Chapter 808: Chapter 405: Cutting Off Funds

David smiled, and with an insouciant air, counterquestioned, “Why do you think the offshoring bill passed the Senate and House of Representatives, or do you believe you are smarter than those legislators?”

This made Mo Ang feel as if he had been struck by lightning, freezing him in place.

On the surface, David seed to be discussing the offshoring tax bill and the legislators, but what he actually ant was to make it clear to him that if even you can’t be protected by , then why would those lawmakers in the Congress willingly vote in support of the bill?

Are they fools?

“Alright, I’m willing to cooperate!”

After careful consideration, Mo Ang made his choice, and in the ti that followed, he divulged detailed information about his foundation.

“Alright, you can go back now, and send a copy of these docunts.”

Mo Ang didn’t dawdle any further and left.

Shortly after he left, the previous Deputy Director walked in and asked, “How did it go, Inspector David, with that Manager Mo Ang?”

Wall Street was his jurisdiction, so he was certainly aware of what Mo Ang did.

At first, when he heard that David wanted to et Mo Ang, he was quite startled, since foundations are protected by various laws and are truly tough nuts to crack.

But having seen Mo Ang’s departure, which seed quite deflated, it inevitably aroused his curiosity.

Could it be that Inspector David had managed to crack even such a tough nut as the foundation?

“Quite alright, and oh, Deputy Director Nehem, as usual, could you please help contact Wall Street’s ‘Dobby Janov’ to co here?”

Deputy Director Nehem was taken aback upon hearing this.

He obviously knew who Dobby Janov was, a manager at another foundation on Wall Street.

But that wasn’t the key point. The key was that this particular individual managed a foundation that belonged to the core of the Freemasonry Group, the Rockefeller Family’s foundation.

Inspector David had just talked with Mo Ang, and now he was likely preparing to target the foundation managed by the Rockefeller family?

“Any problem, Director Nehem?”

“No… none, I’ll notify him right now!”

Nehem dared not ask any further and turned away to handle it.

About an hour later, Nehem walked in with a middle-aged man in a suit.

Like Mo Ang before him, since he had not been notified in advance, the sight of David made this manager nad Dobby Janov jump.

But thinking of the unassailable system of foundations, he soon settled down.

“Alright, you can start, I’m still busy…”

After bringing him in, Nehem tactfully left and closed the door.

“Mr. Dobby Janov, do you know why you were asked to co here?”

“Please clarify, Inspector David.”

“…”

In the following ti, David almost used the sa thod on Dobby Janov as he had with Mo Ang.

When Dobby Janov heard how many details of his foundation had been disclosed, already sweating profusely, he gritted his teeth and asked, “If I agree, can you guarantee my safety?”

“That is certain.”

“Okay!”

Dobby Janov could only agree, then he also revealed more detailed information about the foundation he managed.

Another half an hour passed.

The office door was opened, and Dobby Janov walked out looking deflated, and the waiting Nehem’s face once again showed a hint of shock.

First Mo Ang, and now Dobby Janov, the top manager of the Rockefeller family on Wall Street.

Both of Wall Street’s top managers seed to have been deflated.

Could it be, David truly managed to tackle these two major foundations?

Nehem had been a bit skeptical earlier, but now seeing two managers with such deflated deanors, he couldn’t help but think it was so.

“Deputy Director Nehem!”

Just as he was pondering, David walked out of the office, and Nehem had to put his thoughts aside and responded, “What is it, Inspector David.”

“I need you to invite soone else here.”

“Who?”

“Cronin Ansel.”

“Cronin Ansel!”

Nehem was shocked once again.

Because Cronin Ansel wasn’t just anybody; he was a core mber of the Freemasonry Group, the manager of the Zart family’s foundation on Wall Street!

Nehem put aside his thoughts, led David back into the office, and cautiously asked, “Inspector David, although it’s presumptuous, I must ask, what are you exactly doing with these people?”

He knew David was up to sothing extraordinary, and David hadn’t elaborated much, apparently because it wasn’t convenient to reveal too much.

But Wall Street was ultimately under his jurisdiction, and not just the Freemasonry people, almost 90 percent of Arica’s rich kept their foundations there.

If anything went wrong, it would be a national sensation.

So although he knew it seed inconvenient to reveal what David was doing, Nehem couldn’t help but press on.

“It’s nothing much, just a tax investigation.”

“Tax investigation?”

In Nehem’s eyes, skepticism lood.

He had heard rumors that The Big Three Groups were vigorously orchestrating the midterm elections to regain control of Congress.

At this critical juncture, the most imperative thing for David should also be the midterm elections, so why co to Wall Street to investigate the tax issues of foundations?
