538. The Tragedy of Sabbac!

Sabbac never expected to be suddenly attacked.

Or rather, all of his attention was focused on the demonic fire accumulating in his chest, and he couldn't imagine anything would be able to intervene in the battlefield at this mont.

By the ti he realized sothing was rapidly approaching him, it was already too late.

A terrifying burst of energy exploded in mid-air, and without any arc, as if through teleportation, Sabbac instantly disappeared from his original position.

Then, a thunderous explosion erupted from the ground, kicking up massive dust clouds like ocean waves.

At this mont, everyone was stunned. Every person on the battlefield turned their attention to the strange figure in the sky.

Looking from a distance at the now fully rged Seven Deadly Sins, Doctor Fate's eyes widened beneath his helt. Sensing their demonic power, which surpassed even Sabbac, he instinctively thought of opening a portal to escape with Hawkman.

Just as he knew the information about Sabbac, he also knew that the original sin demons, born from the DC universe, were among his enemies. However, he never expected to encounter two world-destroying demons here.

"What... is going on?" Hawkman muttered to himself.

"He is the Seven Deadly Sins, the purest primordial demon. This is impossible! They were sealed and defeated in ancient tis, how could they appear here?" Doctor Fate was even more confused.

The most critical thing was that Doctor Fate hadn't seen this mont in his foresight. This ant the future had been completely altered, and so greater power was distorting reality.

The power of this entity clearly exceeded that of Nabu, the god.

In mid-air, seeing his demonic enemy being punched away by soone more demonic in appearance, Black Adam furrowed his brows, confused about the intentions of this sudden arrival.

But he didn't act imdiately; instead, he stood vigilant, eyeing the Seven Deadly Sins in the distance, wary that they might suddenly change targets and begin a massacre.

What no one expected, however, was that the Seven Deadly Sins didn't even glance at anyone else. Six of its eyes stared intently at where Sabbac had fallen.

Through the spreading smoke, a faint glow suddenly appeared.

Then, a fiery dragon-like fla tore through the dust, rushing toward the Seven Deadly Sins.

The source of the fire was Sabbac, below, who had gathered energy and unleashed it. His pentagram glowed with blinding light, and destructive flas surged forth.

The Seven Deadly Sins, upon seeing this, made no attempt to dodge. Its stomach suddenly opened a massive blood-filled mouth and charged directly into the oncoming flas.

At the mont the flas were about to strike the Seven Deadly Sins, they suddenly beca 'docile.' As though the space itself was collapsing, the high-temperature flas rapidly contracted and were entirely devoured by the large mouth on the demon's stomach.

Seeing this, Sabbac was clearly shocked. Before he could react, the Seven Deadly Sins lunged at him with even greater speed.

A punch slamd Sabbac to the ground. As if unsatisfied, the Seven Deadly Sins lifted its right foot and stomped heavily toward his head.

Suddenly twisting its head, the foot of the Seven Deadly Sins narrowly missed Sabbac's head, but the imnse power imdiately caused the ground to collapse into a deep crater.

Feeling the cold shiver of death brush past him, Sabbac was filled with dread. He struggled to get up, but suddenly, several sticky tendrils wrapped around his neck.

His attempt to escape clearly enraged the Seven Deadly Sins. After binding him with its left arm, which had transford into octopus-like tentacles, the Seven Deadly Sins raised its right fist and smashed it into Sabbac's face!

Boom!

A trendous sonic boom erupted, and the shockwave swept through, toppling the already ruined buildings in the area.

In the air, Doctor Fate, Hawkman, and Black Adam stared at the scene in stunned silence, feeling parched.

"Kent, you said the Seven Deadly Sins are demons, right?" Hawkman asked dryly.

"100% pure demons," Doctor Fate nodded slightly.

"Then how do you explain this situation? Since they're all demons, they should cooperate to conquer the world, right? Why does it seem like the Seven Deadly Sins are facing an old enemy?" Hawkman turned to look at him.

Hearing Hawkman's question, Doctor Fate was montarily speechless. He didn't understand it either. After a long silence, he could only force out an answer.

"Maybe the Seven Deadly Sins and the six demon lords don't get along privately?"

"This doesn't look like just a disagreent. It looks more like a mortal enemy," Black Adam joined the conversation, cracking his knuckles. "Stop standing there, let's go."

"No."

Hearing this, Doctor Fate quickly stopped Black Adam, who was eager to take action.

