Zoe Lewis took off the bracelet, handed it to Zoe Lewis, hung her head, and went downstairs to begin washing clothes in the bathroom.
Old Madam Lewis was sleeping but was awakened by Cherry Lewis’s screams and curses from the bedroom: "Cherry, what’s wrong? Who upset you?"
Cherry quickly greeted her, feeling wronged: "It’s all Zoe’s fault. She provoked when she returned, relying on Old Madam Hunter’s favoritism; I was so angry that I scolded her a bit, and it woke you up."
Zoe heard this in the bathroom and sneered. Cherry couldn’t stop pretending, even in front of her actual grandmother, putting all the bla on Zoe.
Zoe had no blood relation with Old Madam Lewis; Cherry was her true granddaughter, so no matter what Cherry said, the old lady believed her and sided with Cherry.
Zoe casually soaked the clothes in water, poured in detergent, left them, and started ssaging Isabella Weaver.
The Hunter Family’s matriarch’s planning had to be told to Isabella Weaver for her to make the decision.
It was past midnight, and Zoe thought Isabella had gone to sleep, but two minutes later, she received a ssage.
"Cooperate with the matriarch. Do whatever she tells you."
Zoe stared at the text, sowhat incredulous.
She thought Isabella would refuse.
In the villa, Isabella was still at her desk working late on designs.
She did not pay much attention to Zoe’s ssage.
She felt since the matriarch wanted Zoe to infiltrate, then just play along.
Zoe was considered one of her own, no mishaps would happen. If Zoe refused to help the matriarch, she would surely find soone else.
Rather than have an unfamiliar woman try to tempt Harry Hunter, it was better to have Zoe do it; at least Zoe wouldn’t act recklessly.
"Why aren’t you asleep yet? I’ve been waiting in bed for you for a while."
Harry Hunter ca into the study with a cup of hot milk, his wounded tone making Isabella smile.
She took the milk, drank it all in one go, her eyes bright: "Grandpa’s painting sparked a new inspiration for . I’m in good form tonight; I’ll draw for a bit longer, you go ahead to bed."
Harry watched her fair skin glow radiantly under the light; the late night didn’t diminish her beauty at all, but instead added an unusual charm to her.
Indeed, she was young, no matter the toll, she still burst with vitality.
She had just finished the milk, leaving a ring of white residue on her lips, looking adorable.
Harry took a tissue and gently wiped away the milk stain: "Don’t work too hard, go ahead with your drawing; I won’t disturb you."
He said this, and left the study with the empty cup, gently closed the door, leaving her the space.
Isabella felt her heart overflow with happiness and focused more intensely on drawing her design sketches.
An hour later, she finally finished her work.
She stretched, walked out of the study, returned to the bedroom, only to find Harry wasn’t there anymore.
She searched around, finally finding him in the gym on the third floor.
Isabella stared in amazent at the sweaty Harry: "Not sleeping at night, why did you co to work out?"
Harry worked out regularly every week, but had been less diligent lately, though his physique remained in great shape. Isabella felt he didn’t need to work out at all.
Harry stopped, picked up a towel to wipe his face and hands, and smiled lightly: "You’re working hard; I can’t fall behind, can I?"
He took Isabella downstairs: "I’ll be more active in working out from now on, to avoid aging too fast, so you won’t stop liking ."
