Everyday Internet Café was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, eerily silent.

The business inside could only be described as "abysmal."

Occasionally, cries that could silence a baby’s night terrors echoed through the space.

"When is the boss coming back?"

"Let’s go, ti for Grandma’s dumplings!"

Ms. Wang Yueyue, who had been waiting for what felt like "half a month," "half a century," or perhaps even "half an epoch," began to slowly lose her composure at the ntion of "Grandma’s dumplings."

She collapsed to the floor like a corpse, emitting a rotted, pitch-black fog, her mouth splitting grotesquely, stretching down to the base of her neck.

"When exactly can I expect you back, if you don’t co back soon... I’ll start devouring your custors!"

Of course, there were no custors to speak of.

Those darn kids were all at school, leaving the Internet café dead quiet!

The loneliness of one or two days was bearable.

But now, she was on the verge of insanity.

She couldn’t do anything!

Not only could she not leave the café, she couldn’t even go online or play the gas here.

That damned beverage vending machine just kept taunting her, relentless in its mockery, every second of every minute!

She had never seen a vending machine so shalessly insolent.

Wang Yueyue’s expression darkened further until Ling Pingzhi, having enjoyed his Grandma’s dumplings, returned to the store, at which point she sowhat returned to normal.

"I want Grandma’s dumplings. Go buy so for !"

"That’s not how it works," Ling Pingzhi patted his stomach, "I can’t break the rules like that, big sis."

"I want Grandma’s dumplings~" Her tone softened suddenly, adopting a coy ani-style voice, "Pretty please, little brother~"

But Ling Pingzhi lacked sexual desire, therefore, was unmoved by any fetish.

He was utterly uninterested in a woman whose face was a pixelated ss: "Honestly, everyone’s avoiding you because they’re terrified you’ll snatch their cousin, up to no good."

"I’ve told you, the café owner is smarter and stronger than you, so why spout such nonsense?"

The crumbling Wang Yueyue didn’t want to talk about that: "Just get Grandma’s dumplings!"

"No way, I can’t do it; I don’t have the money," said Ling Pingzhi, who sought protection by hiding next to the vending machine.

The vending machine jittered and jolted, making a "creak-creak" noise.

Wang Yueyue was close to tears, unable to outdo the crazy machine, her emotional turbulence far greater than that of Ling Pingzhi.

After all, humans are social animals; even those who are incarcerated, over ti, yearn for social interaction.

Now, she had no access to the outside world—her only conversation partner was Ling Pingzhi, whose mind wasn’t quite right.

The prospect of this prison-like life going on forever shattered her ntal state entirely.

Wang Yueyue collapsed again, then began to tear at her hair, forcibly ripping her head off to throw it out of the café.

"What on earth do Grandma’s dumplings taste like... I must eat them!"

No matter how hard she threw, a faint light screen prevented the head from leaving.

"Hey, hey, hey, calm down, you’re wasting your energy," Ling Pingzhi watched with delight as she engaged in her folly.

What did it matter if she was a true Demon God or adept at calculation?

Once turned human, she was as foolish as ever!

Not as clever as Ling Pingzhi, who’d latched onto the right leg to avoid being imprisoned—no way!

He relished his life there every day!

...

...

It was then that a series of light footsteps approached.

Before Han Xiaoyue even entered, she saw a decomposing head roll "gurgle-gurgle" to her feet, sending a shiver up her spine.

Stepping inside, she saw a woman in a red dress on the ground, her face covered in pixelated mosaics.

"Is the boss back? Nope, just kidding!" Wang Yueyue got up from the floor, unashad of her recent breakdown, her head screwed back on.

Her eyes scanned Han Xiaoyue’s cousin.

Suddenly it all made sense; her eyes widened as she snickered, "Hehehe."

Got it!

This was indeed top-tier human material; even in the "Blue Star World" she once ruled, amidst such vast populations, one could hardly find such quality goods.

Both soul and body were nearly flawless, suprely fresh and delectable!

"So that’s it, such a fine girl should be given the greatest pleasure. To consu her at the happiest peak of her life, leaving not even a bone behind!"

"The boss of the Internet café truly is one of our kind, the greatest villain of the Etheric Abyss!"

"To have been this patient for a bite... I’m nowhere near," Wang Yueyue’s mind wandered with wicked thoughts, "I must tell her the truth!"

"The food Mr. Wang brought for you, eat up."

Han Xiaoyue noticed the deranged client’s throat bobbing with relentless swallowing, absurd ideas creeping into her mind, and instinctively touched the necklace at her chest.

Is this broken guest rambling about wanting to eat ? My big cousin has such desires?

Well... that’s normal.

"Why are there three portions?"

"I’ve left them all here; take them yourselves. One for each person!"

Top-quality prey!
