"What’s happening?" Fang Jueyu had already resigned himself to dying, even having drafted his last words in his mind, hoping that if anyone could find his remains among the creature’s feces, they could relay his final words back to Earth via Xiao Yi.

He wished for his ashes to be made into the universe’s most expensive fireworks, and then for the grandest fireworks display to commorate his contributions to cosmic civilization, while simultaneously spreading his legendary boast across the cosmos.

Unexpectedly, the claw halted right in front of him!

A thin line of blood appeared across the center of Fang Jueyu’s cheek, and a drop of blood pearl rolled down from his nose. Had the claw moved just a bit further, his head might have burst like a waterlon.

Though perplexed by this bizarre turn of events, he seed to have been spared; the creature appeared to recognize him.

The massive entity sniffed him all over like a cat, and Fang Jueyu could even feel the moist breath from its nostrils.

Yet the breath carried not a trace of stench; despite the creature’s "dark-thed" appearance, its terror seed confined to its external appearance.

"Host, it seems there’s sothing on you that slls familiar to it!" Fang Jueyu had been so preoccupied with how to distribute his legacy that he hadn’t noticed the creature’s strange behavior.

"How could there be sothing familiar to it on ?" Fang Jueyu pondered, not having encountered anyone special recently, besides the Chairman of the Cosmic Refiner Association and the demigods of the Forbidden Land. Clearly, none of them could be connected to this creature.

"Could it be..." Suddenly, Fang Jueyu’s eyes crossed as he focused on the center of his brow. At so point, the Golden Will had awakened, though only dimly, completely unlike his prior cries for help that sank like a stone.

"Hey, man, you really scared !" It wasn’t hard to surmise that the aura from the Golden Will had saved him at the last mont.

"Wait, could it be..." Fang Jueyu’s expression turned exaggerated. As soone who had kept pets, he knew such affectionate behavior typically erged when animals saw their nearest kin, such as their owner.

This Golden Will ca from the most distinctive presence in Wanshen Manor, a being possibly unparalleled and powerful throughout the Root Universe.

And the evidence suggested this monster originated from the far-off Root Lands. Though it survived past the universe’s end by so unknown ans, its identity was unquestionable; only creatures from the Root Universe could wield such unimaginable might.

Could it be that this Golden Will is the creature’s owner or friend?

"Probably so!" Fang Jueyu couldn’t identify any other possibilities. In this universe, no force could suppress the creature; its might likely tops the food chain even in the Root Universe, with this Golden Will’s master possibly the only one able to ta it.

"Long ti no see, Eno!" It was the second ti Fang Jueyu heard the Golden Will speak this distinctly.

"Eno? Is that the creature’s na?" Fang Jueyu wondered.

The creature heard the voice, its ears twitching excitedly, then, like a docile cat, nudged its head against Fang Jueyu’s chest.

"Whoa, buddy, don’t be reckless. You gotta realize how big you are, right?"

Fang Jueyu’s body was smaller than the creature’s nostrils. With a gentle nudge, Fang Jueyu felt his chest cracking, his body flying like a teor; such affection was disastrous for him!

"Cough, cough!" Fang Jueyu quickly mobilized his energy to heal his chest; he was spared a swipe from the creature nad Eno, only to nearly be headbutted to death—an embarrassnt if word got out.

Yet Eno persisted, nudging toward Fang Jueyu’s chest again. Fang Jueyu tried to dodge, but noticed the tear streaks under the creature’s eyes.

"It’s crying!"

For unknown reasons, the sight deeply moved Fang Jueyu, leaving him unwilling to avert his gaze, allowing the creature to press against his chest.

"Well, alright, brother, my pecs are yours today!" Fang Jueyu gritted his teeth, enduring the creature’s onslaught.

After being hit dozens of tis, Fang Jueyu felt his bones nearly shattered, and at this mont, Eno finally cald down, its eyes fixed on Fang Jueyu as if fearing he might disappear at any mont.

"What’s going on?" The demigods from the Forbidden Land were dumbstruck; It was ferocious one mont, craving blood, only to transform into a cat begging its owner for food—this wasn’t how the story was written!

"Don’t worship ; I’m just a living legend!" Fang Jueyu waved at them. "I’ve told you, I’m one of the finest Beast Tars of the Divine Civilization—No creature goes untad before ; do you believe now? Cough, cough, I’m in pain."

"Has the Divine Civilization’s Beast Taming Technique truly reached such heights?" The demigods exchanged glances.

It made no sense; typically, animals are beaten near death to ta them, but Fang Jueyu was the one nearly beaten dead, perhaps this was the legendary "directionality taming a celestial being"?

As if realizing its mistake, Eno emitted a soft wl like a ragdoll cat, retracting all the dark aura surrounding it and shrinking rapidly.

Soon, a chubby Mashimaro reappeared, flying to Fang Jueyu’s shoulder, adorably nuzzling his ear.

"Hey, buddy, what’s going on?" Fang Jueyu struggled to communicate with the Will. It was aware but lacked the strength to speak. It could only project part of its mory directly into Fang Jueyu’s mind.

In the Golden Will’s mories, Fang Jueyu witnessed Wansheng Villa at its peak. In its training room, a teenager appeared to be practicing martial arts, beside whom rolled a chubby white rabbit like a ball. The teenager occasionally glanced at it with stark affection.

Years passed, and the youth matured. Eno accompanied him across the universe. When danger lood, it transford to fight alongside him.

...

The Root Universe reached the end of its lifespan. Attempting to salvage the world, the man, now weary of life and ho’s ruin, resolutely chose to abandon everything to make one final push.

Eno bit his clothes, unwilling for him to attempt what seed futile. They could escape to another galaxy, staying together for hundreds, even thousands of years before the Root Universe collapsed.

But it couldn’t prevent him; he took his most precious artifact, known as the ice stone, sealed it and tossed it into the universe’s end.

It followed; the stars shattered, the universe ended, and now nearly 14 billion years have passed!
