And so, in less than three minutes, the only ones left in the grand hall were Claire rcer, Gavin Sinclair, and Scarlett Jewel.
Gavin Sinclair stared at Claire rcer, his face dark, and asked coldly.
"What is all this nonsense?"
He refused to believe Claire rcer truly wanted to divorce him.
She had fought so hard to beco Mrs. Sinclair, a position coveted by every woman in Rhonia. How could she possibly be willing to let it go?
"Gavin, let’s just talk about this calmly. What couple doesn’t have disagreents?"
With that, Scarlett Jewel turned to Claire rcer and explained softly.
"My relationship with Gavin isn’t what you think."
"We’re just good friends now. You’ve really misunderstood."

Claire rcer’s gaze, dripping with sarcasm, fell on Scarlett Jewel as she let out a sneer.

"Wasn’t it thrilling, carrying on your affair with him in the hospital room right next to mine?"

Scarlett Jewel’s face instantly turned a shade of mottled crimson at her words.
She bit her lip, looking as if she had suffered so terrible injustice, and lowered her eyes without another word.
’What could she say?’
’The legitimate wife had caught her in the act. What was there to say?’
Gavin Sinclair decided to drop the act as well.
’She’d found out anyway, so there was no point in pretending anymore.’
’He had enjoyed the thrill of having her wrapped around his little finger.’
’But now... she had torn away all pretense, and he found it boring.’
"Claire rcer, even if Scarlett and I did sothing to wrong you, do you have to be so aggressive?"
"Look at yourself. Do you look anything like the wife of a magnate should?"
"So, a magnate’s wife should just serve her husband like a maid every day, let him fool around with other won, and just keep her mouth shut?"
"And when he brings his mistress ho, she should just obediently step aside for them?"
Gavin Sinclair was speechless.
Claire rcer’s expression was grave, her eyes ice-cold as she stared at Gavin Sinclair and said flatly, "Just sign the papers!"
’She didn’t want to look at him for a second longer.’

Seeing that she wasn’t just throwing a tantrum, Gavin Sinclair felt a jolt of surprise. He narrowed his eyes, staring intently at Claire rcer.
After a long mont, he finally asked, "So you really want to divorce ?"
"Is that so surprising?" Claire rcer said with a self-deprecating scoff. "Then again, I was your simp, after all."
"For two years, I gave up my freedom, my dignity, and myself to take care of you... and what did I get in the end?"
"So please, just sign the papers. I don’t want to waste any more of our ti."

Gavin Sinclair didn’t move. His eyes, dark and churning with fury, were fixed on her.
Having been defied by Claire rcer yet again today, Gavin Sinclair was already seething with rage.
The simp who used to hang on his every word, who ca when called and left when dismissed, was actually demanding a divorce.
This was tantamount to him, the great heir of the Sinclair Family, being dumped by a woman.
He felt his precious pride had been gravely insulted.
If word of this got out, how could he ever show his face in public again?
The more Gavin Sinclair thought about it, the angrier he beca. He turned and stord out, slamming the door with a deafening BANG.
Only Claire rcer and Scarlett Jewel were left in the living room.

Claire rcer sneered.
"You knew how Gavin Sinclair felt about you, so you followed in your car and deliberately caused that accident."
"You deliberately stayed in the hospital room next to mine to have your affair, and you deliberately instigated him to pressure about switching rooms..."
"Everything you did, wasn’t it all just to make divorce him?"
"The car accident was just that—an accident. You shouldn’t make wild accusations, Miss rcer."
Scarlett Jewel dropped her wronged expression, the corners of her lips curling into a smirk.
"Besides, if I wanted Gavin to divorce you, it would only take a single word from . Do you really think I’d need to go to all this trouble?"
"You enjoy the process," Claire said.
"Making a fool out of gives you a sense of accomplishnt."
Scarlett Jewel stared at Claire rcer, her eyes smiling, but said nothing.

Seeing Scarlett Jewel’s continued silence, Claire rcer knew all her suspicions were correct.
"I have to admit, Miss Jewel, you’re quite cunning. No wonder Gavin Sinclair could never get over you."
"Now your goal is achieved. Congratulations."

Hearing this, Claire rcer scoffed. ’She really had the nerve to say sothing like that.’
"With your status, Miss Jewel, I imagine it won’t be so easy to marry into the Sinclair Family, Rhonia’s wealthiest clan, will it?"
"You don’t need to worry your pretty little head about that, Miss rcer. When Gavin and I get married, you’re welco to attend our wedding."
"After all, you and Gavin only ever got a marriage license. You never even had a wedding."
"Oh, right. I even heard that your face was Photoshopped into your wedding photos with Gavin."
Scarlett Jewel was beaming, flushed with success and brimming with confidence. Where was the slightest hint of the wronged woman from before?

With that, Claire rcer turned and went upstairs.
Scarlett Jewel wasn’t angry. Instead, she watched Claire rcer’s retreating back and curled her lips into a triumphant smirk.
