Half an hour later, Natalie’s condition stabilized.
Johan wiped the sweat from his forehead, yet his furrowed brows didn’t relax: "Without equipnt, I can’t see the damage to her internal organs. Her head has suffered a severe blow, and losing so much blood is not a good sign."
Bleeding itself isn’t fatal; what’s fatal is internal hemorrhaging.
Connor, anxious and heartbroken, asked, "What should we do then?"
"Let’s observe first. If it doesn’t work, we must take her to the hospital for a full examination. Exposing the fact that she’s alive is better than letting her really die."
And if they were careful enough, they might not even be exposed.
Exhausted, Johan sat on the floor. Natalie never told him much, but on the way there, Ruth ntioned they couldn’t let it be known that Natalie was alive, which gave him a vague glimpse into his sister’s crisis and predicant.
"Connor, is soone trying to kill my sister?"
"I don’t know for sure, but probably!"
Connor also sat on the floor by Natalie’s bed, restraining his urge to hold her, and said calmly and rationally: "She’s in a crisis. There’s a good chance soone might co to investigate us. You need to go to work as usual tomorrow; I’ll stick close to the Young Master as usual. Ruth will look after things here and make sure not to raise any suspicion. I will arrange a few more people to guard outside to ensure her safety."
Johan gave him a surprised look: "Have you beco this thorough in your thinking?"
Connor hadn’t really been much of a thinker before. With a master like Harry Hunter, who controlled everything, Connor didn’t need to think, just follow Harry’s orders.
He was a typical muscular type with a simple mind.
But now he was analyzing the situation and deploying personnel!
Connor gave a wry smile: "It’s your sister who trained . Spending ti with her, if I didn’t think a bit, I’d get tricked. She forced to learn to think."
Johan’s big eyes were full of curiosity, so why hadn’t his mind been trained by his sister?
Was he just too dumb?
After Ruth cleaned up all traces outside, she rushed in: "Johan, you should go back! Sister Natalie instructed earlier that you shouldn’t stay here. You must go ho and live as usual. Continue with your work tomorrow and pretend you haven’t seen her today!"
Johan couldn’t help but glance at Connor again; what he said was exactly the sa as what his sister had said!
He stood up and took out three packs of infusion dicine, placing them on the bedside table: "When this bottle is finished, replace it with this yellow one, then this transparent one, then this one."
Connor nodded, "I know."
Johan left, looking back every few steps. On the way, he asked Ruth, "Am I useless?"
Ruth was utterly surprised: "How could you be? You’re amazing! You can heal and save lives. Natalie’s injuries were so serious they scared out of my wits, yet you calmly saved her. Without you, we wouldn’t even know what to do today!"
Johan gazed out into the darkness outside the car window, sighed self-reproachfully, "But I can’t protect her."
"Everyone has different roles. So are good at fighting, so are good at diating, and you’re good at saving people. Isn’t that great? Every place needs doctors, especially all-rounders like you; everyone loves you! Sister Natalie often gets into fights, having a doctor brother like you gives her a lot of security!"
Johan let out a long breath, "Thank you."
In the future, he plans to learn more dical skills, inherit his master’s teachings, and then surpass him!
That way, he can beco a strong support for his sister!
