Riven’s father looked up after helping the boy, only to see the loads and loads of bodies lying on the ground. He looked around for his sons and saw both of them knocked out but safely in the hands of Lady Emily. He heaved a sigh of relief, but then a wave of anger and regret hit him.

He was here, happy at the fact that his family was alive, while his n were dead. Their families would never see them again, their children, their husbands, their wives, yet he was happy that his family was safe.

He felt disgusted at his actions. He clawed the ground, his fingers digging deep, but then he felt a hand on his shoulder. He slowly looked up, his eyes glassy with tears of regret.

He saw his brother and sister standing there. Eric looked at him, his gaze soft and warm. "It isn’t your fault, brother. What happened here is uncontrollable. We could have never stopped what just happened."

"But what happens next is up to you," Elaine said. She pointed at the demonized. "They are coming. Father and his friends are holding off that person that ca, so we have to defeat the demonized," she said.

"We have to fight for the sake of our ho, brother. Until the kingdom cos, we will hold off the demonized and that demon that has showed up. So I need you to show the sa resolve you showed back when we were kids, and fight," Aric said before taking out a silver sword that was covered in engravings and handed it to Riven’s father.

He looked at the longsword; he imdiately recognized it. "This... this is Mother’s sword," he said.

"Yes, it has been with for years. She asked that I keep it, not to use, but for her last son, her favorite, and that I should give it to you the day I believe you had beco a man," Eric said. He smiled. "And today, you beca a man, because you put away your pain for others. You cried for others, and now you’ll fight for others."

Riven’s father looked at the sword. He gritted his teeth and grabbed it, his expression returning to the cold, calculated man he was—the sa man that Riven had t in this world. He rose to his feet and took a step forward.

"Let’s take down these vermin," he spat. Fire imdiately erupted on his hand. He might not be the strongest, but he was a Four-Circle Battle Mage, he had his own feats of greatness.

He looked behind him and saw the rcenaries behind him. He raised his sword and pointed it forward before letting out a loud roar and running.

For his family, for the town, for himself, to finally beco a true leader and not one by na. Eric and Elaine ran behind him.

A demonized leaped at him. Without hesitation, he slashed; his flaming sword cut through the demonized. Its blood colored the battlefield.

At the other side of the battle, Drunkard stood facing a demon. He staggered from left to right. The demon looked at him, a confused look on his face. He tilted his head, trying to understand why a drunk man would be here against him.

"I do not know why you are here, but count yourself unlucky," he said and pointed his finger at Drunkard. A red ball of light ford at the tip of his finger.

It fired like a bullet. He expected it to take out Drunkard, but to his surprise, Drunkard dodged the attack and lunged forward. He swung his body like it was made out of plastic, and his eyes didn’t stay straight.

He moved very fast, covering the distance in only a mont. The demon was shocked. He threw a punch, but Drunkard dodged it with grace and sent a counter, slamming into the rib of the demon.

It felt like he had punched tal, but despite that, he gritted his teeth and added pressure, pushing harder until he sent the demon back a few feet.

The demon was shocked. Drunkard had punched his body, and his hands didn’t shatter; rather, he was pushed back.

"Who are you, human?" the demon asked. Dark walked from behind and started speaking.

"He is the great martial artist from an unknown island that made this kingdom his ho. A prodigy whose body is a national treasure."

"Oh, you praise too much, Dark. But then again, he isn’t lying. I’m special, and to celebrate that, I always drink," Drunkard said and rushed in again.

The demon frowned. This ti he blocked the attack from Drunkard and kicked him in the chest. Yet sohow, Drunkard managed to spin around the leg and send a kick right into the head of the demon.

Dark charged in from the back as well. He stretched out his hands, and a massive tal spike ford and burned with red flas. He hurled it at full speed; it slamd into the demon and dug deep into his body.

The demon frowned and grabbed the spike. He squeezed it hard and shattered it. He looked up and saw Dark standing ready to fight. The aura around Dark had changed.

Olivet walked out as well, and he felt a change in their aura. They emitted more strength.

"So you were holding back? Hahahahaha! Humans are pathetic. Did you really think you could stand against if you were holding back?

Fine, I’ll show you all sothing then," the demon said. The marks on his body glowed, and his demonic energy surged. It took a physical form and then hugged his body like a suit. It was close to his skin and incredibly tough.

He took one step, and the ground beneath him sank in. He shot forward, leaving a huge crater on the ground. He moved toward Dark.

He punched. Dark blocked with his sword. Boooooom! The force of the punch and the collision with the sword caused a shockwave that shook the forest. Dark was pushed back a few feet, but he managed to block the attack.
