Chapter 275: Chapter 275: The Wedding is Temporarily Canceled
Sang Nanfeng watched all of Sang Qiao’s actions from the back seat without making a sound.
The vehicle sped along the road, gradually veering away from the main thoroughfare and heading down a more secluded path.
Sang Qiao faintly sensed sothing was amiss and looked down once more to see that the ssage she had sent out over ten minutes ago hadn’t gone through, and the phone signal had been poor the entire ti.
She couldn’t send out any ssages, let alone make phone calls.
She lifted her head to glance at the driver’s seat where Sang Nanfeng was seated, “Is this the way to the hospital?”
Sang Nanfeng didn’t reply but instead floored the accelerator and drove into a yard. After parking the vehicle, he turned around to look at Sang Qiao.
anwhile, two people had already pulled the gates closed and, after locking them, stood silently by.
Sang Nanfeng, looking at Sang Qiao who was still sitting quietly in the back seat, laughed out loud,
“This indeed isn’t the hospital, Qiaoqiao, you must have guessed that it was all my ruse to lure you out here. I can’t reconcile with how you could be so lenient with them yet so cold towards .”
“Today is my wedding with Si Chenli. Take back first, and we can talk about everything else slowly.”
Sang Qiao kept her cool as she talked with him, avoiding the truth so as not to provoke him at this mont.
She wasn’t sure if there was anyone else in the yard, nor what Sang Nanfeng’s purpose was, and where Grandfather might be.
“I know as long as you have your past mories, there will always be hatred in your heart, which we can’t properly address. No worries, why not forget those unbearable mories and start over, alright?”
Sang Nanfeng wasn’t foolish; he knew that Qiaoqiao’s words at this mont were rely to appease him.
“First tell where Grandfather is?” Sang Qiao sowhat regretted not having changed into more practical clothes before she left the house today.
Hearing this, Sang Nanfeng almost wanted to laugh. Had he beco so despicable in Qiaoqiao’s heart?
“Qiaoqiao, do you really think so badly of ? He’s not just your grandfather, but mine as well. No matter what, I couldn’t possibly harm him.”
Sang Qiao felt sowhat relieved to know that Grandfather wasn’t in harm’s way, especially since her heart had raced when she received that call from a stranger.
“What do you want by bringing here?”
“Don’t be afraid, Qiaoqiao, I won’t hurt you. I simply can’t bear the pain of losing you as my sister. That master’s skills are excellent, and once you forget the past, our family can go back to how we were.”
Sang Nanfeng tried to keep his voice as gentle as possible, not wanting to cause too much anxiety for Qiaoqiao.
He was the first to pull open the car door and get out. The people who had been standing at the gate approached.
Sang Qiao, still sitting in the rear seat, was completely surrounded by people. She couldn’t count how many there were, but their faces were all serious and devoid of smiles, with commanding presence; clearly, all were professionally trained.
“Qiaoqiao, I don’t want to hurt you, just co with quietly,” Sang Nanfeng said with a smile, looking at the woman still sitting in the car. She looked very beautiful in her wedding dress.
It was a pity that even showing up at her wedding to offer his blessings felt like an intrusion.
Sang Qiao glanced outside the yard, knowing it would be easy for her to scale the fence with her skills, as long as she could deal with the bodyguards surrounding the car.
She sized up her surroundings looking for the right mont to make a dash for the fence.
However, no sooner had she stepped out of the car, a sharp pain coursed through her from next door. She suddenly felt weak all over and could only watch in dismay as Sang Nanfeng’s face beca blurrier before her eyes.
“I know that many drugs have no effect on you when inhaled, so I made sure to thoroughly research and ensure that this ti would be foolproof.”
Sang Qiao tried to open her eyes wide and stay alert, but her body felt like it had a thousand pounds weighing down on it, leaving her without a shred of strength. With her last ounce of energy, she clutched at Sang Nanfeng’s arm and spoke with difficulty, “No… don’t… forget… Si… Chen…li.”
The next second, she fell backward out of control. Sang Nanfeng reached out to support her, allowing her to lean on his arm as he picked her up and carried her toward the house.
Inside, a large bed was present, with an elderly person sitting beside it.
Sang Nanfeng laid Sang Qiao on the bed, “Tell her according to the script I wrote for you.”
“I know, don’t emphasize it again, just go out.” The elderly person urged impatiently.
Sang Nanfeng replied irritably but softened when he rembered that Qiaoqiao hadn’t forgotten Si Chenli even before she fainted, “Wait, I will add another script for you later, and also tell her that.”
“Be quick about it, don’t waste my ti.”
“I know, I will pay you double.” Sang Nanfeng took the paper and pen from the table and started to write down the part belonging to Si Chenli.
Sang Mansion
Upon learning of Sang Qiao’s disappearance, the place erupted into chaos. Mr. Sang Senior was also in a panic, having lost his cell phone, “On such an important day, Qiaoqiao wouldn’t just run off. Isn’t there surveillance? Go check it quickly.”
Servant: “We’re checking now.”
When the servants found out it was Sang Nanfeng who had taken Sang Qiao away, they were stumped because the latter half of that route was a rural path with no surveillance caras.
Their clues halting there, the entire family frantically called Sang Nanfeng.
Si Chenli had deployed all of his people to search, striding out and driving to that area to look for her himself.
“That beast Nanfeng, taking Qiaoqiao away today of all days, what on earth does he intend to do!”
Mr. Sang Senior was so angered he struggled to breathe; he should have stayed ho to monitor instead of going out to fetch the ceremonial firecrackers.
“Grandpa, please try to stay calm.” Sang Qingran patted the old man’s back to help him catch his breath.
Sang Siyang and Sang Shen were searching frantically outside; they regretted not noticing sooner that sothing was off with their eldest brother. They should have co earlier today and kept a closer watch on him.
Everyone mobilized to search for most of the day, and the guests at the wedding venue also started sensing that sothing was wrong. Why was it taking so long to fetch the bride?
The Si Family mbers began to worry as well, with Mrs. Si frowning, “Could sothing have happened?”
“Could Sang Qiao have dumped our Chenli again?” Old Sir Si was so infuriated that his whiskers bristled and his eyes narrowed. How could the bride not be fetched on the wedding day? He knew sothing was wrong the mont he thought about it.
“Impossible, stop talking nonsense. I will call to ask.” Old Madam Si was anxious and had no ti to address the old man’s harsh words.
After finishing the call with Chenli and hearing that sothing had happened to Sang Qiao, today’s wedding was temporarily canceled.
Old Madam Si trembled, stepped forward, and announced into the microphone, “Today’s wedding is temporarily canceled. We apologize for wasting your ti. Everyone, please go back.”
Upon hearing this, the guests below burst into an uproar, and even Old Sir Si and the others were shocked.
The wedding canceled?
“Why has it suddenly been called off?”
“Yeah, why cancel it? They just went to fetch the bride, didn’t they?”
“Mr. Si looked so happy just a mont ago; why wouldn’t he have brought the person over? Could it be that Miss Sang Qiao backed out of the marriage?”
