Carolyn's POV:

If public opinion suddenly moves in one direction like a flock of sheep chased by a sheepdog, there's no doubt that soone is manipulating it.

"Do you think this is the doing of the Jasperian governnt?" I asked. "Controlling public opinion to pressure us?"

The Queen didn't think so. "No, I believe it's soone else rather than the governnt. Our cooperation with humans is still in its honeymoon period. Even if this sweet exchange doesn't last forever, it should not be ruined now. Countless businesses, institutions, and individuals are signing contracts with us. If our diplomatic relations worsen, Jasper will suffer a massive economic blow. For a capital-driven nation, it's not the anger of the common people they fear but the discontent of the wealthy elite.

"The Jasperian governnt might play a default role in it, but most likely, they are not the ones behind all this," she added.

I couldn't comprehend. "Then who could it be? Besides, I don't understand the purpose of inciting anger among Jasperian citizens. After all, those people are humans and have no direct influence on the werewolf pack."

"That's what puzzled before, but now, I believe I have the answer," the Queen said, handing a file to look at.

It was an investigation report about a mber of the Lily of the Valley, Marissa, known as a 'secretary'.

In Jasper, she presented herself as a prominent journalist with close ties to various officials, wealthy businessn, and celebrities, including dia moguls, and so of them were even her admirers.

Marissa had shares in many dia companies, seemingly insignificant individually but sufficient to qualify her to engage with shareholders.

Seeing this, I understood. "So, you believe it's the work of the Lily of the Valley?"

"Yes," the Queen nodded.

But why? Because they were all extre human supremacists? The excuse they gave to the general public just didn't sit right with . I felt like there must be sothing I didn't know. However, if the Queen didn't disclose it to , then it wasn't sothing I should ask about.

After leaving the Queen's office, I initially planned to find Cynthia. We had planned to go to the Midnight Opera House together.

However, I bumped into Yarin halfway there, who asked if I had ti today. Upon hearing that I had a prior engagent with Cynthia, he imdiately asked, "Can you take with you? I'm so bored, Aunt Carolyn."

Of course, there was no problem with that.

Honestly, I didn't really like the private boxes in opera houses and theaters. They were far from the stage, and I couldn't use a telescope like ancient nobles to watch the performance - which was genuinely silly. So, when I was alone, I preferred to buy tickets for the ground floor seats.

But as mbers of the royal family, Yarin and Cynthia were not allowed to sit in the general seating area. This had nothing to do with their preferences, but rather, it was one of those silly old rules, just like using a telescope to watch a performance.

The siblings were quarreling, and Cynthia threatened to throw Yarin downstairs if he ntioned again how the actor's pants looked like underdeveloped carrots. Yarin snorted in response, "Yes, I guess I shouldn't say that since he's clearly wearing underdeveloped carrots that the chef cut in half."

Cynthia looked like she was about to hit him.

I quickly cald the two kids down. "All right, enough about the male actor. If you find it boring, how about we watch another show? There's 'The Death of a Butterfly' in half an hour, and it's from the human side. Are you interested?"

Cynthia pouted, saying, "I'm not bored; it's Yarin who keeps causing trouble. This silly boy insisted on coming with us."

Yarin looked guilty and sat quietly, saying, "Okay, I'm sorry. I'll be quiet."

As we watched quietly, Yarin suddenly approached and asked, "Aunt Carolyn, do you have a boyfriend?"

"Hey, that's rude!" Cynthia finally scread.

"It's okay; I don't mind being asked about my love life curiously," I replied, returning to comfort Cynthia before asking Yarin, "Not for now. Why do you suddenly ask?"

"Nothing, I just saw the main characters confessing on stage, and it made think of it," Yarin said.

I knew that children of his age were starting to beco aware of romantic feelings, and it was normal for them to be curious about love.

Perhaps this was an opportunity for so emotional education. I smiled and said amid the shocked gazes of the kids, "When I ca of age, I didn't feel any connection to my fated mate. I considered it a sign from destiny that I should not pursue love. Instead, I found other goals in life that fulfilled enough."

The children were extrely surprised, and Cynthia asked incredulously, "You felt nothing at all?"
