"Do you have any dietary restrictions now?"

Lu Liang didn’t have the habit of foolishly waiting for others, so he took Su Wanyu to the restaurant on the second floor and chose a spot by the window.

"I don’t have any dietary restrictions..."

Su Wanyu was halfway through speaking when her face suddenly turned red, "It’s just that I felt a bit nauseous during the first few months, but it’s much better now."

She had clearly already accepted the strange looks from others, and had even prepared herself to beco a single mother.

But seeing Lu Liang, she suddenly faltered, as if having soone to rely on ant she didn’t have to face everything on her own.

"Then let’s have sothing light," Lu Liang said with a smile, ordered a few light dishes, and then handed the nu to the waiter.

Looking at Su Wanyu’s slightly rounder cheeks, he couldn’t help but smile, revealing a hint of a grin.

"Why are you staring at ?"

Su Wanyu glared at him fiercely, her ears burning red as if she was back to when she and Lu Liang had first t.

"It’s been a long ti, I missed you, wanted to take a good look at you."

"Have I gained a lot of weight?"

"You were always thin, now you look much better."

Su Wanyu was quite tall, standing at 171 cm, with her weight hovering around 105 pounds for years. Although there were sayings in China about beauties weighing less than a hundred pounds, it also depended on height and body shape.

In the past, she was always on the lean side, only during the first year with Lu Liang did she gain a bit of weight, barely breaking 110 pounds. But since the chaotic scene, she had lost weight again.

Even now, pregnant, she could only be said to have rounded out a bit, but definitely could not be considered fat.

"You just know how to say nice things to make happy," Su Wanyu muttered under her breath, but her curved eyes betrayed her joy.

"I’m just telling the truth."

During the conversation, Lu Liang also found out that Su Wanyu had visited the hospital again last week. She was 32 weeks pregnant and expected to deliver in about a month.

It’s a healthy baby girl.

"Co back with ," Lu Liang said earnestly.

He didn’t discuss what Su Wanyu would have decided if he hadn’t shown up, or whether she would’ve continued to hide it from him.

What had happened, had happened; what hadn’t, hadn’t—there were no ’ifs’ or ’maybes’.

Talking about it now was simply a waste of ti, like choosing between the red or blue pill on a forum, as if making a choice would change anything.

Before Su Wanyu could respond, suddenly there was a rush of hurried footsteps, growing rapidly louder, the rubber soles striking the shiny floor with a particularly crisp sound.

Su Wanyu was overjoyed, standing up quickly, and waving, "Xiaoxuan, we’re here."

Zheng Xiaoxuan paused for a mont, then strode over and sat directly next to Su Wanyu.

Her short hair was tied up in a small bun at the back of her head, and her pure white T-shirt had accumulated a fair bit of dust. Below her spicy jean shorts were a pair of khaki mid-calf boots.

She saw Lu Liang and was suddenly stunned; the pieces of her previous doubts seed to find their threads and linked together.

"Miss Zheng, thank you for taking care of Yu these past few days."

Lu Liang smiled, offering his right hand.

Zheng Xiaoxuan was caught off guard and extended her hand too, but the mont she touched Lu Liang’s palm, she suddenly regretted it.

In her mind, she had co here intent on fiercely confronting a scumbag, including possibly using physical force.

After all, she was a black belt in Taekwondo and a mber of the free combat club, taking down an adult male was not beyond her.

But she hadn’t expected the scumbag to be Lu Liang, who had been in a headline alongside businessn in Arica just a few days ago, and he was being so polite.

There’s a saying, "It’s hard to hit soone with a smiling face," and Lu Liang’s politeness left her feeling like she’d punched cotton.

Lu Liang waved the waiter over and flipped through the nu, "What would Miss Zheng like to eat? Any dietary restrictions?"

"Anything is fine."

Zheng Xiaoxuan was sullen, feeling a kind of frustration as if a grade-schooler lanting their performance in a fight after the fact.

"Xiaoxuan likes spicy food and doesn’t have any restrictions."

Su Wanyu whispered, with a smile pointing at Lu Liang, "Now that you have t him in person, are you happy?"

She said, "Xiaoxuan used to follow your Twitter, but then you stopped updating it."

"I got banned for a few days, and after that, I just couldn’t be bothered to post anymore."

Lu Liang chuckled and then ordered spicy shrimp and fried beef with spices among a few other spicy dishes.

He said, "This suddenly reminds of a friend from Chaoshan. He can’t eat any spice at all; a few drops of chili oil in clear soup is about as much as he can handle."

Su Wanyu and Zheng Xiaoxuan becoming good friends was also largely related to their hotown dialects.

Su Wanyu was from Lu Island, and Zheng Xiaoxuan was from Chaoshan, including Taiwan, they are all part of the Southern Fujian group.

Lu Liang had talked with Chinese expatriates before; they might not speak Mandarin, but they definitely spoke their hotown dialect.

Especially among the Southern Fujian Chinese diaspora, the love for their hotown dialect reached levels of pride and honor.

Zheng Xiaoxuan suddenly said, "My family is originally from Raoping."

Lu Liang was confused, that couldn’t be right, Zhuo Yifan’s background investigation should have been accurate.

Su Wanyu couldn’t help but laugh and quickly explained, "Chaoshan and Raoping are about as related as Su Province to the thirteen cities."

Lu Liang nodded in realization and changed the topic to his experiences in the United States over the past week.

Su Wanyu, seeing that Zheng Xiaoxuan didn’t like Lu Liang, helped facilitate the conversation, "Xiaoxuan loves ii the most."

Lu Liang smiled, "Then next ti, I’ll see if she can sign an autograph for you, and I’ll get you so VIP tickets to her concert."

Zheng Xiaoxuan resisted the sweet coating, and suddenly asked, "Lu Liang, how long do you plan to stay in Edinburgh?"

"About three days," Lu Liang considered for a mont and responded.
