610. Unknown Danger.

TRN, strictly speaking, is not an officially designated multiverse number.

Due to the sheer number of universes, and the fact that many of them are fragile and prone to self-destruction, only a few select universes are given official designations. The rest remain unnumbered.

These unnumbered universes are essentially in their infancy, existing as offshoots of the main tiline. Each branch represents a "possibility" or a "modification" of reality.

Most of these realities are artificially created. Their fate is one of two outcos: they either overwrite the main tiline and beco the established history, or they self-destruct, serving as fuel for the primary tiline's continuity.

In a way, it's like "turning to dust to nourish new life."

Since these budding tilines are rarely nad officially, Marvel Wiki took it upon itself to categorize them under the "TRN" label.

In other words, TRN refers to multiversal designations that exist temporarily—caught between becoming an established history or vanishing into oblivion.

In Alex's understanding, most of these temporary designations originated from alternate tilines caused by heroes altering history.

One of the most representative examples is the X-n film series. From X-n 1, 2, 3 to The Wolverine, Days of Future Past, and even officially licensed ga storylines—all of them significantly impacted the main tiline.

Among them, the Days of Future Past tiline completely rewrote history, causing the new tiline to replace the old one and beco the setting for subsequent stories.

However, that doesn't an this main tiline only has a single branch. Polaris' The Gifted universe and Professor X's son's Legion universe are also offshoots of the main tiline.

Unlike Deadpool's and Logan's universes, which have their own unique numbers, these fragile universes are always on the brink of destruction—so have even disappeared without anyone noticing.

Realizing this, Alex understood the aning behind the Watcher's words. "So the universe you found is currently in the process of being replaced by other tilines, right?"

"That's not entirely accurate."

The Watcher shook his head slightly, murmuring in a calm tone.

"In truth, that world's main tiline is nearing its end. As it approaches destruction, the surrounding tiline branches are beginning to fight over its remnants. A multiversal conflict is about to break out."

"A multiversal conflict? Are you planning to step in and stop it?" Alex suddenly smacked his forehead. "Oh, right. I forgot your internal problems."

The Watcher spoke matter-of-factly.

"Even if we weren't compromised, this wouldn't be sothing we'd intervene in. While it involves multiple tilines, it's still just a battle between a handful of realities—it poses no real threat to the greater multiverse."

The Watchers have seen countless multiversal events. While the collapse of this particular tiline was dramatic, it was still just a singular tiline unraveling. Unless it threatened the integrity of other main tilines, they had no reason to interfere.

"I see." Alex nodded thoughtfully.

Noticing his expression change, the Watcher couldn't help but ask, "You're not planning to go there yourself, are you?"

Alex chuckled. "What do you think? Didn't we already agree on this? There must be clues about the corruption in these universes—I have to go."

"That may be true…"

The Watcher sighed in frustration before looking back up.

"But I must warn you, these tilines aren't as simple as you think. A collapsing tiline is unpredictable—one misstep could lead to unforeseen dangers."

"Oh, co on. Since when have I ever had an easy journey?" Alex scoffed.

Ever since his arrival, every universe he encountered had been in so state of collapse. He had finally found Marvel's main movie universe, only for Loki to keep him from getting too close. Who was he supposed to complain to?

However, the Watcher frowned slightly, his tone turning serious.

"The danger I'm referring to isn't just that."

Alex's smirk faded. "What do you an?" He focused intently on the Watcher's massive head.

The Watcher didn't answer imdiately—he simply nodded slightly, signaling that Alex had already grasped his point. After a brief pause, he continued.

"Although we can't pinpoint the locations of the Dark Watchers right now, we have reason to believe that the traitors are hiding within collapsing tilines. If you insist on exploring these decaying universes, you're very likely to encounter them."

"The Dark... Watchers?"

Alex's expression darkened.

He had faced Darkseid before. He had even confronted the Trigon and Galactus. But he had never gone up against an Watcher before.

