Chapter 1669: Chapter 621: Never Try to Make an Enemy of Mr. Donnie Block

In the interrogation room of the Flint City Security Departnt!

This was the second ti Hor Martin felt ti passing so slowly.

The first ti was when he was notified that he had to resign from his position as Deputy Minister of Labor as a political sacrifice.

That day felt so long, Hor Martin never forgot the feeling of that day.

When he walked out of the Labor Departnt building, Hor Martin swore to God that he would never put his fate in the hands of others again.

So he joined the Automobile Union and beca its chairman.

Hor Martin saw this as his fresh start.

But in just two years, he felt this way once more.

But this ti, Hor Martin didn’t think he would lose.

Because he believed he had grasped the core of political struggle!

And that was the vote!

As the chairman of the Automobile Union, with its mbers in the tens of thousands, he was also an important figure in the CIO.

Now, tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands, were supporting him.

He couldn’t possibly lose!

He just needed to quietly wait here, drinking coffee, although it was of poor quality, it didn’t matter, waiting for Kate Farmor to politely co and release him.

He even thought about how he should wave to his people when he walked out of the Security Departnt.

But the inexplicable anxiety couldn’t be shaken off.

Just then, Kate Farmor walked in with a cup of coffee.

Seeing Kate Farmor, Hor Martin suppressed his anxiety, wearing a confident smile.

“Director Farmor, I will wave to my union mbers with the cup of coffee in your hand later!”

Kate Farmor glanced at the coffee in her hand and shook her head with a smile.

“Mr. Martin, I think you misunderstood, this coffee is mine!”

Hor Martin showed a slight displeasure: “Director Farmor, that’s not a funny joke, alright, I know my people are waiting for outside the Security Departnt, you can send out now!”

Kate Farmor shook her head again: “Mr. Martin, you misunderstood again, there are no people outside waiting for you, I’ve co to inform you that those strikers have obediently returned to their posts, and the workers outside of Flint City are on their way back to their cities!”

The smile on Hor Martin’s face gradually disappeared, replaced by disbelief.

“This isn’t possible, you still want to deceive at this ti?”

Hor Martin roared this sentence out.

Kate Farmor leaned back in her chair, smiling.

“Actually, I also thought it was unlikely, so many people’s protest, I never thought they couldn’t even last a morning.

So I’ve co to ask you to clear my doubts, how did you gather them in the first place, did you give them every one of them money?”

Of course, giving money was impossible, if Hor Martin had that much, he might not have considered re-entering politics, perhaps he’d buy an estate and live a comfortable retirent.

“This is impossible, they couldn’t abandon their King!”

Hor Martin couldn’t believe Kate Farmor’s words no matter what.

Kate Farmor said easily: “Mr. Martin, you know I wouldn’t deceive you in such matters.

It doesn’t make sense!”

“Why?” Hor Martin suddenly asked: “Did General Motors agree to their demands?”

The only thing Hor Martin could think of now was that General Motors consented to those automotive workers’ demands, and then those treacherous workers abandoned their king who led them to victory after receiving the benefits they wanted.

Kate Farmor shook his head, “I’ll just tell you what happened, or you won’t be able to answer my question!”

Kate Farmor then told Hor Martin everything about John Lewis leaving Flint City early that morning and what happened at the protest scene.

Hor Martin was stunned after hearing it all.

He couldn’t understand it!

“How much did John Lewis accept from General Motors? How could he leave?

And Hamilton, what was in his mind?”

Kate Farmor shook his head, “I can’t answer your question, but I can tell you, Mr. Martin, this ti you lost.

And you lost very thoroughly, next you will face a lawsuit from General Motors, and perhaps you will beco the second high official, after Albert Furr, to be imprisoned from the forr federal governnt!”

Albert Furr, the Interior Minister during the Harding era, was imprisoned due to the Teapot Do oil field scandal!

Hor Martin couldn’t accept this reality.

He couldn’t understand how he lost.

“It’s impossible!”

Kate Farmor shook his head and laughed, “There’s nothing impossible, Mr. Martin, haven’t you figured it out by now?

Your opponent has never been General Motors, but Mr. Donnie Block!

Never attempt to oppose Mr. Donnie Block.

Haven’t you heard this saying, Mr. Martin?”

Never attempt to oppose Donnie Block!

Of course, Hor Martin had heard this saying, but…

When he assud the position of chairman of the Automobile Union and had tens of thousands of nationals, he beca arrogant, thinking even Donnie Block was just so!
