"No, I don’t have a girlfriend."

"See, I told you, you can’t possibly have a girlfriend. With our Little Zoe around, you won’t even look at other won!"

David glanced at him casually: "You seem to rate her quite highly."

"Of course! Little Zoe is perfect to marry and bring ho as a wife. She’s beautiful, has a great personality, not petty like so girls, and most importantly, she’s a fantastic cook. With her around, there’s no need for takeout anymore! Oh, and she sings beautifully too."

As David spoke, he beca lancholic: "It’s a pity she doesn’t like ."

David’s gaze turned icy: "How co I didn’t know you have feelings for her? Don’t you like Grace Watt?"

David didn’t notice the change in David’s mood and said carelessly, "When did I ever like Grace Watt? We’re just friends, understand? Little Zoe’s so gentle, this is what a girl should be like. What’s wrong with having a little interest in her? You got a problem with that?"

Gentle?

What’s that supposed to an?

Could Zoe Lewis have hugged David?

The other day, she swore she had only hugged him!

David’s gaze grew colder; he stood up and walked out, deliberately tripping David as he passed by.

Despite his robust build, David was very agile, nimbly jumping over David’s foot, yelling, "What’s the matter? Trying to trip your buddy?"

David looked indifferent: "No, just testing your reaction ti," and then threw a book at his face with a "smack".

David caught the book, exclaiming, "What, trying to ruin my looks?" He wasn’t dumb; he knew David did it on purpose.

He laughed and moved closer to observe David’s glowing pale face: "You claim you don’t like Little Zoe, yet you won’t let fancy her! The Young Master gave you a three-day break, but you didn’t show up on Monday and took an extra day off. Co clean, where did you go? With Little Zoe?"

"Went mining."

"Huh?"

"There was a collapse at the coal mine, I got trapped at the bottom, so I took an extra day off."

"What?!"

David was incredulous: "Why on earth would you go mining? Didn’t your family sell the coal mine a long ti ago?"

To beco a secretary, one must undergo strict scrutiny, and David had all of David’s docunts.

David knew quite well the situation of David’s family. The coal business used to be very prosperous, making a fortune, but he had never heard of the coal boss’s son having to personally mine coal.

David: "Just experiencing life, do you have a problem?"

David: "No problem! But just don’t go mining in the future, it’s hard to find a suitable male secretary for the Young Master. If you get buried and can’t be dug out, the Young Master will have to find soone else, which is troubleso."

David shot him a cold look: "I won’t die!"

David chuckled as he watched David leave the office carrying docunts, finally catching his breath after drinking a cup of water.

Wait a minute, weren’t we just talking about Zoe Lewis? How did the topic swiftly shift to mining because of David!

Zoe Lewis even actively ssaged him to chat today; he hadn’t had a chance to tell David.

Luckily, he didn’t tell David, because after David heard him say "Little Zoe is so gentle", the anger was already burning through his insides.

David had good self-control, even when angry, he dealt with it internally, never lashing out at others. Of course, Zoe Lewis was an exception, she always had the knack for making him lose control.

But now, he wants to dig coal.
