Chapter 41: Lingya’s Choice

Coach Fu Chang of the Jincheng High School team clapped his hands and stepped aside, revealing the girl behind him.

Fu Chang’s face changed. The principal had, of course, inford him, but he had his own reasons for wanting to proceed differently. Students in private high schools were incredibly spoiled; especially those on the sports team knew their personalities all too well.
His plan was to start Chen Lingya off in the reserves and then find an opportunity later to promote her to full mber.
A sneer ca from within the group, “Just anyone can beco an official mber? Coach Fu, I don’t think she’s even fit for the reserves. Better to just let her get lost.”
Chen Lingya looked at the person who had spoken, extended her little finger, and hooked it lightly, “Let’s have a match. If I lose, I’ll leave imdiately. If I win… you get lost from the school team!”
Several others egged them on, “Lu Ming, fight her.”

The temperature of the entire field plumted by more than twenty degrees in an instant, as Chi Yu’s agile form silently rged with the heavy snow, blending perfectly with the surrounding world.
A blanket of snow covered everything in sight, turning the world a blinding white, causing the other three spectators to sit up straight at once.
One of them swallowed hard, “What skill is this?”
“It looks like Snowfall Cascade…”
“Your Snowfall Cascade can do this?”
“Perhaps a perfect-level Snowfall Cascade might be able to,” the only girl in the trio murmured.

The other two turned to him, confusion in their eyes.

“Teacher, why keep such trash if he can’t even defeat my beast? Isn’t that just wasting a spot? The school team only needs four people anyway, so he is now superfluous.”
Fu Chang fell silent; then from not far away, a voice was heard. “Just as Chen Lingya said, Lu Ming is to leave the school team, and Chen Lingya will take his place as a mber.”
