Felissa gulped the warm milk she drank and glanced at Vicenzo before her. They were currently having breakfast in the garden alone. The servants that served them were different, and Idola was nowhere to be seen.
"The pancake tastes good. You should try it," Vicenzo stated while taking a bite and gesturing toward the plate in front of Felissa.
Felissa pursed her lips and looked straight into Vicenzo’s eyes. "I’m sorry for throwing the pillow in your face," she stated genuinely.
"It’s alright. I already forgot about that," Vicenzo replied with a chuckle. He was hurt by that ti, but knowing Felissa chose to sleep beside him was enough to ignore the pain.
"Oh, okay," Felissa was delighted and sighed in relief. She smiled gently before enjoying her food.
After they were done, Vicenzo went to the arena while Felissa decided to pay Rosina a visit.
"Okay, you got this," Felissa whispered to strengthen herself. Before she could knock, the door was opened by Silvio.
"Hi, I... Uhhh," Felissa panicked and didn’t know what to say.
"Welco, Lady Felissa. Her Majesty is at the office," Silvio inford and stepped back to give Felissa more space.
"Thank you," Felissa replied before entering. Her heart was beating faster the more she got closer to Rosina.
"Your Majesty," Felissa greeted and curtsied to show respect.
"May I help you?" Rosina replied without looking at Felissa. She was busy putting seals in the paperwork for approval.
"Ah, no. I ca here to apologize for what I did. It’s wrong for to leave the pack and venture to the enemy without preparations," Felissa muttered while fidgeting with her fingers.
Rosina stopped what she was doing and glanced at Felissa. "My dear friend, I don’t want that to happen again since it will put the pack in an uncomfortable position," she said thoughtfully.
"Yes, I won’t do it again," Felissa expressed desperately and knelt to show how sincere she was.
"That’s good to hear. The war is over, and Sabrecrown is safe. You don’t have to worry about the rest and focus on your future. I sent a letter to your parents to et you and Vicenzo from here," Rosina inford, which shocked Felissa.
"My p-parents?" Felissa stuttered and beca nervous. "I-I don’t want to go back there after what they did to ," she added with pure rage.
Rosina closed her eyes to calm herself. When she removed parts of Felissa’s mories, she was able to see so of her mories and that included what had happened in the Midnight pack.
"Yes, I understand, but you don’t have to worry. This is my gift to you," Rosina stood up from her seat with a bit of struggle since her stomach was bulging.
"What do you an?" Felissa asked in concern.
Rosina stood in front of Felissa and caressed her cheeks. "Your parents will withdraw from the leadership of the Midnight pack. I will have you four signed up in an agreent since I don’t want conflict in the future. Once you return to the Midnight pack, you will beco the Luna and Vicenzo as the Alpha," she explained slowly to ensure Felissa understood everything.
"Wait, this is too sudden," Felissa stepped back since she felt squeamish.
"Not really. You have been unconscious for weeks, Felissa. Many things already happened, but I don’t want you to think about that," Rosina smiled, sat on the sofa, and rubbed her belly.
"But, what happened to the previous Queen and the twins!?" Felissa exclaid and sat before Rosina.
"Ah, Cinzia, don’t worry about her. I’ve taken care of her new place where she could no longer escape. About the twins, Piku and Paku, right? Vicenzo had saved them, and they are currently under his care. If you have other questions, ask your mate," Rosina stated nonchalantly. She smiled at Felissa, who was trying to absorb all she had said.
"O-okay, I will. Thank you very much; I really appreciate it," Felissa thanked and bowed her head.
"You’re welco. Now go and prepare yourself," Rosina gestured to Felissa to go since she wanted to rest.
Felissa smiled before turning back to leave, but she halted. "Rosina, what would you do if soone important tried to kill you," she asked as her eyes shook from the mory.
Rosina pursed her lips and glanced at Felissa, whose back facing her.
"If it’s . I will kill the person who tried to end my life, but in your case, think about if it’s an accidental or intentional kill," Rosina replied with a shrug. Deep inside, she didn’t care to either, she would just kill those who did her harm, but it was different to Felissa.
"Thank you," Felissa replied before leaving the room.
Silvio glanced at Rosina with a raised eyebrow. It always amazed him how Rosina solved everything under her nose.
At the sa ti, Felissa’s vision started to get blurry. She leaned against the wall to support herself since her body lost balance.
"Ugh," Felissa groaned in pain when she had a terrible headache. A mory of which Vicenzo stabbed her with a sword kept rewinding like a broken record in her brain.
"I need to compose myself," Felissa whispered, forcing herself to walk. She decided to et with Vicenzo in the arena, ask him about the twins and inform him about her parent’s withdrawal from the leadership.
"Lady, are you alright?" several Palace servants and knights asked Felissa that question upon seeing her state, but she ignored them.
Felissa had a goal in mind and didn’t want to delay it much further. She took a deep breath when she was near the arena and slapped herself as hard as she could to bring her senses together.
"I can do this! Vicenzo doesn’t know that Felicia is part of and that beast. He won’t harm . It wasn’t an intentional kill," Felissa muttered multiple tis since her instinct told her otherwise.
Upon arriving at the arena, it was almost empty, but several wolves were in there, including Vicenzo.
Felissa was about to call Vicenzo when she saw him extend his hand and wipe sothing from Piku’s face near her lip.
