Julian rcer was in no better shape than Judith Caldwell.

He wasn’t just pelted with rotten eggs.

Stinking vegetable leaves and rotting pig entrails were also hanging off his body.

The sight was both pathetic and hilarious.

The foul odor shot straight to Julian rcer’s head, and like Judith Caldwell, he imdiately threw up.

Afterward, he was practically insane with rage.

He was over fifty and had never been so humiliated in his life.

He furiously tore the vegetable leaves and stinking, rotten pig entrails from his body.

Glaring at the crowd of gawkers, he roared.

"You lunatics! What do you think you’re doing?"

"We’re giving you a taste of rotten eggs and pig entrails! No need to thank us."

"Vile woman, selling your daughter for glory!"

"Your stench is worse than these rotten eggs and entrails!"

"You people are the scum of society."

"..."

Once they’d thrown all the eggs and entrails, the crowd scattered in an instant.

Judith Caldwell and Julian rcer shrieked hysterically at their retreating backs.

From an inconspicuous electric car parked nearby.

Adrian Sutton and Claire rcer couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the sight of Julian rcer and his wife in their pathetic state.

It was especially satisfying to see how utterly crazed they looked in their fury.

Claire rcer stared at their utterly wretched figures and said in a low voice.

"I didn’t expect to see such a spectacular show the mont I arrived at the rcer residence."

Adrian Sutton smiled and asked her, "A pleasant sight, isn’t it?"

"It’s definitely an unexpected surprise."

Noticing her mood seed to dip slightly, Adrian Sutton asked.

"Claire, you’re not going soft on them, are you?"

Claire rcer shook her head. "I won’t."

’Deep down, I lived with Julian rcer and Judith Caldwell for so many years.’

’And before Scarlett Jewel returned, I always believed they were my birth parents.’

’I used to have so affection for them.’

’Even though they treated poorly, even though they used as Oscar rcer’s personal blood bank all these years...’

’I never hated them for it.’

’At most, I just found their attitude toward so suffocating that all I wanted was to escape.’

’But ever since they tried to marry off to Mr. Bower—the man whose three wives all died...’

’I could no longer see them as parents.’

’No parent would throw their daughter into a fiery pit, into an abyss.’

’They don’t care if I live or die. All they want is to use my entire life to pave the way for the rcer Family’s success.’

’They may have raised , but all the blood I’ve given to Oscar rcer should be more than enough to repay them for that.’

’I don’t owe them anything anymore. So no, I won’t go soft.’

’They deserved getting pelted with rotten eggs and pig entrails.’

Covered in filth, Julian rcer and Judith Caldwell returned to the rcer villa.

When Oscar rcer saw his parents’ pathetic state...

...and caught the unbelievably foul stench wafting off them, he nearly gagged on the spot.

The room was instantly filled with the nauseating odor. Oscar rcer’s brow knitted, and he quickly covered his nose and mouth in disgust.

The sll was so overpowering he hardly dared to breathe.

"Mom, Dad, what happened to you?"

"’What happened?’ Judith Caldwell said through gritted teeth.

"The mont we got to the front door, a mob of lunatics threw rotten eggs and pig entrails all over us."

Julian rcer added with an indignant expression, "I have no idea where those maniacs ca from..."

"I bet that little bitch Claire rcer hired them," Judith Caldwell said resentfully.

"Never mind that the little bitch landed us in the police station for three days and three nights, but we co ho only to get covered in this stench..."

"I won’t let her get away with this."

"Mom, Dad, just stop talking and go get cleaned up."

The sll was giving him a splitting headache; Oscar rcer couldn’t take it anymore.

Just as Julian rcer and Judith Caldwell were about to head upstairs to wash, Claire rcer walked in.

The mont she stepped inside, she covered her nose and mouth, her brow furrowed as she feigned ignorance and asked.

"Why does it stink so much in here?"

’It really was appallingly slly.’

’The reek of rotten eggs mixed with decaying pig entrails...’

’The pungent odor shot straight to her head, and Claire herself nearly gagged.’

’You had to hand it to them, those onlookers were vicious.’

’Couldn’t they sll the stench themselves?’

"Mr. rcer, Mrs. rcer, what happened?"

"How did you get covered in rotten eggs?"

When Julian rcer and Judith Caldwell saw her, their expressions turned even fouler than the stench in the room.

"You little bitch! You actually have the nerve to co back..."

"Did you hire people to throw eggs at us?"

Claire rcer said lightly, "You can’t just say whatever you want."

"Your own actions sparked public outrage online. People threw rotten eggs at you. What does that have to do with ?"

Oscar rcer shot back, "How can you say it has nothing to do with you?"

"If you hadn’t given that interview, exaggerating and slandering Mom and Dad, would these braindead netizens have co here to throw eggs at them?"

"Exaggerating and slandering?" Claire rcer scoffed.

"Oscar rcer, I’d like to ask you—what part of what I said wasn’t true?"

"The fact that they tried to force to marry Mr. Bower—that’s true, isn’t it?"

"The fact that they locked in a dark, sealed room—that’s true, isn’t it?"

"Since you claim I’m a slanderer, then go ahead. Find so evidence and sue ."

"You..." Oscar rcer’s breath caught in his throat. He then ground out through his teeth.

"So what if Mom and Dad did those things?"

"You were kicked out of the Sinclair Family. Do you really think you can still marry into a good family?"

"Whether or not I can marry into a good family has nothing to do with you," Claire rcer said, shooting him a glare.

"Now, if you two would please go wash up, the whole house stinks to high heaven."

Judith Caldwell shot her a venomous glare, then went upstairs with Julian rcer to get clean.

Once the two of them had cleaned up, Claire rcer tossed a docunt onto the table.

"I ca here for one thing today."

Julian rcer’s exhausted face crumpled as he read the title: "Agreent to Terminate Adoptive Relationship."

"Claire rcer, what is the aning of this?"

Claire rcer replied coldly, "It ans exactly what it says on the docunt."

Judith Caldwell snatched up the "Agreent to Terminate Adoptive Relationship," glanced at it, and then scoffed.

Because of the scene Claire rcer had caused, not only had she been stuck at the police station for three whole days, but she had also co ho to be pelted with rotten eggs.

She had never suffered so much in her life, nor had she ever been so utterly humiliated.

How could she possibly let Claire rcer go so easily?

"You want to terminate the relationship?" Judith Caldwell snorted. "In your dreams."

"We worked so hard to raise you."

"For all these years, the food you ate, the roof over your head, the clothes on your back—it was all paid for with the rcer Family’s money."

"Now that it’s finally ti for you to repay the rcer Family, you want to cut ties with us?"

"I’d like to know where on earth you think you’ll find a deal that good."

Claire rcer sneered, "What, are you still thinking of marrying off to that Mr. Bower?"
