Catherine panicked and imdiately stopped the police: "How is this possible?"

"Officer, is there so misunderstanding here?"

"My sister could never be involved in a kidnapping case!"

Police: "We are handling this in accordance with the law; please step aside."

Vivian remained very calm.

She rely gave Catherine a glance and left behind a note: "The password is our birthday."

After saying that, she followed the police away.

Catherine was anxious but could only helplessly watch Vivian being taken away.

Yet she was still completely confused about what had happened.

"What password, what does it an?"

Vivian only left that ssage, leaving Catherine to figure out the rest by herself.

Catherine was so anxious she spun around on the spot, and suddenly, she touched her shoulder.

That’s when she rembered that to express gratitude to Vivian for treating her to a al, she had helped carry her bag on the way back.

Vivian’s bag was still on her!

Could it be...

Imagining sothing, Catherine imdiately looked down and started rummaging through the bag.

Soon, Catherine found the phone Vivian had left in the bag.

If the bag had been carried by Vivian herself just now, the police would have taken it as evidence.

So Vivian intentionally left the phone behind; she always rembered her bag was with Catherine, afraid to say more, so she just left a few words for Catherine.

The password, could it be the phone’s password?

Carrying a try-it-and-see ntality, Catherine quickly entered their shared birthday as the lock screen password, and sure enough, the phone was unlocked smoothly.

Catherine understood what Vivian ant. Does she want her to use the phone to find help?

A lawyer, a lawyer!

What they need most now is a lawyer!

But Catherine was quickly stunned; she had no connections, and tonight she had left The Sinclair Family alone, without even money to hire a lawyer, how could she help her?

After hesitating, Catherine could only call the person she was most familiar with.

The phone rang for only a second before being picked up, followed by an urgently angry voice: "Vivian!"

"You actually let out of the dark room?"

"Speak! Where did you take Catherine?"

"Really bold! Do you really think you can run sowhere my Sinclair Family can’t find her?"

"Or do you think with Catherine missing, you can return to The Sinclair Family—"

Catherine interrupted his fury: "Brother, it’s , Catherine."

"Vivian is in trouble."

After hanging up Elias’s call, Catherine felt very conflicted.

She sighed: "You clearly want her back, yet you keep hurting her over and over."

"Or are you just treating her and like pawns to be traded for The Sinclair Family’s benefit?"

Thinking that Vivian might not want Elias’s help, Catherine felt a little guilty.

"I can’t be blad, because I truly have no other way."

"Getting you out quickly is most important now."

Just as Catherine planned to head to the police station, Vivian’s phone rang again.

She looked at the caller ID on the screen, hesitated for a few seconds before answering: "Hello...?"

The other party paused for several seconds before calmly speaking directly: "You’re not Vivian."

"Who are you?"

"Where is Vivian?"

The voice was so cold that Catherine shivered fiercely.

Even through the phone, she could sense that the man on the other end was extrely difficult to deal with.

The caller ID showed ’Big Debtor’, making Catherine regret answering the call. She hung up quickly and shut off the phone without saying a word.

Afterward, no matter how repeatedly he called back, she didn’t answer.

Upon arriving at the police station, Catherine quickly reunited with Elias, who had also arrived.

"Brother."

Elias glared at Catherine: "I’ll deal with you and Vivian later!"

At this mont, Vivian had sat on the cold bench in the interrogation room for an hour.

No one interrogated her.

She was just handcuffed to a cold and cramped chair, facing a dim room alone, not even knowing how much ti had passed.

By now, Vivian’s waist was sore, and her butt was so numb that she couldn’t feel anything.

And because she had been sitting for so long, her stomach was starting to feel subtly uncomfortable.

As she was feeling unable to endure any longer, the door banged open loudly, and finally soone ca in.

"Speak, why did you kidnap Miss Autumn Chamberlain?"

Vivian felt it was laughable, "Officer, do you have any evidence to directly convict ?"

"I did not kidnap Autumn Chamberlain!"

"I thought I was just cooperating with your investigation, and yet you treat like a criminal — you need to show the actual evidence for that, right?"

The person across furrowed their brow, slamd the table impressively: "Austin Grant directly accused you of being a suspect, what else is there to say?"

"Today, during the incident, it was exactly a coincidence that, because of your deliberate trouble, you led Miss Autumn Chamberlain’s old servant away, giving your accomplice the chance and opportunity to commit the cri."

"Speak!"

