Gastone fluttered his eyes as the sun’s heat forced him to wake up. He groaned and felt abdominal pain as soon as he moved.

"Ugh!" Gastone groaned and slowly sat up. He noticed the blanket covering his body, but most of all, Lucia was sleeping beside him.

Lucia was leaning on the sofa where Gastone slept. She had waited for hours until she felt tired and fell asleep.

Gastone couldn’t help but smile. His hand reached to tuck the loose strand of Lucia’s hair, but he stopped an inch apart. He retracted his hand and stood up.

’Ah, I don’t want her to think I’m a creep,’ Gastone thought before putting the blanket over Lucia. He wanted to put her on the sofa, but he didn’t want to touch her.

Gastone proceeded to his room and wrote a letter to Draco about his situation. He laughed at himself after noticing that Draco got him right to his weakness.

Now, Gastone couldn’t move to do so suspicious stuff such as finding his mother without risking Lucia.

"I need to make Lucia fall in love with before I tell her the truth," Gastone muttered to himself before continuing to write, but he didn’t know where to start.

Gastone recalled the tis she pursued Rosina and showered her with riches. He thought Rosina rejected him because of his inappropriate actions, but he realized it was because Rosina and Draco were true mates.

"Yes! If I show Lucia that I have money. Perhaps, she will love . Girls like jewels after all. Silly beings!" Gastone stated with a laugh. He shrugged in amusent and thought of a perfect plan for a date.

While Gastone was enjoying planning by himself. Lucia woke up and realized Gastone was nowhere to be found.

"Did he leave here?" Lucia asked and noticed the blanket. She blinked a couple of tis and slled the fabric which had Gastone’s scent.

"Cinnamon... Did he go to the spice cabinet?" Lucia asked in confusion. Although she liked the sll. She wrapped the blanket over her body and went upstairs to her room when she heard Gastone’s laughter.

’He’s awake!’ Lucia thought and was about to knock to check Gastone until she heard his maniac laugh. She stepped back with a cringe on her face since Gastone was alone, yet laughing by himself.

"Is he crazy?.... I think he is," Lucia muttered while shaking her head. She found Gastone absurd due to the fact he brought a stranger ho that could do him harm.

"But I am crazier for being here," Lucia added before going to her room. As soon as she closed the door, a knock was heard and Gastone was right outside the door.

"Do you need sothing?" Lucia asked with a forced smile. She didn’t expect him at all.

"Ah! Yes! We’re going to the market. Please wear decent clothes and a robe. We’re leaving in 30 minutes," Gastone inford before walking away.

"Wait! 30 minutes!?" Lucia exclaid in surprise and chased Gastone out of the door, but he was gone. "How can a girl get ready in 30 minutes!?" she added in frustration.

It was the first ti Lucia would shop on her own. Before, she was accompanied by n who hired her, but she couldn’t freely roam around.

Lucia got dressed and fixed herself as fast as she could before coming out. She heard Gastone’s voice outside and when she looked at the window, her eyes widened with allure.

Gastone was patting the horse’s head with a handso smile. That was enough to make Lucia lt since she was a sucker for looks. She went down and was greeted by two n outside.

Jorge and Navin smiled as if they weren’t about to follow them in secret.

"Lucia, co here," Gastone called out and gestured for her to co. His face beca serious after making eye contact with the two knights.

"Are we... riding a horse?" Lucia asked in amazent. She was scared since it was her first ti and was hesitant to even get closer to the animal.

"Don’t worry, I’ll keep you safe," Gastone stated in reassurance and held his hand to help her.

"Are you sure about this?" Lucia asked and was breathing deeply to calm down.

"Trust , I will never do you harm," Gastone replied and helped Lucia to sit on the horse.

"Kyah!" Lucia shouted and bent her body forward while gripping the horse to secure herself. She felt so movent and warmth behind her.

"Don’t worry, I’m here," Gastone chuckled and grabbed the saddle to stabilize the horse.

Lucia gulped and slowly sat up when the horse moved forward, causing her back to lean rearward in Gastone’s chest.

"I-I’m sorry!" Lucia exclaid and imdiately pushed herself ahead, but the movent of the horse made her tilt back again.

"Relax, I don’t mind you leaning on ," Gastone whispered with a smirk before signalling the horse to go. He looked at the two knights behind and Jorge was the one who followed them since Navin would deliver the letter to the Palace.

"Wow! This is amazing!" Lucia exclaid with excitent when the horse started running. The wind slamd on her face and she liked it.

Gastone smiled upon seeing his mate enjoying, especially when he could feel her touch.

"We’ll be at the nearby town for a bit," Gastone inford and changed direction.

They weren’t going to Sabrecrown’s main city, but rather one of the small towns in the Pack. He didn’t want to risk seeing wolves that would cause Lucia to panic and leave him.

In the town, there were fewer werewolf shifts and it was the safest option for Gastone. It didn’t take long before they could see the town after getting out of the forest area.

The plain fields full of plantations appeared and several wolves were working on their crops.

Gastone hurriedly covered Lucia’s head with the hood, and did the sa thing to himself. Even though he wasn’t in royalty anymore, so wolves still recognized him due to his golden hair. All he wanted was to let his mate shop to her heart’s content even though he couldn’t afford too much expensive stuff anymore.