Despite knowing two Watchers personally and maintaining a decent relationship with them, he had never considered facing one in combat. The lack of prior experience made him uneasy.

"Of course, that's just a possibility. The multiverse is vast—you may or may not run into them. Don't feel too pressured."

Sensing Alex's grim expression, the Watcher quickly tried to reassure him.

But Alex didn't take the words too seriously. If it was ant to happen, it would happen. Better to be ntally prepared than caught off guard.

After a brief pause, Alex asked in a deep voice, "So this ti, I won't need to use another universe as a stepping stone, right?"

"No need. I can use my power to create a passage directly linking you to the multiverse. But I can't guarantee exactly where you'll end up, since several tilines are currently entangled together."

"That's fine, don't worry about it."

Alex understood that if multiple tilines were woven together like tangled ropes, then long-distance teleportation would naturally be unstable.

But that wasn't a major issue for him. Once he arrived, with Miss Minutes' help, he would definitely be able to break through the tiline barriers.

Still, looking at the Watcher's current state, Alex couldn't help but feel concerned. "Are you sure you're in any condition to handle this kind of power? Can you even get there?"

"Don't underestimate an Watcher."

The Watcher suddenly stood up, puffing out his chest with determination.

"I may be injured, but crossing the multiverse is still child's play for . Otherwise, how do you think I got here so quickly?"

"So you're just really good at running away, huh?" Alex rolled his eyes.

Hearing that, the Watcher was montarily speechless. He stared at Alex with his giant glowing eyes, pointing at him in frustration, but was unable to co up with a retort.

With a heavy sigh, the Watcher gave up on arguing further and slowly spoke.

"I'll say it again—you must be careful. In collapsing tilines, the beings inside are extrely deranged. You must not trust anyone."

"Don't worry, I've already had my fair share of experience."

Hearing this, Alex imdiately recalled the ruthless inhabitants of the Ruins Universe and the Wasteland Universe. Shaking his head, he shrugged.

"Madness isn't a problem, as long as I can communicate with them. In a way, those who are completely insane can sotis be useful pawns."

"Don't underestimate them. Pawns can sotis turn on their player. Especially in those broken tilines, where combat power has reached absurd levels—they won't even give you a chance to communicate."

"No chance to communicate, huh…"

Alex sighed, spreading his hands.

"…Well, that's fine. If words don't work, I do happen to know a thing or two about fighting."

The Watcher stared at Alex for a long mont before shaking his head helplessly.

"In any case, I still hope you'll be cautious—especially when dealing with those who lurk in the shadows.

Rember, trust no one. And I an no one, including the Watchers. Once you leave the Wasteland, any being you encounter could be your enemy."

Seeing the Watcher's solemn expression, Alex fully understood how dire the situation was.

"Got it. You be careful too. With wounds that bad, don't let soone pluck out your eyeballs."

He glanced at the Watcher's injured state before adding, "Why don't you stay in the House of Mystery for now? Reed Richards and Susan will take care of you. At least heal up before doing anything else."

The Watcher thought for a mont, then accepted Alex's offer.

"That might be best. The Wasteland Universe is currently undergoing a magical resurgence. With my eyes, I can be of so help to them—certainly more efficient than that so-called 'Franklin Radar.'"

"Uh… you saw that, huh…" Alex rubbed his temples with a wry smile.

"Of course I did. The mont I arrived, I saw you tying up a newborn multiversal god to a chair."

The Watcher's voice carried a hint of exasperation as he muttered to himself.

"Well, at least with you watching over things, I can be at ease."

Alex stood up, brushing off imaginary dust from his clothes before casually saying,

"No ti to waste—send over."

"Right now?"

The Watcher seed montarily stunned, as if he hadn't expected Alex to be so direct.

"Shouldn't you prepare a little more? The dangers you'll face are unknown, and they might not be easy to handle."

"That's exactly why preparing is pointless. No matter how much I plan, I can't account for the unknown. It's better to adapt as I go."

Alex smirked.

"Now hurry up and do it. If I get there too late, those universes might really be gone for good."
