The father-daughter duo went to the post office to collect the items Yu Cheng had sent and brought them back to their new house.
After deciding to take the entrance exam early, Jiang Mianmian continued to study as before, but Teacher Liu and ng Weidong now paid more attention to her than previously, which gave Jiang Mianmian a bit of pressure.
If she didn’t do well, wouldn’t the teachers and the principal be disappointed?
Fortunately, Jiang Changhai and Su Wanyu treated her as usual, without showing too much concern over her progress in studies.

Teacher Liu and ng Weidong looked at Jiang Mianmian’s clean, tidy test papers, nodded in great satisfaction, and gained even more confidence in her. They were no longer as anxious as before.
After that, they did not frequently check on Jiang Mianmian’s study progress anymore but let her study at her own pace.

After dinner, the family strolled leisurely toward Stone Bridge Village, chatting as they walked.

Jiang Changhai said, “I’ll talk to mom and dad about it tonight. Just don’t say anything.”

Upon arriving ho, Jiang Changhai whispered in the courtyard, “Wife, you and Mianmian go inside and stay there. Don’t co out.”
“Alright, talk to them well,” Su Wanyu fearing an argunt, gave a word of caution.
“I know, don’t worry.”
The Jiang family mbers liked to gather in the living room after dinner to chat and gossip about other families. Seeing the family of three co in, they greeted, “Hey, Eldest, you’re back!”
“Yeah, we’re back.”
Once his wife and daughter had entered the room and closed the door, Jiang Changhai started to speak, “Mom, dad, I have sothing to tell you.”
“What is it?” Zhang Guihua asked casually.
With the sa nonchalant tone, Jiang Changhai said, “I bought a house in town so days ago and plan to move into the city this week. The day after tomorrow, which is this weekend, you guys should co over to my new place for a warm-pot al.”
Upon hearing this, the entire room fell silent instantaneously, as all the Jiang family mbers looked at him as if they hadn’t quite grasped what he had just said.
