Xu Musen spoke unhurriedly, but his words imdiately brought a formal air to the dinner table.

"Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle An, Nuannuan and I have been together for so long and have lived together for so long. I am very grateful for your trust and understanding, but after all, we are already twenty years old. "Child, did your family suggest this, or was it your own decision?" Grandma asked in her usual kindly tone.
"I haven't formally discussed the engagent with my family yet, but my parents have always been prepared; they both really like Nuannuan. They support everything I do unconditionally.
Moreover, this wasn't a decision I made on my own, but one that Nuannuan and I made together. We also hope to gain your approval."
Xu Musen, holding An Nuannuan's hand, watched as the girl's ears turned red, but listening to Xu Musen's firm tone, her heart felt even sweeter than the sugar-coated haws she had eaten today.
She also slowly raised her head. Although she was a bit shy and nervous, her large eyes didn't shift away from Xu Musen as their hands clenched tighter.
