"What trouble can we find ourselves in here without Timothy getting too angry with us?" Aurora asked. She did not want to ruin Timothy’s ho after everything he was doing for Regina.
"Oh please. Like he would get angry with us when he is trying so hard to make like him even more. We can do whatever we want as long as no one is killed. Do you rember the ti I put a bowl of flour over my door as an alarm for when soone entered and it fell on my mother’s head?"
Aurora rembered it quite clearly because Regina got scolded for hanging around her. It was mostly Regina’s plans but Rachel would place the bla onto Aurora. However, she did think it was worth it to see the woman covered with flour when she was a child. "I rember how much trouble I got into because of it but it was still funny," she replied.
"Right," Regina replied, no longer finding it funny as she recalled how Aurora would get in trouble and hardly rat her out as the one who did the prank. "I feel there is so much I have to look back on and apologize to you for. I got you in trouble so many tis but you would always take my mother screaming in your ears without care. Suddenly, getting in trouble does not feel like fun. Be honest with . Was there ever a ti you hated ?"
Aurora was thrown off by the sudden direction their conversation was going but she was glad it was brought up. She would never want Regina to think she had any ill feelings toward her ever. "No," Aurora honestly replied. "There were tis when I was jealous of the love and gifts you received from your parents but I did not hate you. If you’re thinking about being punished because of you, please stop."
"That is better said than done. It wasn’t just Minnie that made your life hell. My mother tried many tis to punish you for things I did. She would belittle you and if Minnie was not present she would try to starve you. She did all of that because she knew n would prefer you over . I have to apologize-"
"No you don’t," Aurora disagreed with Regina. "You are not to bla for the way your mother treated ."
"I should have behaved better and stopped getting in trouble so you would not be blad. I was so angry with my mother mostly caring for Samuel that I would keep ssing with her and it cost you. I wish I could go back in ti and tell my younger self about all of this," Regina sighed.
"I think you would have passed out if an older-looking you showed up before you. Trust , it’s a weird experience," said Aurora.
Regina could not have disagreed with Aurora on that one. "I’m surprised I was able to handle seeing Esralda. I guess learning that I am a witch ntally prepared to deal with a lot of out-of-world stuff."
"There is nothing we can change about the past and there are too many good things in the present that need to remain as they are. I truly do not need you to feel sorry for getting in trouble. Life would have been boring for if you were obedient. You would have started to listen to your mother and not visit ."
"Impossible," Regina shook her head. Aurora was the only person to understand her so Regina would not have stopped visiting her. "Maybe I would have pretended to not be your friend in the day but at night, I would have visited you. Let’s sit down here," she pointed at a bench.
Aurora and Regina sat down on the bench to look out at Timothy’s property.
"Are you sure you will be happy with not around? Without everyone else not around?" Aurora asked.
"Right now I can wholeheartedly say yes. Timothy and I are getting along well so I know I will be happy with him. Once my family’s death has stopped being the topic of conversations, I will be fine."
"As soone who lived here once before I know it won’t be long before another scandal shocks the kingdom and attention is taken off of you. Do not make what is being said force you to hide away. Regina ugh," Aurora paused as she did not know what to call Regina yet as she had detached herself from being called a Hamilton and she was not yet married to Timothy.
"Just Regina is fine until I get married. Just like I do with you," Regina stated since Aurora had no last na. "It feels cool to just go by Regina like I am a mystery behind . You’ve been holding out on , Aurora."
"My bad. I never thought having no last na would ever interest you. Now that we have gotten all of the mushy stuff out of the way, I have the perfect prank we can do on none other than the two n we are going to marry. Do you think they would enjoy it if we told them that you and I would be going on a sister trip without them?" Aurora shared her brilliant idea.
"Certainly not. Timothy thinks I have not noticed but I have caught onto his guards and servants walking around keeping an eye on where I am. Hi!" Regina waved at the guard who passed her more than he needed to. "This is the fifth ti he has walked by us like he is lost. If you’re going to watch soone as smart as I am, you need to look less suspicious than that. I can’t wait to see the two of them pissed off. How should we do this?"
Regina rubbed her hands like an evil mastermind. She had started to like Timothy but that did not an she could not ss with him like in the good old days.
"Like this," Aurora detailed every piece of the plan to Regina.
