611. Annihilation—!!!
Unknown Universe.

Unregistered Location—
A deafening explosion shattered the eerie silence of the world, where the chaos of war had beco the only prevailing the.
Blasts and tremors overturned what was once a peaceful and beautiful city. Amidst the ruins, countless tallic fragnts of destroyed robots lay scattered, mingling with pools of blood and piles of corpses, decorating the cracked earth with carnage.
Above, the sky churned with ominous black clouds, swirling dust and sand through the air, carrying the thick stench of blood far into the distance.
Inside a fortress far from the battlefield, a resolute man stood before a control console, his sharp eyes scanning across multiple large screens.
Behind him, nurous soldiers clad in specialized combat suits sat at their stations. So analyzed battlefield data, while others coordinated the positions of various units.
The clicking of keyboards filled the air—a stark contrast to the roaring battle outside. The only other sounds ca from quiet conversations between operators.
The man at the console wore a grim expression. Beads of sweat covered his forehead, betraying his tension and pressure. His clenched fists trembled slightly against the table. His furrowed brows resembled a storm cloud, his expression solemn as he held his breath, seemingly waiting for sothing. Suddenly, a violent explosion rocked the entire fortress.
Dust trickled down from the ceiling, and several screens flickered with static.
The man reacted instantly, gripping the table to steady himself before snapping his head toward the soldiers behind him.
"Status report!"
The mont he spoke, a soldier stood up, steadying himself against his console.
"Commander, Codena: Sunfire attacked our command post and detonated his atomic energy under extre conditions. No casualties reported. The Guardian Squad is cleaning up the battlefield."
His tone was calm, as if the explosion had never happened. The other soldiers remained just as composed—clearly, they were all accustod to such situations.
At that mont, another soldier sprang to his feet, shouting excitedly.
"Commander, Codena: Magneto shows no vital signs. Sentinel-327 is completing the final extermination. The Tiger Shark Strike Team has entered the battlefield from the left flank!"
His words seed to trigger a chain reaction.
More soldiers stood up in quick succession.
"Commander, Codena: X-23 shows no vital signs. The Spirit Fox Squad is recovering her body remains."
"Commander, Codena: Shadowcat and her pet, Codena: Lockheed, show no vital signs. Krakoa Safehouse has been breached by Sentinel-14."
"Commander, the Las Vegas battlefield is under our control. Codena: Gambit and an unidentified mutant are missing. Sentinel-136 is tracking them now."
"Commander, Codena: Mystique shows no vital signs. The Sundew Squad is exterminating another target, Codena: Pixie—expected to be finished soon."
"Commander, Codena: Armor attempted to cross the Pacific but was shot down by Sentinel-741. No vital signs detected. Sentinel-741 is retrieving the remains."
As the reports continued, the man's tense posture gradually eased.
Turning away from the screens, he let out a silent breath of relief. His clenched fists finally relaxed slightly. But just as his body loosened, a sharp voice shattered his mont of respite.
"Commander! The Atlantis Carrier Fleet is requesting a direct link!" a soldier urgently reported.
"Patch them through," the man responded without hesitation.
A mont later, a crackling electromagnetic noise filled the fortress as a new image flickered onto the main screen—a bloodied soldier appeared.
"R-Report… Commander!"
The soldier gasped for breath. Seeing that the connection had been established, he quickly stepped aside, revealing a massive water tank behind him.
Judging by the surroundings, the feed was coming from inside the carrier. On a large platform sat a two-ter-tall transparent tank.
"Codena: Namor's body has been retrieved. The Poseidon Carrier is in position. Awaiting confirmation—should we proceed with the destruction of the Atlantis barrier?"
The commander raised his head, his gaze locking onto the screen.
Inside the tank, a severed corpse floated lifelessly. Though the image was sowhat distorted, he could clearly see the bizarre flesh-fins attached to the feet of the remains.
Without hesitation, the man grabbed his communicator and brought it to his lips.
"Execute K086-Directive Four. Imdiately!"
"Yes, sir!"
The soldier on the screen straightened.
But at that mont, an intense white light erupted behind him.
