"Damn, this turns out to be a story about a guy and his pet!" Fang Jueyu almost teared up. As touched as he was, sothing felt a bit odd. If this Mashimaro nad Eno were a young lady instead, maybe others would find it more relatable.
But Fang Jueyu figured it all out. Eno’s master was indeed this Golden Will. They grew up together, trained together, adventured together, fought together, and went through the destruction of the Root Universe together.
The ice sealing Eno wasn’t just any regular ice. Not even the master of the Golden Will knew where it ca from. Maybe it was sothing left over from an even older universe.
But it perished, leaving only this barely existing will, and after billions of years of slumber, Eno actually awoke again in this Forbidden Land. Facing this unfamiliar world and a long-gone master, it chose to seal itself in this place, waiting for this universe to cycle again or for the end of everything.
"Hey buddy, your bunny broke thousands of my Demigod Puppets, shouldn’t we discuss so kind of compensation?" Fang Jueyu tried to communicate with the Golden Will.
This ti, he really suffered a heavy loss. Thousands of puppets were destroyed, leaving no Divine Core Fragnt behind, and the remaining ones were all depleted of energy, not to ntion several Divine Weapons were shattered. Oh, how heartbroken he was.
If he needed to repair the damaged bodies of those puppets, Fang Jueyu didn’t know how many Cosmic Crystals it would cost. Even for him, the price was a bit too steep.
But for Fang Jueyu’s shaless demand, the Golden Will didn’t even bother to respond.
"Hey, buddy, stop rubbing! Your drool is about to drip onto my face!" With no result in communicating with the Golden Will, Fang Jueyu could only try to interact with Eno.
But Fang Jueyu, being soone from this universe, only had the chance to encounter text from the Root Universe. However, the creature ca from the Root Universe, knowing nothing of this world’s language, let alone Fang Jueyu’s pure Huaxia. It would be miraculous if it understood.
Yet, the little creature tilted its head and rubbed against his neck even more intensely. Compared to its previous Destructive Demon King bearing, it was like two completely different rabbits!
"Buddy, mind if I impersonate your identity for a bit?" Fang Jueyu suddenly got a bright idea. With Mashimaro’s combat form being so powerful, this universe couldn’t possibly find an opponent for it. Most importantly, it required no energy to operate, a natural, pollution-free, and sustainable fighter. If he could ta it, well well well...
There are still two fragnts to find next. Who knows what difficulties might lie ahead, but with Eno by his side, what was there to fear?
"If you don’t say anything, I’ll take that as your consent! I’m only thinking of the life in this universe, wouldn’t you agree? I have no other thoughts, I’ve never thought of using it to show off!"
The Golden Will, whether due to a lack of strength to respond or truly agreeing to his demand, showed no response!
"Hehehe!" Fang Jueyu took out the four fragnts. Not only did Fang Jueyu carry the aura of the Golden Will’s master, but these four fragnts were originally fragnts of its Divine Core, naturally imbued with an even stronger aura.
As soon as Eno sensed that aura, it leapt from Fang Jueyu’s shoulder into his palm.
"Little Yi, help teach it the linguistic knowledge of this civilization." Fang Jueyu instructed.
"Got it." Little Yi naturally knew what Fang Jueyu had in mind and imdiately transmitted the linguistic knowledge of the universe to Eno via an information stream.
"Eno, can you understand what I’m saying?" Fang Jueyu asked the white creature.
Eno blinked its large sapphire eyes and then gave a slight nod.
"That’s promising!" Fang Jueyu rejoiced. Although Eno’s strength was sowhat unbelievable, it seed not very clever, even a bit naive.
"Eno, actually, the you see now is no longer the you once knew." Fang Jueyu tried to make his emotions as sentintal and non-mainstream as possible.
Eno tilted its head, seemingly not quite understanding what Fang Jueyu ant.
"When our universe ended, I failed, so at that mont, I had already died!"
Fang Jueyu clearly felt Eno’s small body tremble, and tears started to uncontrollably flow from its eyes. Who would’ve thought that paw capable of swiping a whole piece of demigod creatures would belong to such a crybaby!
"The current is just a residual will. I chose this young man as my heir, hoping he could accomplish what I haven’t finished," Fang Jueyu bluffed, "We were great partners, weren’t we, Eno?"
The little creature nodded enthusiastically.
"You’ll help , right?"
Eno nodded again.
"Then I hope you can assist him just like when the two of us were together. Can you do that? I don’t want him to get hurt."
At this mont, Eno’s expression turned incredibly serious. It patted its furry chest with its short arms, as if assuring sothing.
"Haha, gotcha!" Fang Jueyu struggled to hold back his laughter, "But I’m still a bit worried..."
"Ee ee ee!" The little creature got anxious, letting out ee ee noises, as if warning Fang Jueyu not to underestimate it.
It seed to have made a decision, biting its own hand with its tiny fangs, letting a drop of golden blood slide through its fur.
A mont later, a purple formation appeared!
"Companion Pact!" Fang Jueyu nearly exclaid. Although not as binding as a Slave Contract, the Companion Pact is quite rare. Once signed, it ans both parties live and die together, not allowing any betrayal!
He quickly bit open his finger and pressed his palm against the formation. With a faint ripple, Fang Jueyu felt a power observing everything from the dark binding him and Eno together.
"Hahaha! I’m invincible now!" Fang Jueyu laughed foolishly like an idiot.
One man’s loss could be another man’s gain. He lost thousands of demigod puppets but gained a companion far stronger than tens of thousands of demigod puppets. This was an incredible profit!
"Do you know where my Divine Core Fragnt is?" Fang Jueyu pressed on, hoping to find the fifth fragnt.
"Ee ee ee!" Mashimaro stuck its hands into its mouth, fumbled a bit, then pulled out a golden object, which was obviously the fifth fragnt!
"What the...!" Fang Jueyu believed that if he didn’t have the aura of the Golden Will himself, even if he were turned to dust, he couldn’t have retrieved the fragnt from Eno’s stomach.
"Golden Fertilizer!" the demigods exclaid in unison. They took the risk of death coming here, all for searching for this item!
As Fang Jueyu grasped the golden fragnt, he felt a mighty power surging into his body. It seed this fragnt carried part of the Golden Will’s power, and it might also be linked to the high concentration of Cosmic Source Power in this Forbidden Land.
Suddenly, Fang Jueyu’s vision turned white and he collapsed.
re monts later, he regained consciousness, "Huh? What happened? What was that just now?"
"Damn, with that acting, if Oscar doesn’t give you an award, it’s just unfair!" Little Yi teased Fang Jueyu for his shaless behavior.
But Eno obviously didn’t know how treacherous the world could be. Even though this person wasn’t its master, he carried the master’s power and mission, and that was enough!
Eno landed on top of Fang Jueyu’s head, lay down, then slowly closed its eyes and fell into a deep, peaceful sleep. It hadn’t slept so calmly and contentedly in a hundred million years...
