Wu Shi watched Fu Bing with a smile in the corners of his eyes.

Her insights were as good as ever.

His faked death, his mother leaving the Qin Family, and Qin Jinmo not being as obedient or compliant as expected—all these had left Qin Sheng dissatisfied.

Qin Sheng had always hidden behind him, occasionally able to pull strings with just a flick of his fingers.

There weren’t many people Qin Sheng could actually control.

He knew his band of bodyguards was useless; he was well aware of it himself.

The only leverage Qin Sheng had against Wu Shi and Fu Bing was, in fact, Fu Bing’s background.

Qin Sheng spoke with a cold face, "You said it yourself."

"I haven’t reached the age where I would forget what I’ve just said."

"It seems I was too lenient with you back then," Qin Sheng said darkly.

"Lenient or not, you’ll soon experience it firsthand." Fu Bing extended her hand towards Qin Sheng.

Qin Sheng glanced at her hand suspended in midair and ignored it.

"Afraid I poisoned you? I, Fu Bing, am not that sinister. I said I would use your own thods to take revenge, and I always keep my word!"

Fu Bing raised an eyebrow, stubbornly not retracting her hand.

Qin Sheng, with a petulant expression, extended his hand to shake hers.

After a perfunctory shake, he withdrew his hand.

Fu Bing’s smile was radiant as she tilted her chin up slightly. "Then make way."

Qin Sheng felt a sting from Fu Bing’s smile.

Fu Bing and Wu Shi had already gotten into the car.

Only then did Qin Sheng realize he hadn’t achieved his goal for the evening. He had intended for Fu Bing to hand over the Wu Shipyard to him. But now...

Qin Sheng, filled with anger, kicked the car door.

Fu Bing lowered the car window, just in ti to see the anger on Qin Sheng’s face.

Her smile beca even more resplendent. "See you next ti, Mr. Qin."

Her soft tone only added fuel to the fire.

Wu Shi’s gaze was cold as he watched Qin Sheng’s anger intensify.

Not until they returned to Fu Bing’s villa did Wu Shi speak.

"You poisoned him."

"Mm," Fu Bing didn’t deny it. "Aunt Ning recently developed a new colorless and tasteless drug. It’s not fatal, but it will make a person feel tired day after day, leaving them without the energy to handle anything."

"You don’t plan to take his life?" Wu Shi looked at her intently. "Is it because of Qin Jinhai?"

Fu Bing paused for a mont while changing her shoes and said calmly, "He’s one of the reasons."

"But the more important reason is that I grew up in an era with a well-established legal system. Although I was trapped by legal ans for three years, I still believe the law can solve most of the world’s evils. I can’t resort to killing soone just because I hate them."

Wu Shi pursed his lips and said nothing.

Fu Bing didn’t notice his expression.

Qin Sheng’s appearance sparked an idea: she would find a way to link the Wu Shipyard to him, making him take the fall.

Once the matter was settled, she would dismiss everyone involved.

Those who were useful would continue to be employed. The others would be given enough money to start anew.

Their future would depend on their own choices.

All of this would have to wait until Han Hu had taken her revenge.

Han Hu walked in a daze through the streets late at night.

Neon lights, noisy crowds, booming night markets, fragrant food everywhere...

Han Hu slled the aromas but felt no appetite.

Her sense of taste had vanished after that incident.

No one knew.

She hadn’t told anyone.

Suddenly, soone shoved her hard.

"Are you blind? Watch where you’re going." A sharp female voice rang out.

Han Hu heard the familiar voice and abruptly looked up.

Han Yue, seeing Han Hu’s face clearly and noticing her boyfriend staring at Han Hu, raised her hand to slap her.

Han Hu caught Han Yue’s hand mid-air and sharply twisted it in the opposite direction.

Han Yue cried out in pain.

Her entire arm went limp, hanging at her side.