"Right now, they're fighting fiercely. It's best if we don't intervene. Let them settle things first. If we make a move, we might provoke a counterattack from the Seven Deadly Sins. I can't predict whether they will help us or side with Sabbac."

Before he could finish speaking, the battlefield on the ground changed again.

A massive explosion rang out, followed by a blur shooting out from the smoke and dust, flying across a kiloter in the air, smashing through nurous buildings.

Then, under the influence of gravity, it made contact with the ground, and the imnse inertia caused the figure to bounce several tis, leaving a long trail on the ground before crashing into a statue of Kahndaq.

When the dust settled, everyone finally saw the identity of the figure—it was Sabbac.

Spitting out a mouthful of blood, the intense heat imdiately left scorch marks on the ground. Sabbac, completely dazed, had no idea what had just happened.

He had gained unparalleled power, he had been able to suppress the superheroes, so why had soone more demonic than himself suddenly appeared?

Suddenly looking up, Sabbac saw that the Seven Deadly Sins had already appeared before him.

"Wait—"

Sabbac was about to speak, but before he could, a massive fist the size of a water barrel struck him, knocking the words from his mouth.

A thunderous crash echoed, and the enormous statue split open, with Sabbac crashing straight through the base of the statue, flying backward like a kite with a broken string.

The Seven Deadly Sins unfurled its wings and swiftly caught up to Sabbac's flying body. Using both hands, it intercepted Sabbac mid-air from above.

Another heavy blow landed, the imnse force striking Sabbac's chest, halting his flight. The ground for hundreds of ters around them collapsed into cracks.

"Aargh!"

Sabbac let out a hoarse scream, his teeth flying out with the force of the impact. This ti, he could no longer get back up.

Staring at the Seven Deadly Sins, which now lood above him, blocking most of the sky, Sabbac opened his mouth, spitting out molten blood.

"W-why..."

The Seven Deadly Sins remained expressionless, gazing down at Sabbac as though it were an emotionless machine, cold and indifferent.

"I... am a demon too."

Sabbac's words did not cause any stir. The Seven Deadly Sins, as though following a predetermined task, reached down and grabbed Sabbac's face.

Sensing the terrifying power, Sabbac, despite struggling to resist, had been on the defensive the entire ti and had no chance to counterattack.

The pitch-black demonic aura emanated from the Seven Deadly Sins, and the hand gripping Sabbac's head suddenly exerted a pulling force, draining the demonic energy from Sabbac's body.

Sabbac imdiately felt weak as the energy was drawn from him. His heart sank, and he realized what was happening. He finally understood why this demon was attacking him.

It was after the demonic energy within him!

At this thought, Sabbac hurriedly spoke.

"Sabbac... uh..."

A flicker of surprise flashed in the Seven Deadly Sins' eyes. It imdiately tightened its grip, covering Sabbac's mouth, preventing him from speaking a single word.

On the desert plains outside the city, Alex smirked slightly.

"Interesting."

"What's going on? What happened?" Seeing Alex's reaction, Barry Allen quickly asked curiously.

"It's nothing. It's just that this Ishmael is quite clever, but he doesn't understand that against power, such small tricks are useless."

Alex smiled. He hadn't expected Ishmael to try and make Sabbac return to his human form in order to stop him from absorbing the demon's power.

Unfortunately, just like Shazam's weakness, the solution to disrupting the other's sche is simple: prevent them from speaking the spell.

Sabbac struggled with all his might, but he was firmly pinned to the ground, helplessly feeling the energy drain from his body.

As the demonic energy was forcibly taken, Sabbac's form rapidly shrank, eventually turning back into Ishmael's human appearance.

"No, give it back to , give back my power!"

Ishmael's eyes were filled with madness, but with his current human body, he couldn't possibly move the Seven Deadly Sins. His struggle was as useless as that of an ant.

"That sounds familiar." Alex, a thousand miles away, sneered. Recently, a lot of people had said the sa thing to him.

After saying this, Alex remotely recalled the Seven Deadly Sins and, at the sa ti, the original source of Sabbac's Hellfire demon power.

"Is it over?" Seeing Alex's aura suddenly intensify, Barry Allen couldn't help but ask.

"Ah, it's over."

Alex stretched lazily, the bones in his body cracking as he smiled and said,

"Get in touch with the Justice Society and Bruce. We'll need their help with the reconstruction of Kahndaq and with Black Adam joining the Justice Society."
