Chapter 1269: Chapter 434: When Madness ets Reality
Jimmy Chandler was a struggling actor lingering at the gates of Hollywood, and before today, he was almost unable to afford his cheap rent.
At that ti, Jimmy Chandler even considered whether he should find one of his girlfriends to stay with for a while.
Just then, a man in a trench coat approached him and, before Jimmy could fully grasp the situation, handed him ten thousand US Dollars along with a photo.
The photo showed a girl wearing glasses. Based on his experience, Jimmy Chandler determined that she must be a girl from a wealthy family, as her clothes were exquisitely tailored and her aura was sothing that ordinary families couldn’t cultivate.
“If you can win her over, you’ll get another ten thousand dollars!”
The man in the trench coat told Jimmy Chandler in a low voice.
From this very proposal, Jimmy Chandler deduced that it was definitely a troubleso task, but he barely took a second to agree to it.
There was money involved, and a beautiful girl to pursue.
Jimmy Chandler thought that even if it was a bit troubleso, he could handle it, and he believed that with his wit and cleverness, he could eventually untangle any problems.
So the man in the trench coat told Jimmy Chandler the girl’s na and interests.
However, he didn’t disclose the girl’s background.
As for whether Jimmy Chandler would deduce Joan Harrison’s identity from her na… even in this age of the internet, it’s unlikely anyone would deliberately investigate such matters!
Thus today, Jimmy Chandler appeared next to Joan Harrison.
Joan Harrison looked at Jimmy Chandler with so curiosity: golden hair, handso features, a tall stature; it must be said, from his appearance, he was an extrely attractive man.
If Joan Harrison wanted to write a story about European nobles from the Middle Ages, she would definitely use Jimmy Chandler’s appearance for the male protagonist.
“Miss, as a gentleman, I feel I should remind you that it’s dangerous here.”
Jimmy Chandler, holding a wine glass, leaned against the bar counter and spoke in a low voice.
Joan Harrison laughed and said, “I don’t feel there’s any danger!”
Although Joan Harrison was sowhat resistant to her impending marriage, she had to admit that the Block Family and the Harrison family guaranteed her safety no matter where she was.
Jimmy Chandler shook his head and said, “No, you haven’t realized the danger yet; such a beautiful girl like you appearing in a place like this is, in itself, a very dangerous thing, and even more so if you’re unfamiliar with the environnt.”
At this point, Jimmy Chandler suddenly showed a surprised expression and then whispered, “Fair lady, could it be that you’re a runaway princess from so family? If so, that would explain why you’re here!”
Joan Harrison sensed his flirtation, yet she wasn’t very averse to it because Jimmy Chandler was handso and, at the sa ti, she found him sowhat humorous; she was willing to chat with such a man.
With this mindset, the two quickly beca familiar with each other and engaged in delightful banter.
During the conversation, Joan Harrison increasingly found that Jimmy Chandler matched the perfect male lead in her novels; he was humorous, a couple of casual jokes would make her laugh heartily.
He was attentive, always seeming to notice her interests, ordering her favorite drinks and preparing her preferred cigarettes.
He was brave. During this process, others approached her, so with bad tempers, but Jimmy Chandler easily dismissed them.
Joan Harrison’s fondness for Jimmy Chandler soared.
When it was ti to leave, Joan Harrison did not refuse his company out of the bar.
Unexpectedly, just as they left the bar, they were surrounded by several people holding knives, whom Joan recognized as the ones who had unsuccessfully tried to flirt with her in the bar and whom Jimmy Chandler had driven away.
Their opponents looked at them arrogantly and, after making so derisive remarks, lunged forward.
Then, at that mont, Jimmy Chandler sprang into action. He subdued them effortlessly, like a god descending to earth.
Joan Harrison felt emotionally stirred by what she witnessed.
“Were you frightened by what just happened?” Jimmy Chandler asked with concern, apologizing, “Usually, I don’t resort to violence and don’t believe it can solve problems, but when I saw them trying to harm you, I couldn’t hold back.”
Joan Harrison shook her head with a wave of emotion, “No, I think you’re very manly!”
Jimmy Chandler smiled slightly and said, “That’s the nicest thing I’ve heard all year.”
Beep beep beep!
Just then, the car horn interrupted their conversation, as Joan Harrison’s driver got out of the car and respectfully said, “Miss, we should go back now!”
Joan Harrison nodded, looking at Jimmy Chandler with so reluctance, and asked, “Will we et again?”