Shen Linmin shouted in anger, "Are you freaking crazy? It was just a push and you dislocated her entire arm."

"Shen, beat her to death! Ruin her face!" Han Yue pleaded pitifully.

This woman’s face was too beautiful. She had to destroy it while Shen Linmin was angry, or he would keep thinking about her.

She had finally latched onto the Shen Family’s coattails. How could she let another woman take that away?

This woman must have been waiting here in the middle of the night, deliberately trying to seduce Shen Linmin.

Shen Linmin was reluctant to ruin this girl’s face.

Such a beautiful face—it would be a waste not to claim it for himself.

"Girl, do you know who I am? I’m the heir of the Shen Family, my dad is extrely rich. You’ve offended , there’ll be no good end for you."

Han Hu suddenly looked at him with seductive eyes. "Would you really have the heart?"

Her alluring brows were like silk, her voice even softer and more delicate, capable of lting into one’s bones.

Shen Linmin was instantly smitten.

Seeing her chance, Han Yue drew a small knife from her bag with her uninjured hand and stabbed at Han Hu’s face.

She hated all won prettier than her!

They were all out to steal her boyfriend!

Han Hu scread and dodged behind Shen Linmin.

Shen Linmin was shoved back and forth by the two won.

The crowd of onlookers was growing.

Han Yue beca more and more agitated as she stabbed.

The arm hanging at her side throbbed with increasing pain.

Angered, she kicked out at Han Hu’s leg.

Han Hu deftly dodged.

Han Yue’s kick landed heavily on Shen Linmin’s leg instead.

Shen Linmin’s knee, injured in a ga just days ago, flared with pain, making him want to curse.

In a rage, he pushed Han Yue.

Han Yue, who was tearing at Shen Linmin’s clothes, was sent sprawling backward by the force.

Shen Linmin was also pulled down to the ground with her.

Suddenly, Shen Linmin let out a sharp, short scream.

A few seconds later, his body began to convulse.

Han Yue was stunned.

She...

She released the hand gripping the knife handle.

Her hands were soaked in crimson.

The convulsions of Shen Linmin gradually ceased, and he lay motionless on the ground.

It all happened too fast.

The onlookers hadn’t even reacted yet.

It took a long while before soone called ergency services.

Han Yue hurriedly pushed away Shen Linmin’s gradually cooling body and ran into the crowd.

From a distance, Han Hu watched Han Yue flee, a faint smile curling the corners of her mouth.

She had been wondering how to get her revenge.

And Han Yue, that fool, had practically delivered herself to her.

With the Shen Family’s most cherished child gone, neither Han Yue nor the Han Family would get off easily.

Han Yue’s mind was buzzing. She had no idea what to do.

She went to the parking lot to get her car, driving it ho recklessly.

Jian ixue was scared awake when she saw her daughter covered in blood, looking dazed and unsettled.

"Yueyue, what happened to you? How did you end up like this? Why didn’t Lin Min bring you ho?"

At the ntion of Shen Linmin’s na, Han Yue beca frantic.

"Mom... I..."

Han Yue found herself unable to speak.

She had killed soone...

She had killed her boyfriend!

Han Yue suddenly realized her mistake was so great that not even her parents could help her.

Seeing her beloved daughter in such a panicked state, Jian ixue felt extrely distressed.

"Don’t worry, take your ti and tell ."

"Mom, please beg dad to help !"

"I don’t want to go to jail, I don’t want to go to jail!"

Jian ixue beca more and more confused by her daughter’s behavior.

"Sweetheart, take it slow. Tell mom what actually happened? Weren’t you just going out on a date? How did it turn into jail ti?"

Han Yue looked at Jian ixue’s lazy, affluent face, feeling an increasing despair.

Hadn’t she just gone out for a date when she left ho?

How had she turned into a murderer?

It had to be a delusion!

It had to be!

She just needed to sleep it off.

When she woke up, everything would be back to normal.

She was only having a nightmare.
