like that, we walked for several minutes before I stopped and pointed ahead with my index finger.

- You see them? - I asked her.

She ca closer, stopping right beside , and looked. Further ahead, hiding mostly behind the trees, heavily obscuring the view, was a group of little green creatures, rummaging through the bushes.

- Yes - she confird.

- Then go and fuck them up. What are you waiting for? - I asked, rising my eyebrows.

A nasty grin appeared on her lips. There was no need for any more encouragent. Tihana rushed forward, way faster than she normally could, and leaped into the air, landing high up on a tree. She smashed her fingers into the tree trunk, and for a second held her position, then jumped again landing among the group of nasty midgets. She blasted two straight into smoke, then kicked the third one, breaking his spine and also making him disappear.

The last one was a bit further. So she had to run to the short fellow. The creature was ard with a bow, but before the arrow got released, my fake daughter snapped the weapon in half with just her fingers, then smacked the archer in the head, finishing him off.

I shadow walked to her, to join her quickly. She was already picking up the crystals, which ended up in my vault for the purpose of convenience in our travels.

- Good, let's continue, and when we return, I'm gonna talk with Will about booking the cave for you. With those buffs, you should do the whole thing easily. Well... Maybe I'll help a little with the boss...

- Ok - she said with a big smile on her face.

All happy because, of my words, she continued the hunt under my supervision.
