Until a woman appeared, she recognized , "Oh, it’s you?"
I took a mont to glance at her. It was the short-haired woman who spoke up for in the shop a few days ago.
Today, she was wearing a pair of exaggerated earrings and dressed very flamboyantly, yet she didn’t give off a tacky vibe at all. Instead, she seed very sexy and lively.
"Nice to see you again." I gathered myself and greeted the short-haired woman with a smile.
Henry Preston stood next to , exuding an air that warned strangers to keep away, looking coldly at the woman.
"Haha, what a coincidence. Are you drinking here?" The short-haired woman had a cheerful and enthusiastic personality, her voice loud and clear, "And him? Is he your boyfriend?"
She pointed to Henry Preston.
I imdiately denied it, "We don’t know each other well, just an acquaintance."
A trace of amazent flashed in the short-haired woman’s eyes, "Really? Then you don’t mind if I pursue him, right? I think he’s quite handso."
She expressed her interest in Henry Preston very directly.
"Sure, go ahead!" I made a cheering gesture, not taking her words to heart at all.
However, Henry Preston’s face darkened. When she stepped forward to ask for his contact information, he gave a fierce glare, then got into a Porsche by the roadside and sped away.
The short-haired woman held up her phone, looking amused and exasperated, "Girl, your friend has quite a temper, huh!"
"Not just a temper, but no sha either. I suggest you pick another target, he’s not worth it." After Henry left, I imdiately took out my phone, "But if you like a challenge, I can give you his phone number."
The short-haired woman looked at in surprise and then broke into a radiant smile, "Really? He didn’t seem like just an acquaintance, could it be a lovers’ spat just now?"
I felt like laughing, "Both he and I are in our thirties, old n and won, there’s no such thing as a lovers’ spat. Trust , I really don’t know him well."
The short-haired woman turned to look in the direction Henry drove off, her smile dimming a bit, her eyes showing curiosity, "He seems not only handso but also wealthy. Why didn’t you go after him?"
Why the hell didn’t I pursue him? I chased for ten years without success, and after our divorce, it had the opposite effect!
I felt a sense of camaraderie with the short-haired woman and kindly advised her, "Girl, let give you a piece of advice, wealthy and handso n are all unfaithful. If you want to pursue him, you’ll end up in a harem battle with a bunch of won. It’s not worth it!"
"Hahahaha..." The short-haired woman burst into laughter and took out her phone, "No way, I have to add you. If I ever decide to go after that handso guy, I’ll need your help!"
Another naive woman blinded by Henry’s looks, I sighed in my heart. I was once foolishly chasing after Henry, eager to beco the one he cherished the most.
Little did I know that there was soone else he treasured, even a substitute.
If the short-haired woman’s charm was great enough to win Henry’s heart, she’d be his true beloved.
I gladly added the short-haired woman. Her WeChat na was "Kitty at the Bar," which seed quite interesting.
"Just call Kitty." She happily shook her phone.
"Okay, I’m Zoe Hathaway," I introduced myself generously.
Kitty seed to ponder, "I feel like I’ve heard that na sowhere before. Oh, what’s the na of that bad-tempered handso guy just now?"
"Henry Preston, you can look him up online," I replied.
Kitty scratched her red, short hair, her eyes outlined with smoky makeup showing a hint of surprise, "I think I know who he is. Isn’t he the Preston Group CEO who’s been trending on entertainnt news recently?"
That said it all. Henry has always been a hot topic for scandals. Kitty seed young and probably browsed entertainnt news and gossip a lot.
Then she seed to recall sothing, her eyes widening as she looked at , "Zoe Hathaway, isn’t that the na of his ex-wife? Oh my god, have I just witnessed a public spat between a domineering CEO and his ex-wife?"
Her description made laugh; sohow, when these words ca from Kitty, they were quite humorous, not offensive at all.
Just then, my phone rang. It was a ssage from Henry: "If you dare give that alternative girl my number, you’ll bear the consequences!"
