"A lockdown is coming?"

The next morning, as soon as Lu Liang stepped out of his house, he received a call from Wang Xiaofeng.

As the central core city of Central China, Wuhan has a permanent population of over 11 million.

Simple regulation alone cannot effectively curb the spread of the disease, and strict lockdown asures might beco an inevitable choice. .

Upon hearing this, Lu Liang imdiately looked at the governnt’s newly updated data, and his brows furrowed deeply.

Because according to public data, the number of infections was just under four hundred, which suggested that the actual situation was not optimistic.

Lu Liang said in a deep voice, "Transfer 30% of the project funds to China Construction and Huazhong First Construction, and have them dismiss the construction workers."

"Let’s not put the phase-two factory into production this year. The subsequent trial production steps can wait until this crisis is over."

The statistical figures may not be entirely accurate, but Wang Xiaofeng’s words were definitely reliable.

There are still several hundred people at the construction site, and if the city locks down, these people’s food, drink, and shelter will all beco issues.

Moreover, the New Year is approaching, and going ho for the New Year is an indelible obsession for almost every Chinese.

If they were to be locked at the site during the New Year, Lu Liang couldn’t imagine what chaos might ensue, even though they were on the construction side, the place itself was under their jurisdiction.

With the idea that solving a problem before it arises is better than dealing with it later, it was better to pay the project funds in advance, supervise the construction party in issuing wages, so they could go ho and reunite with their family.

Wang Xiaofeng nodded, and then ntioned the health check project that Lu Liang had ordered last ti; the Su City production base was currently undergoing a comprehensive inspection, and over half had been checked, with no infections found so far.

Lu Liang nodded slightly and then said, "From now on, do this once a day, and it would be best to restrict the people entering and exiting the park as much as possible to prevent the virus from intrusion and ensure no impact on the fourth quarter’s production tasks."

After he finished speaking, he added, "Let’s also supplent an additional 100 each day per person. And make advance preparations for overti during the New Year in case the pandemic gets completely out of control, causing closures and production shutdowns next year."

If there was any other option, the higher-ups would definitely not resort to a lockdown, after all, it’s a ga city with tens of millions of people.

Even if they don’t mind the foreign dia’s criticism, feeding and providing for so many people is a big issue.

If they really decide on a lockdown at that ti, it ans things have reached the brink of being out of control, and there’s no choice but to do so.

At that ti, if you allow the park workers to go ho, they might not be able to return smoothly the next year, and going ho would also cause trouble for local governnts everywhere.

Therefore, for the safety of the employees and to ensure that next year’s production tasks proceed smoothly, if a lockdown is chosen, it would be best to have them all stay in the park during the New Year.

"Then regarding the funds?" Wang Xiaofeng asked cautiously.

Lu Liang said, "Let’s double this year’s annual party budget, but we won’t hold the annual party. Instead, see if we can organize a Chinese New Year Gala inside the park."

Wang Xiaofeng smiled, already 120% confident that they could keep people back.

Because this year’s annual party budget was already considerable, arranged with a minimum of 5,000 per person.

Doubling that would be at least 10,000 per person.

Adding the triple pay for New Year overti, each person would get at least an additional month and a half to two months’ inco, which should quell their hosickness.

Finally, Wang Xiaofeng asked again, "Mr. Lu, how are Mr. Hu and the others doing now?"

"Still okay."

"That’s good."

After ending the call, Lu Liang thought of Hu Weiwei and couldn’t help but sigh lightly, "Should be alright, I guess?"

He wasn’t sure himself, because after Hu Weiwei and the others arrived in New York, Wilson had people take over them.

Wilson said that if they trusted him, they should hand over the people to him and not ask where they went or when they would be cured. He would use all his relationships to do his utmost to save them, hoping Lu Liang would understand his approach.

Lu Liang had no choice but to agree.

Soon, the vehicle arrived at Central Dragon River Road.

Lu Liang looked at the n and won waiting at the traffic light outside the window, and couldn’t help narrowing his eyes, muttering softly, "Damn it!"

Those pleasing faces of the past had nearly disappeared, each wearing the sa masks, and more, even wearing protective goggles.

The leisure activity of driving around to see girls might have beco a thing of the past.

Sun Zheyuan followed his gaze and sighed lightly, "Maybe masks will beco the norm in the future."

