Aurora dragged her feet back to her room feeling like she had been living with strangers this entire ti. She lived with her family for twenty going on twenty-one soon enough and believed she knew everything about them. Not once had she heard about the field where they were growing the wolf’s bane. She never even knew the strange plant was poisonous.

They were doing everything in their power to keep the wolf out but he was already in her mind. Aurora went to where the wolf was in her dreams as he said she had answered his calls. Thinking logically, why did her body answer the calls of the wolf as if it was familiar to the call? How did she even get herself there?

Aurora wanted to talk to the wolf right now but the only solution was to hurt herself so he could feel it. She picked up the pace back to her room ignoring the confused looks from the workers she passed by. Aurora entered her bedroom and closed the door imdiately locking it. She looked around for anything she could use to harm herself to grab the wolf’s attention.

"This better work," she muttered, spying a needle poking out of wool on her table. She started the hobby as many did many other young won but she was not fond of it. At least it ca in handy now.

Aurora placed her hand on the table and pointed the needle. She had to do it quickly so she wouldn’t second guess herself and opt out of doing this.

"Twenty, nineteen..." she started a countdown in her head but before she reached nine Aurora pressed the needle into her hand and welcod the slight pain. She gasped and opened her eyes as she removed the needle watching a tiny drop of blood pour out. "Hello? Are you there now?" Aurora called out now that her body was hurt.

However, she didn’t get the response she was looking for. "Please don’t tell I have to try sothing harder. Please, please answer ."

There was still no answer. Aurora sighed and squeezed the sa spot she had stabbed with a needle causing more blood to flow out. "Are you there now? Please," she wept at the idea of having to herself even more.

She really wanted to speak with him right now so she had to put up with the pain. She emptied the contents of a vase and placed her hand in position. Rather than counting down again, Aurora just went for it.

She groaned in pain feeling the cented vase connect with her hand. "Ugh," she picked up her shaking hand to soothe out the pain.

"Why are you hurting again?" Finally ca the voice of the wolf.

Aurora got what she wanted but had to deal with the pain in her hand first. "Please...tell there is a better way to contact you when I wish to speak with you?"

"Did you intentionally hurt your hand to speak with ? I’m torn between sad and happy."

"Is there a way?" She questioned taking a seat at the edge of the bed looking at her hand turning red.

"There is. You can knock on my door like a normal person but then again you’re not normal."

Aurora pinched the bridge of her nose feeling as though she was dealing with a child. Her hand was in too much pain to deal with him beating around the bush and making jokes. "How am I not normal? I feel normal."

"How do you feel normal, Aurora? Since you finally answered , have you not felt like yourself?"

"No. You have confused about my life. Does the wolf’s bane at our ho have sothing to do with you? Have you t Minnie before for her to want to keep you out?" Aurora questioned then looked down after her hand felt tingly. It wasn’t hurting as much as before.

"The old witch still keeps those damn plants around? I should shove that potion down her throat."

"Please don’t say that kind of thing about my grandmother," Aurora said out loud. She wished she could speak to him in her mind just like he did. She might seem crazy talking out loud if anyone were to eavesdrop on her.

"Grandmother? So grandmother you think you have there. But I apologize for my foul language, I should slash her throat with my claws when I see her."

’That wasn’t any better than what you said before,’ Aurora thought. Her shoulders slumped not knowing how to process this war the wolf had with Minnie. "Must you only have violence on your mind?" She asked.

"I have saving you from there on my mind. Refrain from hurting your precious hands. That old hag thinks that flower will stop but I go wherever I please."

"If you think that I need saving and can go wherever you please, why didn’t you just co to get ?" Aurora wondered out loud. What was holding him back?

"I gain nothing by taking soone who isn’t ready to rember . Now that you answered my call, you are slowly getting ready to wake up."

’Wake up?’ She thought to herself. She was already wide awake. There were just too many things she didn’t know and too many things those around her did know. Her brain was overloaded with information and trying to comprehend all of it.

"Who are you and what is your history with my family?" She asked the burning question.

"The better question would be who are you Aurora? I know you’ve already figured it out you and I will et at the harvest moon festival. I will answer any questions you have face to face. Do not hurt those pretty fingers anymore."

"Just tell who you are. Hello! Not again," she mumbled knowing he had left again. "Who am I?" She asked herself looking down at her bruised hand which had stopped hurting.

Aurora watched in silence as the bruise slowly started to fade away as if she had never hurt her hand in the first place. This was just like when her wound from the wolf had healed by itself.

"Who am I?" She asked herself again.
