Captulo 974: Chapter 934: Return to New York

In late April, a blue and white private jet successfully arrived at New York Airport.

As Lu Liang stepped out of the cabin, he saw that a crowd had already gathered at the foot of the boarding stairs, including Delii’s Hilt, Harris, JPMorgan Chase’s Wilson, and Zhang Yang, the head of Tianxing Finance’s US office, along with their entourage.

He suddenly laughed; after two years, he was once again stepping onto the soil of North Arica, and now he was no longer alone.

"BOSS, welco to New York.”

Harris bead, walking briskly forward. His choice of words was careful, and he humorously saluted Lu Liang, like a soldier receiving a general’s review.

Lu Liang couldn’t help but chuckle, greeted everyone, and finally turned his gaze to Wilson: “How’s work been going lately?”

It’s been twenty-eight days since the last circuit breaker in the US stocks. During this period, a lot has happened. Besides Delii obtaining everything needed for its developnt, Wilson officially succeeded Damon as the new global CEO of JPMorgan Chase.

Another event also prompted Lu Liang’s visit to the US.

After Wilson took charge of JPMorgan Chase, he advanced the project of acquiring Tesla. Within two weeks, he assisted Tianxing Finance to complete the second audit of Tesla, unaffected by Tesla’s acquisition of Twitter, putting the acquisition progress back on track.

To reassure Lu Liang, he planned to cut off his retreat entirely, assisting General Motors in acquiring Tesla as his first pledge.

Even though Delii obtained the resources needed for developnt and Morgan leaned towards Tianxing, these were only on paper strength, impressive enough to sound formidable but not enough to inspire fear.

Just like the US Army with 11 aircraft carriers won’t invoke fear unless they are sailed out occasionally to intervene in foreign wars; the sa principle applies.

Tesla, which has been difficult to acquire, is the best test stone. If they can successfully assist General Motors in acquiring it, it would be equivalent to the booming sound that echoed over Lop Nur in ’64.

Lu Liang thought Wilson made sense. They needed to accomplish sothing to showcase their strength, and he also took it as an opportunity to et old friends. .

"We’re holding the first acquisition eting tomorrow morning; do you want to attend as an observer?” Wilson respectfully asked.

He hoped Lu Liang could attend and added, “Mr. Flannery, and Musk will be participating.”

Lu Liang pondered, realizing he had nothing on his schedule for the next morning, so he agreed casually: “I’ll go and have a look then.”

"BOSS, please, we have already prepared a welcoming banquet for you,” Harris interjected tactfully, his face full of a flattering smile.

"Let’s go.” Lu Liang nodded slightly, heading towards the back seat of the car with its door already open.

A luxury motorcade drove directly from the tarmac, leaving the airport for the wealthiest district of Manhattan in New York.

Passing through the Bronx District, where residents are mainly descendants of Africa and Latin Arica, the impact of the Black Lives Matter movent has led to wooden boards being nailed onto the glass doors of shops on both sides of the street to prevent looting during chaos.

"Look, this brilliant skyline and these damn black people,” Harris laughed heartily, introducing the changes in New York over these months as if he were a tour guide.

Although he disliked black people, he loved chaos more because only chaos can break the stagnant market and allow them to exploit the opportunity.

"The environnt has worsened.” Following his gaze, Lu Liang instinctively compared it to the street scenes from two years ago in his mory, increasingly desolate and chaotic.

Although it’s a well-known slum in New York, such circumstances shouldn’t occur in a country as dominant as this.

Just relying on a rich heritage from the ancestors, if such conditions occurred in any country, it would likely have fallen into internal turmoil by now.

"BOSS, isn’t a poorer environnt good for us?”

Harris grinned, “According to data released by PwC, total public healthcare spending in the US will reach 720 billion US Dollars in the second quarter this year, equivalent to the combined total of the third and fourth quarters of last year.”

A portion of this money would flow into their pockets, and as the disease rages and the number of infected increases, governnt healthcare expenditure will escalate, and the amount of money flowing into their pockets will also increase.

"You’re right,” Lu Liang also laughed.

The vehicle quickly departed the edge of the Bronx District, entering the Manhattan District, with skyscrapers coming into view.

In contrast to the dilapidated and desolate Bronx District, the Manhattan District seed like another world—prosperous and affluent, with frequent security posts safeguarding the safety of shops and pedestrians.

The worse the environnt, the poorer the poor, and the richer the rich, making it a good thing, especially for those like us, who have extended their reach into the health insurance system, it’s even better.

One reason health insurance could beco one of the four major economic entities is because a single illness or surgery can push a middle-class family to the brink of bankruptcy. The harsh reaping is best exemplified by a truly capitalist country.

Soon, the motorcade arrived at the Atlanta Hotel, an otherwise ordinary five-star hotel that seed a bit unimpressive in the tropolis of New York.

The hotel’s only advantage might be that it’s wholly owned by Delii, which, practically speaking, ans it’s Lu Liang’s property.

Last month’s stock market circuit breaker led to a halving of the market value of many companies, causing the stock equity mortgaged to banks or institutions to beco insolvent, necessitating additional margin calls.

Harris generously extended a helping hand, assisting many companies through their crises, and in the anti increasing a lot of fixed assets for Delii.
