Also old friends with Monroe!
"Alright, I’ll go now!" Hector Moreno was very happy. Monroe didn’t act impulsively. Donnie had already used Aguirre and Escovar’s rebellion to prove that he had the capability to start a rebellion in xico that would make everyone break out in a cold sweat.
No matter the outco of this rebellion, Calles, the one in power, definitely wouldn’t want such a thing to happen again, so he would certainly compromise with Donnie. If Aguirre and Escovar win, they would definitely fulfill the promise they made to Donnie Block.
The key point is, if Aguirre and Escovar win, he wouldn’t even have a chance to bow down to Donnie.
If Calles successfully quells the rebellion, would he sacrifice himself in negotiations with Donnie Block?
Monroe regretted his previous actions once again.
"Right, I must upgrade the security asures around !" Monroe reminded Hector Moreno as he prepared to leave.
Hector Moreno felt that Monroe was making a fuss over nothing. Monroe was the head of the xican Labor Party, and nominally, the third most powerful figure in the xican governnt.
How could Donnie be bold enough to send soone to assassinate Monroe?
However, Moreno didn’t voice these thoughts to Monroe.
He just nodded and said, "I understand, I’ll do it now!"
After that, Hector Moreno left.
By late night, Hector Moreno dragged his weary body back ho.
As Monroe’s number one confidant, Hector Moreno’s financial conditions naturally weren’t bad and he lived in the most upscale apartnt in the core area of xico City!
Opening the door, Monroe’s face slightly changed.
Because at this ti, his ho should have been filled with laughter and his children should be playing, his wife happily taking care of them.
But now, the lights in the living room were on, but there was no movent in the house!
Hector Moreno took out a gun from his waist. He had never served in the army nor had he fired a gun. The reason for having a gun was solely because he was Monroe’s confidant.
Hector Moreno never thought there would co a day when he would draw a handgun in his own ho.
"Mr. Moreno, if I were you, I wouldn’t do such a foolish thing!"
Hector Moreno saw a man wearing a black suit erge from his bedroom.
"Who are you? Where are Erika and Daniel?" Hector Moreno frantically pointed his gun at the man and loudly asked.
Erika was his wife, and Daniel was his son.
The man smiled and said, "Rest assured, they are safe for now, but that doesn’t an they’ll remain safe!"
Hector Moreno’s face turned white, "What do you an? What do you want to do?"
The man helped himself to a bottle of whiskey from Hector Moreno’s liquor cabinet and poured himself a glass, then sat on the sofa.
"Mr. Moreno, I think if you want them to be safe, you should put down your gun, and then we can have a nice chat!"
After speaking, the man gestured to the empty sofa in front of him.
Hector Moreno struggled internally but ultimately reluctantly complied with the man’s request.
"Who are you?"
Sitting on the sofa, Hector Moreno asked tremulously.
The man said, "Who I am isn’t important. What matters is, Mr. Moreno, do you want to see your wife and child again?"
Hector Moreno stared hard at the man, suddenly asking, "What exactly do you want to do?"
The man said, "It’s simple, take the gun you just placed on the coffee table and shoot your master, Monroe, in the head, and then you can see your family!"
"Are you with Donnie Block?" Hector Moreno loudly asked.
"I won’t answer your question!" The man said after sipping his whiskey, waving his hand, "Now, you have a choice before you. A, you don’t et my demands, in which case you’ll be with your family forever, possibly in hell or maybe in heaven, but that doesn’t matter. B, you agree to my terms, kill Monroe, and we’ll arrange a boat for you to leave xico. Of course, you’ll also receive a sum of money so you can live happily elsewhere!"
"Heh!" Hector Moreno sneered, "If I kill Monroe, do you think I’ll be able to walk out of Monroe’s mansion alive?"
The man casually said, "That’s not my concern, but I can assure you that if you do manage to co out alive, my option B will be effective for you!"
Hector Moreno found himself in extre anguish.
This was a choice without a choice.
The only difference was whether he would die tonight or tomorrow!
"How can I be sure that after my death, you’ll guarantee the safety of my wife and child?"
Hector Moreno conversed with the man while considering counterasures.
The man laughed, "I can assure you, of course. But I think from your perspective, you don’t really trust my assurances, do you? But do you have any other options?"
Hector Moreno was montarily speechless. He indeed did not trust the man, but did he really have a choice?
"I want to see them!"
Hector Moreno said.
"Of course!" The man nodded, "They’re in the room, you can see them anyti!"
Hector Moreno quickly stood up and returned to his bedroom, where he saw Erika and Daniel restrained. Their mouths were sealed, but in their eyes, Hector Moreno could see pleading and fear.
In this room, there were also three other n in black suits, holding guns.
Hector Moreno hurried over to embrace his wife and child.
The three n in black didn’t stop him.
After comforting his wife and child with a few words, Hector Moreno exited the room and returned to the living room.
"There’s sothing you might not know, Monroe is already in contact with Mr. Block through Gerry Fen, willing to cede so of his interests in xico. Perhaps Monroe might beco a partner with Mr. Block in the future!"
Hector Moreno looked at the man with a pleading expression.
The man waved his hand, "That has nothing to do with . Now that you’ve seen your family, you can make your choice."
After speaking, the man picked up the handgun Hector Moreno had placed on the table, checked the bullets inside, then pointed it at Moreno.
Hector Moreno’s face turned pale, not expecting the man to be so resolute.
At this point, he had no other choice, "I choose B. I’ll find a way to kill Monroe tomorrow. I hope your promise holds!"
The man smiled, setting down the gun, and said, "Of course. There’ll be a black Ford car parked outside Monroe’s villa tomorrow. If you manage to escape Monroe’s residence, get in the car. They’ll take you away!"
Hector Moreno thought of a way....
The man, seeing Hector Moreno’s expression, smiled and said, "Mr. Moreno, I advise you not to think of anything else. Your wife and child will be hidden in two different places. The driver of the car knows which places, but I don’t. But I can confirm that he only knows one place. aning, if you try sothing, you’ll definitely lose one family mber and you and another family mber will only live a few days longer!"
Hector Moreno’s face went ashen, knowing his plan just now was aningless!
At this point, the man stood up with a smile, "Well, Mr. Moreno, since you’ve made up your mind, we’ll take your family away for now, see you tomorrow!"
