524: Chapter 235: Malice in the Cafeteria Area 524: Chapter 235: Malice in the Cafeteria Area In 2023 on May 9th at 6:43, at the lamppost near “Cafeteria-001,” Lin Yi’s strides slowly solidified.

He shifted his gaze slowly away from Tian Bufan, looking down at his own arm.

He seed to see a very thin layer of mist floating on his hand.

This mist, like an invisible veil, covered his body, a presence that had gathered around him as soon as he entered the cafeteria area.

This phenonon made him seem like a rock suddenly appearing in a creek.

The creek water t him, raised a wave, and then split around him, flowing past and then gathering again…

This lasted for a few seconds before returning to normal, and the floating mist also dispersed, like smoke blown into one’s face.

Yet Lin Yi did not relax at all—instead, he furrowed his brows, sensing sothing was very wrong.

After “adapting” to the atmosphere here, Lin Yi had a déjà vu feeling of entering a painting and an illusion of looking at a mountain that was not a mountain, feeling like he and his environnt were totally out of sync.

He felt he could perceive an invisible malice, yet could not pinpoint its source.

It was as though the entire cafeteria area was filled with malice at that mont, urging him to leave.

He almost yielded to this malice and took a step back, but seeing Tian Bufan and Wei Shan slowly straighten their backs, he too clenched his teeth and stood upright.

anwhile, Wei Liang, utterly unaware, had already walked several steps ahead.

Realizing no one was following, a chill ran down his spine.

Turning around, he found that, besides himself, none of the others had moved at all, which scared him out of his wits.

“Damn, what’s going on with you guys?”

He took a step back, moving so swiftly it seed like an afterimage, like Asura Flash Space, and he was instantly back by their side.

“Shit, are you guys ssing with ?

What’s going on, were you frozen in place?

Why isn’t anyone moving?”

Wei Liang was so agitated that he hopped on one foot, pacing around them.

“It’s nearly seven o’clock now, in an hour, we’ll have to settle for snacks from the Convenience Store if we don’t hurry up!”

Tian Bufan slowly ca back to himself, glanced at Wei Liang, and agreed, “Wei Liang is right…”

“Yeah, let’s go, let’s go eat breakfast, nothing’s more important than a full belly!” Wei Liang urged hastily.

But Tian Bufan continued, “I an, we’ll need to swing by the Convenience Store for so snacks…”

Lin Yi also nodded, agreeing, “First eat breakfast, then stock up on so items.”

“You guys…” Wei Liang looked at them strangely, waving his hand in front of them, “…are you bewitched?

It’s breakfast, man, not the Convenience Store.

Can you focus on the actual point, damn it?”

Seeing an unperturbed Wei Liang, who was totally oblivious, Lin Yi tentatively asked, “Do you feel it, Liangzi?”

“Of course I do, only a fool wouldn’t!” Wei Liang said exasperatedly, patting his stomach, “I feel like my stomach is cursing for neglecting it now that I’ve found so ‘spiritual’ food…”

“And speaking of which, I think I can even hear your stomach growling…

Ah, hey, what’s with that look?

Besides feeling a bit hungry, am I supposed to feel sothing else too?”

Wei Liang was utterly speechless, “Are you suggesting I should feel so murderous aura or sothing?”

“It’s not exactly ‘murderous aura’, but the entire cafeteria area seems to be enveloped in a kind of…

malice,” Lin Yi said gravely, “I feel like I’ve entered a Wind Tunnel, with endless malice blowing out from the depths, trying to push out.”

“Crikey, you’re not catching a cold, are you?

Let see if you have a fever.

I told you not to open the windows so early in the morning!

See, this is—”

While mumbling, Wei Liang reached out to touch Lin Yi’s forehead, but his tone was clearly mocking, sounding more like, “Let see if you have gotten heated up.”

“It’s nothing…” He waved his hand off.

Tian Bufan said aningfully, “Since Wei Liang says it’s nothing, let’s go have breakfast.”

“What do you an I said it’s nothing!” Wei Liang jumped up, “Don’t you guys feel anything?”

“Since that’s the case, there’s nothing to worry about, let’s go,” Tian Bufan stretched his arms and smiled.

“Tsk…

why be so spooky so early in the morning…” Wei Liang grumbled, pouting, “Are they really all geniuses?

Well, I wouldn’t complain if Tian Bufan was a genius, but Old Lin is nowhere near that league…”

“Liangzi, what are you muttering about?” Lin Yi asked.

“Ah!

I was saying, you must be so kind of genius,” Wei Liang said nonchalantly.

“Kuai Kuai, you and Wei Liang go together,” Tian Bufan instructed, “I’ll walk in the middle with Old Lin, Wei Sang, as usual.”

“Alright, alright, whatever you say,” Wei Liang pouted, withdrew his gaze, and carelessly led the way with Kuai Hongji, while Wei Shan traditionally brought up the rear.

The group thus slowly headed towards the cafeteria.

“Young Master Tian, do you feel that…

that malice?” Lin Yi whispered to Tian Bufan.

Tian Bufan narrowed his eyes, “Malice?”

“You didn’t feel it?” Lin Yi asked, a bit surprised, “Wei Sang, you?”

Wei Shan shook his head, puzzled.

“If you didn’t feel it, why was your reaction just now so intense?” Lin Yi asked, confused.
