Yin Hu returned to the pavilion. He secured the entrance by tying small ropes into the holes on the other side to prevent anyone from sneaking in easily. Activated his perception ability. Pulled out his spear and finally focused on making sure no one approached him while he was focused on finding the perfect mutation.
It wasn’t much considering he hadn’t seen lick or hide of any monsters or beasts in the forest, but he was no fool. He had strangers in his camp. While they seed pretty righteous and good, especially that Zhong Da, he couldn’t trust anyone blindly.
The costs were simply too high for anything like that.
Cultivation worlds were designed to create brutal people that would take advantage of any opening, even if they were well aning individuals usually. Being unable to make due in a perfect opportunity was a quick way to die while accomplishing nothing in life. The worst thing that could happen to a cultivator.
Legacy and their nas ringing in the annals of history drove an innurable amount of n and won to do dumb things.
All for recognition and honor.
Yin Hu had no interest in either one currently.
His only interest at this very mont was not fucking up and turning the girls into hideous half human, half animal hybrid creatures. Girls, especially, seed to care more about the way they looked compared to n. He could imagine having a male disciple that would actively choose to have bear arms, even if it made no sense objectively.
Bears didn’t have thumbs after all, but the increase in power and edginess superseded the look and functionality of it.
Alright! Let's do this no more wasting ti!
Yin Hu started with Jun. He approached the girls and prompted the system to provide him the sa ssage he got previously. Going over the sa progress he had finished not even ten minutes ago. Making sure he could get the sa vague feeling he got from the system. The option to reject or accept options would dictate how much he would try to experint.
It took a couple tries until he received the confirmation through a sense rather than a ssage.
Again, the system was still broken.
He was just learning about new functions it had never provided him with.
He brought out a chair from his rice bag and sat on it next to Jun’s bed. He placed said bag on his lap and started to search. He could try to experint as much as he wanted now. Try unfitting combinations that no one in their right mind would attempt.
The first was a bowl of rice and a dozen Superior Mana Stones.
Yin Hu had recognized a long ti ago that his rice was special. It was on a tier all on its own. Especially compared to anything made by anyone in this cultivation world. From the way the girls reacted to it and had to cultivate after every al. Down to how ruined his palate was.
He had a suspicion that the rice had done exactly that sohow. Maybe it had a specific energy? Or was it so saturated with energy that he couldn’t eat anything that was close to its level?
There was no way to really test that even if he wanted to. Which he didn’t.
Better things were available to experint on.
He prompted the system with the two types of items in the bowl. A screen appeared before him unlike the usual way the system showed up. It flashed white and black for a second before it turned into static energy like an old T.V. From the early 2000s. Complete with noise too.
Yin Hu stared for a second. There was nothing he could even get a hint of what was the outco of the combination or whether it was accepted—
Error…
That popped up in red letters on the screen. Both vanished a second later.

Yin Hu stared at the response he had been given with his breath held. Everything could have gone wrong within seconds had the system puttered out and failed him again. If he had ssed up and provided Jun with a mutation that would literally kick her out of the dinsional plane itself, he would not have forgiven himself.
Or would it make her the weakest being on the planet considering there isn’t even an ounce of the necessary mana in the entire world? There was no way to tell, nor did he want to know what would happen. He would leave that bit alone.
He sent both items back into his bag. The rice seed sowhat more applicable than the mana stones, but he wasn’t so sure he liked the title of Vagrant added to anything else. He had a bad impression of what a vagrant was. More importantly, it reminded him of the island too much to let it appear before him all the ti.
Suffering the sight of it so much would drive him mad.
Instead, he pulled out more traditional items in a cultivation world. Yin Hu searched deep within his bag. Further than any ti before this. Going through thousands and thousands of items until he found a few that didn’t seem like they would break the system.
A basic knight's longsword and a shield that seed to fit together. Both seed very strong and could channel qi quite well, but they were nowhere near the Spirit Weapons in terms of sheer brute force. They were the edge of what he would call the mundane.
The highest a normal weapon could go before it ford a spirit of so kind to bolster it beyond what was realistically possible.
He placed the two items together and prompted the system again.

Guardian of the Yin Hu Sect - Tier A
The only one between the three options he liked was the last one. Guardian of the Yin Hu Sect was an A tier. Which he assud ant potential in terms he could clearly understand. There was a massive difference between what he would think an A tier would be compared to a C tier.
More so if the levels grew harder to progress the higher you went.
Yin Hu shook his head. He’d already seen SSS now with the rice. It didn’t feel right to settle for sothing as low as C when other possibilities would provide sothing far greater. He just needed to find the right one.
He wondered if getting sothing applicable to their Spiritual Root Elent would change the tier as well. Would being a wood elent cultivator negatively affect the tier of a Guardian of the Yin Hu Sect? Or would it remain at the A tier? He had no clue what to think.
Caution was his final decision at this point.
There were simply too many unknowns for him to risk anything at all. He couldn’t ask the system for an explanation. No lore background on the classes and mutations. Nothing prompted the system to tell him what elent the mutation would take on. Would it change her roots over all to a new elent or would it keep its original?
If that was the case, then didn’t him giving them their weapons already be a negative? A wood elent sword would lose its effectiveness if her Spiritual Roots suddenly turned into a spirit elent like Shui’s. There had to be so consistency.
Yin Hu looked back into his spacial rice bag.
A thousand uncertainties crossed his mind with every passing second. The longer he thought, the worse his situation beca.
He shook his head.
No point over thinking this opportunity! Let's do our best, then figure out what happens next so ti later. Right now, the goal is only to get the most applicable mutation available and one that doesn’t sound like it will throw her out of the dinsional plane altogether… though I don't actually know what that ans fully.
