Volu 3: High School Arc - Mirror Ga
Gave a big middle finger!
As my body fell downward, I flipped mid-air.
While falling, I suddenly extended my hand.
The Evil Spirit Form of my right hand instantly detached from my body, and its sharp five fingers clutched the wall tightly!!
‘Screeeech!!!’
Accompanied by a harsh scraping sound, the five fingers dug deeply into the wall, holding my body in place.
At that mont... I even felt a friction between my soul form and physical body.
It felt as if... my soul couldn't fully hold onto my body.
A very strange sensation.
That broken window didn’t have the strange head sticking out anymore.
After I jumped out, the glass of that window rapidly began restoring.
By the ti I landed, the glass had almost completely repaired itself.
The mont I used the claw of my Evil Spirit Form to grab the wall, the glass already looked untouched.
“Whew...”
I let out a long breath.
It seed the monster inside the room couldn't affect the outside of the room.
“But...”
I looked down at the endlessly stretching row of windows, then raised my head to see the sa endless row of windows above.
“What is this place?”
Mirror World—was it truly a world like its na suggested?
These endlessly extending windows, each one identical to the last.
No visible difference at all.
“It really is... so silent...”
Below was an infinite abyss.
Above was also boundless darkness.
Hanging on the wall, I was now completely dumbfounded, unsure which direction to go.
Left and right were both endless flat surfaces.
It felt... as if this outer wall had infinite width and length.
I hesitated slightly and looked at those windows.
Though I didn’t know what lay inside them, at least I understood—what was inside definitely wouldn’t be as quiet as it appeared on the outside.
Identical windows, identical walls—what’s inside might be different, or might not.
No matter which window I chose... it was basically a gamble.
Was this also part of the ga?
Relying on luck?
I had to admit, at this stage, no matter how smart I was, it was useless.
This Mirror World really did rely more on luck than on logic.
“Relying on luck huh... I’ve never been particularly lucky.”
Obviously.
If I were lucky, would I have been dragged into this ga?
If I were lucky, would I have been killed off right at the start, used as the first sacrificial lamb?
If I were lucky, I wouldn’t have fallen into this Mirror World either.
Now I probably understood—this so-called Mirror World was in a state of direct opposition to the Surface World.
Everything existed in contrast, aning both worlds were perfectly balanced on a scale.
Today, because of the APP, one of the monsters in this world had been forcibly dragged out of the Mirror World, breaking the balance between the Surface World and Mirror World.
And when one entity was pulled out, another had to be pulled in.
Perhaps this was how the world maintained balance?
There were still too many mysteries the APP left behind.
For now, I’d suppress those questions and figure out where to go first.
Up, down, left, right—all directions extended infinitely outward.
But there were no windows on the left or right, only above and below.
That ant I could either choose the window above, the one below, or return to that room just now.
These three options... left a bit hesitant.
Because I didn’t know what was in the windows above or below.
But at least I had so familiarity with that butcher-like monster.
I had a little bit of understanding.
The unknown... was always terrifying.
But now, it was obvious that I had already pissed off that butcher.
If I went back, I’d probably be torn to shreds instantly.
The Evil Spirit Form couldn’t harm the monsters in the Mirror World.
This severely limited , almost completely stripping away my ability to fight back.
However, I had a rough idea why.
Even though I didn’t know the exact relationship between the Inner World and the Mirror World, both seed to rely on the Surface World to exist.
These two worlds appeared connected, yet weren’t truly related.
So, as a monster from the Inner World, I couldn’t inflict damage on the monsters of the Mirror World.
Only in the Surface World... could the monsters from both worlds physically interact.
The Surface World... seed to serve as a bridge between the worlds.
As for , my soul belonged to the Inner World, while my body belonged to the Surface World.
In the Mirror World, I could do nothing.
You could say they were based on the sa foundation but branched off in different directions.
“What should I do next?”
I looked up, looked down, glanced left, glanced right—scanned all around.
Right now, I didn’t have many options.
It looked like there were plenty of windows, but realistically I couldn’t climb forever.
I could already feel the dizziness from my cold flooding into my head.
“I really won’t make it twenty-four hours. At most, two or three more. If I don’t get out soon, I won’t have the strength to escape anymore.”
I raised my wrist and glanced at the watch.
It had already been more than twenty minutes since I entered the Mirror World.
I’d wasted quite a bit of ti waiting in that room while that guy cooked.
I hesitated, then hesitated again.
I thought and rethought it, gritted my teeth, clenched my fists.
F*ck it... if I die, I die!
I activated the Evil Spirit Form on both hands.
My physical hands drooped weakly at my sides, while my body began to move along with the arms of the Evil Spirit Form.
The windows here were arranged like a normal apartnt—one above another vertically, but no horizontal alignnt, so I didn’t need to worry about left or right.
I hadn’t fallen too far either, so I went straight to the second level below the one I’d just left.
I clung to the window.
I had hesitated only a minute or two, but even after making my decision, I still felt so reluctance.
However, just as I was hesitating, a strange sound suddenly ca from above.
‘Click-click-click-click.’
The noise resembled plastic or bones gently knocking together, dense and rhythmic, reaching my ears.
The outer wall had been completely silent, surrounded by darkness.
The longer you stayed, the more it instilled fear.
And the mont that sound appeared, the silence was shattered.
A wave of intense terror surged from deep inside , making instinctively look up.
“What... the f*ck!!!”
As I followed the sound and looked upward, I suddenly saw a... grayish-white thing!!
What was that?
An arm made of seven or eight joints, crawling like a spider across the wall.
That monster was now facing , its face pale and bloodless, like it had been plastered with a layer of white flour!
