He actually wants to attack Donnie Block and John Block.
It turns out, in yer Lansky’s heart, he has made multiple considerations.
First, of course, he hopes to withdraw deposits from Breton Bank through these people, then force Donnie to submit and agree to join their smuggling business.
Second, if Donnie disagrees, they will resort to violent ans.
So after yer Lansky discussed with those people, they ca to the following conclusion.
Organize two groups of daredevils.
The first group of daredevils will go out to sea by boat and search for John Block’s whereabouts.
Then take out John Block!
The second group of daredevils will disguise themselves as gamblers and head to Atlantic City to find an opportunity to take out Donnie Block!
The enormous profits brought by the smuggling business are enough to make yer Lansky and others take risks.
Moreover, they are inherently entities walking on the dark side of the world, preferring to use violent ans to solve problems.
yer Lansky sat on his sofa and asked Charlie Luciano: "Charlie, do you think Donnie Block will bow down to us?"
Although accustod to using violent ans to solve problems, yer Lansky still hopes to resolve issues with Donnie peacefully.
After all, Donnie Block’s deterrence is too great!
Charlie Luciano shouted: "It will definitely succeed, sir, your plan has never failed!"
yer Lansky chuckled and said, "I hope so!"
At this ti, there were noises outside.
yer Lansky thought it was the newly recruited retired veterans making a ruckus.
Impatiently, he told Charlie Luciano: "Go out and make those people keep quiet."
"Yes!"
Charlie Luciano turned to leave, and at that mont, the door to yer Lansky’s office was pushed open.
Three n in trench coats and hats walked in, followed by yer Lansky’s subordinates.
These subordinates stared maliciously at the three n.
yer Lansky also looked at those three n as if they were dead n walking.
"Do you know where you are?"
The leader, with a smile on his face, said: "Of course, in yer Lansky’s office, the head of New York’s biggest Mafia organization!"
"Since you know, you still dare to break in like this!"
yer Lansky snorted coldly and said, "Take them out and break their legs, then ask who they belong to!"
His subordinates were about to act!
"I’m Jeff Trell, an investigator from NYC IRS branch, and I’m here with orders to take Mr. Lansky back for investigation.
By the way, we already have evidence of your tax evasion, and if your n dare to violently resist, it won’t be just us coming for you!"
After Jeff Trell ntioned he was from the NYC IRS branch, yer Lansky’s n dared not move.
These subordinates swore that if it were the NYPD coming today, they would protect their boss.
But now it’s the IRS!
They dared not move!
yer Lansky’s heart sank at this point, as he had already guessed who sent these people.
"Are you Donnie Block’s people?"
Although questioning, his assured tone indicated yer Lansky had no doubt about this matter.
Jeff Trell laughed: "We are IRS, not Venus Bank employees."
"I will go with you, but until my lawyer arrives, I won’t say anything!" yer Lansky said with a grim face.
He never expected Donnie Block would use the IRS against him; doesn’t Donnie Block worry that he’ll reveal everything once he’s with the IRS?
"Of course!" Jeff Trell said with a smile: "That’s your right!"
yer Lansky told Charlie Luciano: "Call my lawyer, I want him to get to the NYC IRS HQ as soon as possible!"
Charlie Luciano nodded and said: "Don’t worry, sir!"
yer Lansky said nothing more and left his office with Jeff Trell.
A scornful smile on his face.
Jeff Trell showed no reaction to yer Lansky’s attitude.
NYC IRS branch, inside the interrogation room!
yer Lansky sat there, opposite him was Jeff Trell, who brought him here.
Since entering this room, Jeff Trell hadn’t asked yer Lansky any questions.
Although yer Lansky had said earlier to Jeff Trell that he wouldn’t say anything until his lawyer arrived.
But the silence made yer Lansky uncomfortable.
"Doesn’t Donnie Block have sothing for you to tell ?"
Jeff Trell shook his head and said: "I’ve already told you, I’m an IRS investigator, not Venus Bank staff!"
yer Lansky didn’t believe Jeff Trell and continued talking to himself: "I don’t know why Donnie did this, but he should understand, what he’s done isn’t clean.
Things have reached this stage, I can still pretend nothing happened, but if it goes on, I can assure, if sothing happens to .
I will definitely expose everything Donnie Block has done!"
"Of course, that’s your right!"
Jeff Trell remained indifferent.
yer Lansky really disliked Jeff Trell’s attitude.
But he had no choice.
Just then, yer Lansky’s lawyer walked in.
"Johnny, tell him I can leave now!"
yer Lansky confidently said to his lawyer Johnny.
Johnny looked embarrassed, walked over to yer Lansky, and whispered.
"Mr. Lansky, pleading guilty is your best outco now!"
"What?"
yer Lansky looked at Johnny incredulously, "I pay you so much yearly, only for you to tell to plead guilty now?"
Johnny could only continue explaining: "Sir, I’ve just seen the IRS’s evidence, and their evidence chain is complete!"
yer Lansky shouted: "I don’t care about their complete evidence chain, they don’t have a witness!"
At this point, Jeff Trell suddenly laughed: "Oh right, Mr. Lansky, I forgot to tell you, just after we brought you in here, your most trusted subordinate, Charlie Luciano has decided to turn state’s evidence!"
yer Lansky’s face completely fell.
He knew all this was Donnie’s doing, he just didn’t expect Charlie Luciano would betray him!
Don’t panic!
Stay calm!
He still had a final card!
Thinking of this, yer Lansky shouted: "I want to speak with Donnie Block, he’s definitely here, tell him, if he really wants a scorched earth strategy, I will expose everything about him!"
The interrogation room door opened.
yer Lansky eagerly looked at the entrance, hoping it was Donnie Block walking in.
To yer Lansky’s disappointnt, it wasn’t Donnie Block, but Eric Liribeiro!
Seeing Eric Liribeiro, Jeff Trell stood up, his previous indifferent expression replaced with a respectful one.
"Director!"
"I want to talk to Donnie Block, not you!" yer Lansky shouted.
"Enough!" Eric Liribeiro sat down in Jeff Trell’s seat, looked at yer Lansky impatiently.
"Do you really think you’re soone important? That Donnie Block would personally co to see you?"
Seeing yer Lansky’s furious expression, Eric Liribeiro continued: "Or do you think there’s still a chance for you to see soone outside?
Don’t expect to make any fearless argunts in court.
Even with your lawyer here, I can clearly tell you, you won’t be going to court!