Xiangjiang had begun comprehensive inspections yesterday, and although it was less than a tenth completed, three cases had already been found.

Perhaps because current transportation was too developed, the spread was much faster than that of 2003.

The whole city was on alert at once.

Even their company had begun ergency disinfection at midnight yesterday, and all entering and exiting personnel today needed temperature checks.

As for those around Lu Liang, they perford a complete blood count test once a day.

However, heard the routine testing technology was coming out soon, in a few days, there would be no need for blood draws; a spit test would suffice.

Lu Liang remained silent, reached the parking lot, got out of the car, suddenly asked, "How did the task I assigned yesterday go?"

East Country has too many people after all, if it breaks out fully, dical equipnt, and dical supplies will definitely face shortages.

Lu Liang was inherently resistant to those from Red Cross; giving them money and letting them dispose of it was no different from throwing it into the water, at least you’d hear a splash.

To ensure middlen don’t profit and to help those in real need genuinely, Lu Liang planned to make direct purchases and then dispatch a special convoy to transport them directly to Wuhan.

Sun Zheyuan shook his head with a bitter smile, "Not going smoothly. The 10,000 ventilators we ordered will take at least two months before delivery."

"Two months? By the ti the equipnt arrives, people will have turned to ash." Lu Liang frowned, then asked, "Can’t we expedite it by paying extra?"

Sun Zheyuan said, "We’ve already upped it by 20%, but it seems soone got wind that ventilators would beco a hot item and pre-reserved 30,000 units from all major manufacturers."

This year isn’t over yet, so we can’t say for sure, but last year the global output for ventilators was only about 185,000 units.

And the year before, it was 172,000 units, though it grows steadily each year, that growth is not enough to prompt manufacturers to expand production capacity for it.

Even if now with the disease spreading, manufacturers decide to increase production, from project approval to capacity explosion would take at least two months.

Moreover, soone pre-ordered 30,000 units, essentially monopolizing all major manufacturers’ fourth-quarter capacity which ans we can only book next year’s first-quarter capacity.

Simply put, money can’t buy it right now.

"Those bastards, really don’t do anything decent." Lu Liang’s face was grim, knowing those people had ordered the capacity.

He took a deep breath to slightly calm himself and suddenly asked, "Regarding the Cheung Shing port project, did Harris assign personnel for supervision?"

Sun Zheyuan was taken aback, unsure, said, "There should be, after all, Delii invested 850 million US Dollars, basic supervision should be in place."

Lu Liang glanced at the ti, half an hour before the Hong Kong stock market opens; he walked to the office and said as he walked, "Tell Wen Chao, as long as the Hang Seng Index opens underwater, go and absorb shares. If the index doesn’t drop, stop; if it keeps dropping, keep absorbing.

Also, don’t use hidden seats, directly go public, let the market know it’s us saving the market and HSBC is smashing it.

I’ll head there first, make a call."

After instructing, Lu Liang entered the office and closed the door, dialed Harris’s number: "Regarding port business data, do our people have the authority to access it?"

Harris paused, though not understanding Lu Liang’s intentions, hastily said, "No authority, but sothing can be arranged."

"What about changing the destination of shipnts?" Lu Liang asked again.

"There’s so difficulty operationally, but I can solve this issue." Harris seed to guess Lu Liang’s intention, a hint of excitent flashed across his eyes, eager for chaos.

Over the past year, aside from when Delii was first established and the lawsuit against the IRS, most of the ti, he had been living rather repressed.

Moreover, as Wall Street’s ’Anti-Lu Movent’ intensified, Delii found itself in an extrely awkward position.

The middle-class and high-inco groups simply looked down on them, let alone the rich, they could only deal with those in gray areas.

Although the na ’Mafia Bank’ sounds intimidating, how much money do those mixing in the underworld actually have?

Lu Liang chuckled softly, seemingly understanding Harris’s thoughts: "Pull out the data, once you find ventilators being transported, regardless of the destination or who the buyer is, bring them all to East Country."

Since conventional thods couldn’t purchase these goods, it was ti to employ so unconventional thods; after all, he had this prerogative.

"Yes, boss, task guaranteed to be completed."

Harris smiled with squinted eyes, already envisioning court disputes and battles of wits and courage.

He savored the thrill of dancing on the blade,

Even if it ant being crushed to powder, it was better than being mundane.
