Not realizing it was already lunchti until she felt hungry, Zhao Qian ordered so takeout, ate quickly, and resud reading, oblivious even as night began to fall.

the plot is just as Zhao Qian had anticipated.
Harry Potter and two other contestants have reached the final round.
Among them is one character Zhao Qian particularly likes: Cedric.
Honestly speaking,
Chu Kuang’s character developnt is truly outstanding!
Though Cedric was ntioned earlier in the story, Zhao Qian didn’t feel much for him at first because of the limited focus on his character.
Her favorites up to that point were Snape, Hagrid, and, of course, Headmaster Dumbledore.
But in this installnt,
Cedric’s character has truly co to life.
Cedric, who is three years older than Harry, is sothing of a senior to him.
He is a calm, talented, and graceful boy.
People admire him for embodying “everything one could hope for in a Hogwarts student.”
The story initially paints him as almost flawless.
Perhaps that’s why Zhao Qian had no strong feelings about his character at first.
This kind of larger-than-life, morally upright character always feels sowhat unrelatable.
But in this installnt,
Zhao Qian completely falls for Cedric!
When Harry beca the fourth champion of the Triwizard Tournant,
the students from other houses misunderstood him, accusing him of using underhanded thods to qualify.
Many began wearing “Potter Stinks” badges in protest.
Even his good friend Ron started distancing himself from Harry.
Cedric, however, urged those students to remove these obviously insulting badges targeting Harry.
It’s worth noting,
that at a school where students fiercely defend their house’s honor, this was no small gesture. Every Quidditch match is fought with relentless determination, regardless of the dangers involved.
And this wasn’t Quidditch.
This was the Triwizard Tournant, a competition among the schools held once every hundred years!
And the trophy for this match represents an honor that Cedric’s house, Hufflepuff, hasn’t won for centuries!
In the original text:
This is “the most important competition of Cedric’s life!”
And yet,
Harry shared what he knew about the first task with Cedric.
As a result, Cedric successfully advanced.
Cedric, a firm believer in fairness,
displayed that characteristic Libra-like pursuit of justice by revealing to Harry how to decode the second task.
Even though they were competitors.
“Dreamboat!”
Zhao Qian’s eyes sparkled with little stars.
Girls just can’t resist characters like this.
Before, Cedric’s perfection and righteousness had felt hollow to Zhao Qian, almost making her resistant to liking his character.
But upon witnessing Cedric’s actions,
his nobility and perfection beca grounded in reality, no longer just empty descriptions. His charm exploded onto the pages, and Zhao Qian genuinely fell for him!
In fact,
any reader reaching this point would develop imnse admiration for Cedric!
He’s a character that represents the light, his overall image undeniably positive, a flawlessly depicted figure!

She realizes she might be fangirling a little too hard.
Zhao Qian pats her blushing cheeks and continues flipping the pages.
The final round begins!
Cedric charges toward the trophy!
By all accounts, Cedric should’ve been the first to seize the trophy!
But then the unexpected happens.
A giant spider entangles Cedric!
Thankfully,
Harry intervenes, helping him escape the clutches of the spider.
Seeing the trophy within reach, Cedric lets out a strained smile.
With all his determination, he urges Harry to take the trophy.
Because he believes,
Harry is the one who truly deserves the final victory!
Fairness!
Fairness!
Still fairness!
This is quintessential Cedric!
It seems to be his life mantra!
For this,
he relinquishes “the most important competition of his life.”
He gives up “an honor Hufflepuff hasn’t seen in hundreds of years.”
“Ah!”
Isn’t it outrageously cool?!
Zhao Qian’s affection for Cedric is now off the charts!
It’s not just about his pursuit of fairness but also his inherent kindness. No wonder the novel described him as having “everything one could hope for in a Hogwarts student”!
Handso, noble, and kind!
On top of that, he’s so capable!
In any other novel, he’d be the main hero, no doubt about it!
But Harry Potter is also amazing.
The actual protagonist invites Cedric to jointly claim the trophy and share the honor together.

Zhao Qian loves this arrangent!
Cedric and Harry achieving a win-win scenario!
When the two lift the trophy together, Zhao Qian’s smile is unstoppable. This is probably why she loves the Harry Potter series so much.
But then.
At that very mont!
A shocking turn of events unfolds!
Soone tampered with the trophy!
Harry and Cedric are dragged to a graveyard!
It turns out this was all Voldemort’s plan—he was using Harry to regain his physical form!
In the next mont,
Zhao Qian froze!
Her vision started to blur!
In Voldemort’s grand sche targeting Harry, Cedric beca an innocent casualty and was killed by the enemy…
Cedric… died!
The character Zhao Qian had just fallen in love with died like this!
Even at the last mont of his life, surrounded by the most terrifying enemies in the Wizarding World, he tried to draw his wand to fight!
For several seconds, she was completely stunned.
Only after so ti did Zhao Qian regain her senses.
Her eyes began to sting, and her heart ached deeply. For the first ti after reading four Harry Potter novels, Zhao Qian experienced such heart-wrenching pain!
In a daze,
she wasn’t even sure how she finished the rest of the story.
During Voldemort’s duel with Harry, their wands reacted strangely.
The spirits of everyone Voldemort had killed appeared.
Among them was Cedric’s spirit.
He didn’t bla anyone.
Even though he had tragically beco an irrelevant sacrifice in the confrontation between Harry and Voldemort.
He simply asked Harry:
To take his body back.
To return him to his parents.
Perhaps the thing that saddened him most before his death was the thought of how his parents would react to the tragedy.
And at the end of the story,
Headmaster Dumbledore expressed his deep condolences for Cedric at the end-of-term feast:
“Cedric exemplified the unique qualities of Hufflepuff. He is a model worth learning from.”
“He was a kind and loyal friend.”
“He cherished fair competition, and his death was a shock to everyone, whether they knew him or not.”
“Please rember Cedric—”
“When you must choose between what is right and what is easy—”
“Never forget the ordeal of a boy who was upright, kind, and brave.”
Why did it have to be like this?
Why did Chu Kuang make him so noble and wonderful?
It was the most important competition of his life, and he even worked together with Harry, so kind, so fair, with unlimited potential for the future. Yet he had to be killed off?
Tears stread down her cheeks.
Zhao Qian was utterly heartbroken.
Only at this mont did she truly realize that Hufflepuff’s perfect boy was gone forever.

PS: I did consider tweaking this part to have Cedric die saving Harry, but since the original author didn’t write it that way, I chose not to tarnish their vision. They must have had a reason for writing it as-is.