The glare was so blinding that it engulfed the entire screen in pure white, swallowing the soldier's silhouette. The sheer brightness even caused the transmission signal to distort.
A second later, the connection was abruptly cut.
The screen went black.
The commander froze, staring in shock at the blank display, unable to react for several seconds.
After about twenty seconds, he finally snapped back to reality and shouted into the communicator.
"Hello?! What just happened?!"
"Report your status!"
"Poseidon Carrier, respond!"
"Hello?!"
—anwhile, thousands of miles away.
Inside the Poseidon Carrier Fleet's command center.
A blinding aurora flashed through the room as a black figure suddenly materialized out of nowhere.
The figure appeared out of thin air and, upon arrival, imdiately crashed into a chair, producing a sharp, jarring noise.
"Fuck! I banged my funny bone!"
Alex clutched his right elbow, his face twisting in pain.
Whether it was sheer bad luck or a cruel coincidence, the instant the Watcher had sent him into this world, Alex had arrived in his most vulnerable state—only to smack his arm against the back of a chair.
The excruciating sensation was beyond words.
Fortunately, there was no one else around, preventing this embarrassing mont from being witnessed.
With a sharp wave of his arm, energy surged through his body, instantly numbing the pain away. But before he could fully recover, an urgent alarm blared through the control room.
[ALERT: MUTANT ENTITY DETECTED—WARNING! WARNING!]
[—MUTANT ENTITY DETECTED—]
[WARNING! WARNING!—]
"The hell…?"
Alex raised an eyebrow, his expression turning curious as he glanced at the flashing alarm lights.
Alex quickly scanned his surroundings and realized that the Watcher hadn't sent him to so inconspicuous place—he had landed directly in what looked like a military base.
Damn. Did I just drop into so top-secret headquarters?
Raising his hand, Alex clenched his fist in midair, instantly crushing the blaring alarm's indicator light from a distance. At the sa ti, he started taking in the environnt around him.
He was standing in a massive, empty hall, roughly the size of a basketball arena. Apart from a wall lined with screens, the floor was littered with various computers—though all of them were currently blacked out.
Shifting his gaze, Alex's eyes quickly landed on a massive water tank.
It was hard to miss sothing that big.
Taking a few steps forward, Alex narrowed his eyes to see what was inside, and as soon as he got a clear look, his expression changed sharply.
"Namor the Sub-Mariner?"
As if anticipating that an outsider might not recognize him, an identification plaque was affixed to the bottom of the tank.
Alex quickly stepped closer, his gaze locking onto Namor's cold, lifeless corpse. His expression turned grim.
Rummaging through the desk beside the tank, he soon found an incomplete operation report.
(Operation Report)
- Codena: Namor. Landed in 2047. Under reconnaissance drone surveillance.
- Tracking devices extracted from captured Atlanteans used to determine Atlantis' exact location.
- Operation codena confird. Poseidon-class aircraft carrier deployed.
- Sentinel Squad N57 executing extermination mission.
- Codena: Namor has no vital signs. Retrieval in progress.
Alex's brow furrowed as his mind raced.
Tossing the report back onto the desk, his sharp eyes scanned the room.
Soon, his gaze locked onto a golden trident. At first, he had overlooked it because it was secured within a massive tal containnt box.
"These humans are sothing else, huh?"
Alex extended his hand, and the trident instantly broke free from its containnt, soaring into his grasp.
He wasn't surprised that Namor had been killed. After all, Namor was just an extraordinary being with a formidable physique. He was powerful, but against enough firepower and a coordinated assault, he could still be taken down.
But what truly shocked Alex was that these people hadn't just killed Namor—they had mobilized an entire aircraft carrier fleet and were heading straight for Atlantis.
This wasn't just a targeted elimination. This was full-scale war. And from what little he had gathered in the report, it was an extermination campaign.
What the hell did the Atlanteans do in this world?
Did they clash with human nations? Or maybe they unleashed a massive tidal wave that wiped out so coastal cities?
Otherwise, things wouldn't have escalated to this level.
And…
Alex's eyes sharpened as he scanned the empty hall once more.
"…Where is everyone?"
