Chapter 886: Chapter 887: Extra Warmth Today
“Alright.” Jiang Mianmian imdiately saw through his little sche and naturally wouldn’t stop him.
Li Lan, on the other hand, was holding her sumr howork, and seeing that it was almost ti to eat, took her hat and howork and went ho.
After she left, Jiang Mianmian sat on the sofa, just about to call Yu Cheng when the phone rang.
She quickly picked it up: “Hello, Jiang Changhai’s residence.”
“You answered pretty fast.” Yu Cheng’s gentle voice ca through the phone.
“Hehe, Brother Yu, I picked up quickly because I was just about to call you, and then you called. What a coincidence.” Jiang Mianmian said cheerfully.
Yu Cheng: “It is quite the coincidence. I guessed around this ti you would probably be getting ho, right? How is it? Is being ho cooler than the Capital City?”
Jiang Mianmian: “Yeah, Brother Yu, I really am more accustod to the temperature here. But with a sun hat, I can still bear the sumr in the Capital City.”
“Speaking of sun hats, Tang Lin and Cheng An asked to thank you. When they were out checking stores in Haicheng and Shencheng City, they were lucky to have your invention. It’s even hotter there than in the Capital City.” Yu Cheng recalled Cheng An’s complaints and relayed them to Jiang Mianmian.
Jiang Mianmian expressed her sympathy: “They really have it tough.”
In the height of sumr, going out to handle various matters in preparation for the cake shop really is tough.
“Don’t worry, they’re tough guys. Enduring so hardship is nothing. Little Lamb, I’m starting closed training tomorrow. If you need to reach , just send a ssage to my beeper. When I see it, I’ll find a chance to get back to you.” Yu Cheng advised.
“Got it, Brother Yu. You focus on your training.” Jiang Mianmian promised.
They chatted for quite a while before reluctantly hanging up the phone.
Su Wanyu and Jiang Changhai finished watering the plants in the garden, saw it was getting late, and cleaned up as the family prepared to head to the state-run restaurant for dinner.
As soon as they stepped out, they saw Aunt Li and Wang Li’s Mother along with a few neighbors chatting in the alley.
When they saw Jiang Mianmian, they warmly greeted her.
“Mianmian, back from the Capital City? How was it? Did you have fun?” Wang Li’s Mother asked with a big smile.
“Yes, Aunt Wang, I had a great ti. Besides being hotter than here, everything else was wonderful.” Jiang Mianmian replied cheerfully.
“That’s good. You know, we’re all going to miss you when you go to school in the city.” Aunt Li said, holding Jiang Mianmian’s hand, full of reluctance.
“Don’t worry, Aunt Li. When I get a chance during breaks, I’ll co back with my parents to see you all.” Jiang Mianmian sweetly coaxed.
“That’s wonderful. Just don’t forget about us old neighbors.” Aunt Li replied happily to this.
After chatting with the neighbors for a short while, they parted ways and headed to the state-run restaurant.
Once out of the alley, Jiang Mianmian tugged at her mother’s hand and whispered: “Mom, why does it feel like Aunt Wang and Grandma Li are especially warm to today?”
Su Wanyu, with a slight air of pride, raised an eyebrow and said: “Oh darling, you’re not mistaken. They’re indeed extra warm to you! Your tutoring has made their children’s grades improve drastically. They’re practically idolizing you. During the half month you weren’t ho, every ti I went out, they’d ask when you’d be back.”
