Chapter 1456: Chapter 514: I’m Coming!

George Marshall laughed heartily: “I’ve always said, yer, you are the most responsible among us, and now I must say it again!”

The others chid in supportively.

Mayer Kaufman smiled as he mingled with them.

Soon, everyone from their organization had arrived!

Mayer Kaufman’s patience was wearing thin, as they had just been discussing how to better keep the U.S. Army firmly in their grasp.

“George, everyone’s here, let’s go to your study. Which battle are we discussing today?”

The others had no objections to Mayer Kaufman’s suggestion, as they all agreed on the importance of having their own abilities.

So, they all stood up, preparing to head to George Marshall’s study.

Just then, George Marshall stood up with a smile and stopped them.

“Everyone, hold on!”

They all looked at George Marshall with puzzled expressions.

George Marshall took a letter from his jacket pocket, looked at everyone, and smiled: “Ever since the last signing, I’ve always thought we were united as one, with our interests tightly intertwined.

But today I realized that so people aren’t truly willing to stand with us, they want to destroy us, to use our bones as stepping stones for their promotion. So today, I want to ask everyone, what should we do with such a person?”

George Marshall’s words caused everyone’s expressions to change dramatically, including Mayer Kaufman.

The difference was, the others were indignant, while Mayer Kaufman was worried!

“George, what do you an by this? Trying to sow discord among us? Everyone signed, how could they do such a thing?”

Mayer Kaufman shouted loudly.

The others also looked at George Marshall with so confusion.

George Marshall looked at Mayer Kaufman and smiled: “yer, don’t be in a hurry. Today’s gathering was organized by , so I am the one who most wishes for us to develop as we planned.

If there weren’t a traitor among us, would I be saying this?”

George Marshall’s words cald everyone down because he was right. This organization was ford by George Marshall, and it’s possible that anyone here could betray the group, except for George Marshall!

“George, just tell us, which bastard wants to betray us?”

Ridgway asked loudly.

George Marshall turned his gaze to Mayer Kaufman, asking him sternly: “Mayer Kaufman, why don’t you explain to everyone what made you want to betray us?”

George Marshall’s question drew everyone’s attention to Mayer Kaufman.

Faced with their questioning looks, Mayer Kaufman didn’t try to deny anything, instead revealing anger on his face: “Betray you all?

Ha, why don’t you say you are betraying the U.S. Army’s interests yourselves?

Every ti I see your faces, I feel nauseated, and now you have the nerve to say this to ?”

Ridgway and the others were shocked; Mayer Kaufman had indeed betrayed them!

George Marshall said: “So you wrote such a letter to Cordell Hull, intending to betray us at so point!”

If earlier, Ridgway and the others were rely angry with Mayer Kaufman, now they were filled with the urge to kill him and fear.

If Mayer Kaufman truly wrote about their situation, it would beco the greatest stain on them if exposed!

Their career would be over!

In fact, Mayer Kaufman knew it was from Cordell Hull as soon as he saw the letter in George Marshall’s hand.

Facing the murderous looks from Ridgway and the others, he felt no fear but instead responded calmly.

“I didn’t expect you to know Cordell Hull, but what of it?

I’ve already written to General MacArthur about your deeds, you parasites leeching off the U.S. Army’s interests are dood to fail!”

After speaking, Mayer Kaufman laughed loudly, believing George Marshall wouldn’t dare kill him, given MacArthur stood behind him.

Mayer Kaufman’s laughter, to Ridgway and others, was chilling; they hadn’t foreseen MacArthur learning about their actions.

Did it an their future was dood?

Just like a roller coaster, their hearts sank instantly.

For a mont, the only sound in the room was Mayer Kaufman’s laughter.

However, his laughter ceased abruptly as George Marshall took out a second letter!

Ridgway and the others looked puzzled.

“So, is this the letter you’re talking about?”

George Marshall tossed the two letters in front of Mayer Kaufman, who hurriedly picked them up.

“This… this is impossible, this is impossible!”

Mayer Kaufman appeared frantic, looking at George Marshall with fear, his earlier arrogance gone.

“Why, why is this letter also in your hands?”

George Marshall didn’t answer Mayer Kaufman’s question but looked at the visibly relieved Ridgway and others.

Seeing Mayer Kaufman’s expression, Ridgway and the others realized their situation hadn’t been exposed; they didn’t know why.

“Everyone, betrayal is the least acceptable thing to , and it’s also unacceptable to Mr. Donnie Block.

So, next, we’ll perform a ceremony for dealing with traitors!”

Do they have a ceremony for dealing with traitors?

Ridgway and the others revealed curious expressions. At that mont, Courtney Hodges, who had remained silent, suddenly drew a dagger from his waist.

Before anyone could react, he stabbed Mayer Kaufman, who was still in disbelief!

The sudden pain made Mayer Kaufman look at Courtney Hodges in disbelief. Seeing Hodges’ cold eyes, he realized what happened and tried to flee.

Bam!

George Marshall had already reached Mayer Kaufman from behind and kicked him down. Taking the dagger from Hodges, he bent down and stabbed yer Kaufman in the back.

George Marshall stood up while Mayer Kaufman struggled to crawl out of the room.

Blood dripped from the dagger in George Marshall’s hand, but he smiled, looking around at everyone, asking: “Who’s next?”

This was an oath of allegiance!

Ridgway and the others realized it.

Amidst their hesitant glances, Ridgway suddenly stepped forward, “I will!”

He took the dagger from George Marshall.

Then followed the others, facing a choice that left no room for refusal.

“!”

“!”

“!”

.

Donnie soon learned of this event, smiled, and said, “It seems we no longer have to worry about these people betraying us!”

Earlier signatures might have seed like formalities, but the actions against Mayer Kaufman were undeniable commitnts.

If they betrayed the organization now, they’d be dood!

Robert, who ca to see Donnie today, laughed: “Now we just wait for these people to grow!”

“Yes indeed!”

Donnie leaned back on the sofa, a hint of anticipation in his eyes!