"If you don’t tell the truth, you’ll sit on the cold bench for the whole night!"

The Grants accused her?

Who?

Austin Grant or Austin?

In this household, only these two people could take charge now. Vivian Sinclair even suspected that they were outside that black glass, surveilling this room, watching her.

"Just because I was also at the hospital, you can pin this on ?"

"Alright then, can you tell what my motive would be?"

Vivian Sinclair had beco the one conducting the interrogation.

This made the officer across from her quite displeased.

They had truly underestimated this woman.

Staying so composed, facing their authority and still being able to counter so calmly under pressure.

But knowing that Vivian was nearing her physical limits, the officer directly stated, "The old servant said this personally."

"They said you harbored resentnt against Autumn Chamberlain for scheming against you before, so you used the pretense of returning items to kidnap and torture her."

"Do you have any defense against this?"

Vivian Sinclair: "So tell , did I not actually return the items?"

"A small three-bedroom, a large flat. And a bracelet worth fifty thousand!"

"It’s also a symbol for the future matron of The Grant Family."

"If I didn’t truly intend to return these things, if it was just a guise for kidnapping an elderly woman to torture her, does this make sense?"

"Officer, I know I am under significant suspicion due to being directly nad by The Grants."

"But please try to determine this fairly from my perspective?"

Vivian’s words made the two officers exchange a look, and they quickly stood up and left the room together.

A few minutes later, Austin Grant followed them in.

Seeing it was indeed him, Vivian’s eyes instantly filled with coldness and anger.

She had no idea when Austin had extended his reach so far.

Knowing he was deliberately targeting her, Vivian felt her heart sink completely.

She hoped that Catherine would receive her call and successfully find soone to help, otherwise Vivian truly didn’t know how she’d get out of this.

Because only the one who truly wrongs you knows just how wronged you are.

Just like Austin Grant, who nodded at the officers and said, "I want to speak with her alone."

Then those two actually left!

"Might as well make it clear. After all, this is considered a family matter."

"Don’t take too much ti."

One of them patted Austin on the shoulder, obviously knowing Vivian didn’t deserve to be held here.

Once only the two of them were left in the room, Austin approached, placing his hands on the table and leaning in close to Vivian’s face: "You’ve ended up in my hands after all."

"Vivian Sinclair, do you really think you can escape?"

"You even left the bracelet behind!"

"Vivian Sinclair, do you really want to leave The Grant Family so badly?"

"Fine!"

"Let’s see how long you can keep your obstinacy!"

"Without my say-so, not even Elias can get you out of here!"

Vivian glared at him indignantly: "Austin Grant, are you even human?"

"That is your own grandmother!"

"She’s already at death’s door, with not much ti left. Now, she’s been kidnapped, and you’re just using this to hold here."

"You dare talk about filial piety while acting like a heartless opportunist!"

Austin grabbed Vivian’s face: "Even now you’re still being stubborn?"

"Let tell you the truth."

"Elias is also at the police station now."

"Including your family’s own people, like Catherine Sinclair; they’re willing to pay a million-dollar bond to get you out."

"Even your family’s legal team has just arrived."

"But as long as I’m standing here today, no one’s taking you away!"

"Do you understand?"

With that, Austin leaned close to Vivian’s ear, his lips grazing her delicate and clean earlobe.

In that mont, he admitted his heart skipped a beat.

Unlike the chaotic passion he felt with Zoe,

This desire ca from the depths of his heart.

Turns out, his feelings for her weren’t quite so innocent...

Austin confessed, not knowing when it started, but his heart had begun craving more for her.

He wanted to possess her.

He wanted to dominate her!

He wanted her to be the obedient wife she once was, waiting for him to return ho every day.

The re thought of that scene was the only thing that could calm his empty heart.

Therefore, even though he knew she wasn’t responsible for Grandma’s kidnapping, he shalessly manipulated the situation.

He just wanted to keep her forcibly by his side.

"Vivian, let’s not divorce, alright?"

"Let’s move out of the old house and live like we used to."

"I don’t even bla you for losing the child."

"After all, there’s plenty of ti ahead for us to have more children that belong to us..."

"As long as you listen to , I’ll get you out of here imdiately."

Vivian Sinclair: "Are you finished?"

"If you’re done, let tell you my answer—"

"Austin Grant, unless one of us dies, it’s divorce between us!"

With that, she forcefully turned her face clamped by Austin, then fiercely bit down on the webbing of his hand.
