Capítulo 961: Chapter 960: Going to Xiangcheng Together 1
“That’s good. If anyone bullies you, you must tell the teacher and also let know when you get ho,” Jiang Changhai advised with concern.
Having been in business for so long, he knew too well how city folks look down on people from rural areas. However, he wasn’t sure if city kids had the sa complex thoughts as adults.
“Got it, Dad. Don’t worry. Haven’t you figured out yet? Who could possibly bully ?” Jiang Mianmian said confidently, looking at her dad.
“Haha, you’re right. Co on, daughter, you’ve been at school all day, it’s been exhausting. Let take you out for a nice al,” Jiang Changhai patted his daughter’s head and said with a smile.
“Mm-hmm, sure!” Jiang Mianmian said as she took her dad’s hand, and the two of them cheerfully went to the State-run restaurant.
After the father and daughter had dinner outside, in the evening when Jiang Changhai was wrapping books for Jiang Mianmian, the phone at ho rang.
Jiang Mianmian glanced at the ti, feeling a bit puzzled since this wasn’t the usual ti when Brother Cheng An called her.
With curiosity, she picked up the phone and asked, “Hello, Jiang Changhai’s residence.”
“Little Lamb, how have you been lately? Did you miss ?” Yu Cheng’s familiar voice ca through the phone.
“Brother Yu! You’re finally out. I’ve been missing you for a long ti,” Jiang Mianmian exclaid excitedly upon hearing Yu Cheng.
They had moved to a new house, and this phone was left by Uncle Yuan. However, Jiang Mianmian had already left the new house’s phone number for Yu Cheng on his pager.
Seeing his daughter so thrilled to receive Yu Cheng’s call, Jiang Changhai pursed his lips and continued wrapping his daughter’s books with a hint of jealousy.
Yu Cheng was very satisfied with Jiang Mianmian’s reaction, and he chuckled, “That’s more like it. Today’s your first day at school, right? How was it? Are your classmates easy to get along with?”
“Pretty good. Although the classmates are all older than , they’re quite nice,” Jiang Mianmian replied with a grin.
Even though they’d only been together for a day, Jiang Mianmian could sense that most of the students in class were quite friendly towards her.
A few new classmates even treated her like a little sister, which was amusing to Jiang Mianmian, who was actually much older than them.
“That’s good, as long as no one bullies you,” Yu Cheng said with relief.
After all, Jiang Mianmian’s age was significantly different from her classmates, and he worried that Little Lamb might not have common ground with them and could be isolated. Hearing that her classmates were nice put him at ease.
“Oh, by the way, Brother Yu, did you see Uncle Fang’s letter?” Jiang Mianmian rembered Fang Zhiyuan’s letter and asked excitedly.
“I saw it. Knowing that Uncle is doing so well in Xiangcheng, I feel at ease too,” Yu Cheng replied calmly.
After finishing his training and seeing the letter from his uncle, Yu Cheng could feel his uncle’s genuine happiness from the letter.
Although his uncle had moved to Xiangcheng and was far away, and they only t a few tis a year, as long as his uncle was doing well and living comfortably, Yu Cheng was content with whatever ca.
His uncle’s early life was really tough, and now Yu Cheng just hoped his uncle could enjoy a happy and smooth later part of his life.
Hearing Yu Cheng’s sowhat cool voice, Jiang Mianmian thought he missed his uncle.
After all, when she first t Brother Yu, he was there to find his uncle, and at the ti, the two of them had not seen each other for many years.
