“Boss, the representative from X Research Institute said they don’t need our investnt from the Carter Clan and declined our eting.”
Oliver Ross was reporting beside him.
“We previously attempted to contact their representatives by phone, but they also refused.
The head office is really in a tough position; X Research Institute has never collaborated with outsiders, and this ti is no exception.”
Oliver Ross truly felt it was unfair for his boss. The Carter Automotive project was progressing smoothly, and just as both parties were about to collaborate, the head office suddenly asked the boss to take over a new project.
The boss initially didn’t want to agree, but Vice President Palr brought up the boss’s wife, saying that this new project was a dical project initiated by her back then.
Carlos saw that Carter Automotive was on track, so he agreed.
He just didn’t anticipate that no dostic research institute could complete this new project independently. Only by collaborating with the internationally renowned X Research Institute could they succeed; otherwise, the previously invested funds would be wasted.
Carlos made nurous inquiries and learned that the delegation from X Research Institute had arrived in the country. He attempted several tis to arrange a eting, but they all declined.
Just earlier, the boss went personally, yet they still refused.
The boss’s face wasn’t looking good after being shut out.
Oliver Ross was worried, and suddenly Carlos said, “Cancel my afternoon schedule, get an invitation; I want to attend the X Research Institute’s reception.”
With that, Carlos walked out of the elevator.
“Emily?
Why does Master Lowe call you his teacher?”
Evelyn Hanson looked utterly shocked.
“You heard wrong,
Master Lowe is my teacher.
Teacher, Evelyn and I want to join the fun inside.”
Emily Parker pulled Evelyn Hanson along. She had only recently discovered that rumors outside claid Master Lowe was her teacher. Not bothering to explain, she simply referred to Master Lowe as her teacher when outside.
Master Lowe wiped the sweat from his forehead, thinking if the teacher says so, it must be.
Emily Parker and Evelyn Hanson, under Master Lowe’s lead, entered the reception hall.
The reception hall was already bustling with guests filling every seat.
This reception was officially organized, and all invited were big nas in the dical field.
At this ti, the reception hadn’t officially started, but the guests were already greeting and exchanging pleasantries with each other.
When Father Parker and his daughter Sophie Parker entered with Adam Willow, Doctor Reed imdiately called Adam over.
Adam Willow was young and had never attended such high-profile receptions before.
Thankfully, Doctor Reed intentionally introduced him to other experts in the dical field.
Father Parker also engaged in small talk with relevant staff, accompanied by his daughter Sophie.
Sophie Parker wasn’t particularly interested in this type of reception. Her eyes wandered around the hall, knowing that the X Research Institute delegation might include Dr. X.
He was likely to be Adam Willow’s doctoral advisor in the future, so she wanted to leave a good impression if they t.

She filled the plate with lots of food and found a quiet corner to sit and eat.

“The people from X Research Institute have arrived, isn’t the one in front Dr. X?
I didn’t expect him to be so young.”
